@OrtadragoonX Smh, that’s just ridiculous. So thankful the Star Wars license has moved away from EA. Don’t get me wrong, Fallen/Survivor is some of the best SW has been since KOTOR. But still…. Having one company like EA having more or less full control of the license was a bad move.
@Haruki_NLI ever since its launch I’ve been trying to figure out what it is about Wilds that just isn’t as good as Rise or MHGU….
The graphics are gorgeous, sound is superb, Monster designs are great…. The wound gimmick is nifty, and makes for some fun hunts….. and was super fun with the armor that made more wounds and healed you as you popped em….
But there was just something about it that felt more of a slog…. I played for about 300 hours or so and was done…. Meanwhile on MHGU i had over 1600 in the first year it was out, and that’s still climbing to this day. Rise I put in about 400-450 hours pre-Sunbreak, and have just recently gone back to it to do the Sunbreak content. Minus rampages, Rise felt more fun and engaging than Wilds. And with Sunbreak blows it out of the water.
I guess just further proof graphics don’t make the game as Wilds is far superior there, but about half as fun
Def would be a sale game for me most likely, and wouldn’t really even consider an initial purchase of Wilds unless it had Cross Save so I could pick my Xbox character back up where I left off….
Played through it plus it’s weekly content for a few months after it launched. It’s a decent MH, but not as good as Rise or MHGU, and def had some performance teething issues. From what I understand it’s a lot more stable and optimized now. And according to ProtonDB can even run on Steam Deck now at 30fps, or 50-60 if you use loseless or frame gen.
Have a feeling Capcom has this running nicely on S2 already….
That said, I doubt I’d be tempted to jump back in. Maybe in the future with an expansion or something. Rather play RiseBreak or MHGU.
@Dpullam Np! I love the Diablo series, especially D2. Been a fan of that since 2001. Very little comes close to it in terms of that “slot machine” feel when you hit a jackpot of getting a high rune or extremely rare unique. Even more so for offline. Finding my first Ber rune and first Ohm offline was truly insane.
But yeah, there’s still some solid ARPGs in the isometric category. Titan quest 1&2, and Grim Dawn, all made by the same company, are all solid.
Torchlight isn’t bad, more like a Diablo light.
Path of Exile is supposedly good, but I think its end game is supposedly a worse grind than anything else I’ve mentioned, lol. Can’t remember why though….. might be power creep insane grind with MTX speeding it up? Not sure..,.
@Dpullam It was originally described as Diablo with Souls-like features. I didn’t play in far enough to confirm that, but a good Diablo like always piques my interest. It was rough on the Steam Deck during the first month or so of Early Access so I put it down and haven’t tried it again yet.
Thinking of isometric ARPGs though, maaaaan I’d love for Grim Dawn to get a native Switch 2 port. Runs well on Steam Deck though the font / UI have some minor issues.
Played this in early access on Steam. Def didn’t draw me in like Ori did, so hopefully it’s come up a few steps since then. Steam reviews putting it at an overall 85% now it seems.
@ZeldaFan83 Runs great, can’t comment on the latest DLC build as I haven’t dove in yet. But base D2R is amazing. Everything I loved about D2 back in 2001, but portable! The switch version does only support 4 player online co-op which kinda sucks, but I play offline mostly anyways - can still use the p8 command (via in game menu slider) to set offline players to 8 and grind faster.
Otherwise the only caveat about console D2 is there’s no manual aim for skills, so you can’t place Blizzard, Meteor or Teleport locations. They’re auto targeted.
If we get a switch 2 patch, maybe they can toss in JoyCon mouse support for aiming things like that.
@Guitar_bard Soon as I saw it had popped up in the store (about 32 mins after it had been announced) I bought it, haven’t had a chance to dig in, but DLC for one of my favorite games in the past 25 years? Hell yeah!
I doubt we’ll see purchases in the app for the same reason Xbox doesn’t allow it, Nintendo would have to pay fees to Apple for any app transactions. Unless that has changed in the past year or so….
So most of the current handheld pc systems don’t hit 1080p/60fps on more modern titles. Most of them do 720-800p and upscale to 1080 in order to achieve 60fps. The basic rule of thumb for say Steam Deck, if it was a 360 era title like Fallout 3, sure it’ll run max settings at 60fps, but if it was PS3 and beyond expect to start adjusting settings in order to achieve 60fps. Anything PS4/5 era expect low settings and 720-800p in order to hit anything between 30-60fps.
And currently most devs don’t target a 40fps mode (which is honestly usually a perfect frame target in most titles) because only handful of systems have it natively on their screen, the rest of the game systems rely on the player having a tv or monitor capable of it. And I’m willing to bet a large portion of us are gaming on TVs from 2015-2019 era still where 120hz wasn’t super common.
But back to Arise…. Native 1080 is gonna look nice sure, and personally I’m fine with 30 fps in most titles. But they could have done a performance mode, dropped res to 720-800, and upscaled to 1080 giving a decent frame boost. Maybe not 60fps, but at least 40fps. And on a small screen 720-800 native upscaled to 1080 doesn’t look much different honestly.
@PikaPhantom exactly what you said! 40fps on S2 with VRR is clean, same with 45fps on Steam Deck OLED (it’s native 90hz). They really do need to nudge devs into 40fps modes, which on most titles would be a “balanced” mode. Usually removing some foliage, shadows and Lightning, while dropping native res to the 720-800 mark. Images still look clean, animation is smooth, there’s just not as much stuff going on in the pictures, which is fine.
@Friendly Missed that at the end! Truly truly hope things change around for BG3 and Borderlands 4!
Do I have the ability to play them elsewhere? Sure. But I’d much rather play em on my Switch if possible. Plus complete collections! Got all the BL games minus 4 and WL on switch, as well as all the BG/Planescape/Icewind/etc games on Switch.
@Woshiernog Man I don’t wanna take another loss after the news that BG3 is likely not comin our way. 🤣
But nah, I get it, I have indeed accepted it. Just hopeful we can get the unedited version / place the toggle back in. If I get it I get it, if not, I’ll still enjoy this one. Maybe double dip later on a steam sale for the uncensored version.
@Woshiernog I mean honestly we should be past this point. Nintendo learned a lesson in the 90s, when MK1 SNES undersold the Genesis version massively. And after playing through Cyberpunk 2077, Witcher 3, and Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry - all on Switch, I truly had assumed we were past that point.
But I digress. Again, I didn’t ask for a refund. I’m still enjoying the game, it truly is a great a game, even with the silly censor bars. I just think the whole thing was silly, unwarranted, and more over, could have been avoided entirely. Wish AdHoc would have paid us the same respect they showed Ps Players, but it’s whatever.
I chose not to take my business elsewhere where I can due to showing the devs that Switch is indeed a platform they should produce for. There might be a small handful or two of people on here that have bigger Switch collections than I do. Over 700 games at this point.
Edit - Adding another addendum to prove just how silly this all was. Imagine going to the theater and seeing Pulp Fiction and every scene was turned Pg-13 because the theater said they didn’t trust the ratings board. Or seeing Die Hard with the Yi-pi-ki-ay filtered out because the publisher didn’t trust audiences to hear it. That’s how silly this whole thing is.
@Woshiernog So it’s my fault that I’m a Nintendo fan, and I shouldn’t ask for parity across platforms is what you’re saying? And that as a Nintendo fan since the 1980s I shouldn’t have a say at all about said platform parity? You realize that’s ridiculous right? You realize that it’s the equivalent of saying “just shut up and deal with it”. Truly astonishing the lack of thought put into that good sir.
For the record I have a Steam Deck, PS4, Series X, and numerous past platforms…. I can choose when and where I spend my time, and my money. Both of which are valuable to me, with time being exceedingly more important.
All I ask in return for my time and money is being treated with respect. The fact of the matter is, and AdHoc fully admitted to, we were misled and weren’t made aware that this version would be censored.
This alone makes a case for a refund, which I did not do. After checking with the devs on discord, I have faith that the parity can be achieved. Again, even the devs said we all had the right to be upset, and that they handled it poorly.
Stop casting the blame on the consumer when we did nothing except excitedly await for a game that came out in a different state than expected.
@Vyacheslav333 Yeah, one thing that surprised me was a small rpg element in the mix. As you send the super heroes out to various jobs they level up and you can spend skill points adjusting their various stats which can affect the overall outcome of the jobs. Think of each dispatch as a DnD dice roll, and each super heroes having bonuses to the dice roll depending on situation. Best way I can describe it.
Edit - Also just like Telltale games, you have the ability to choose which dialog response in certain convos, as well as options how various scenes play out. One early example is an option to capture a thief or wrestling a blaster away from an old man. One option leads to the old man getting his pants blasted off. 🤣
Man now I really want BG3 on Switch 2. Really wish Hasbro and Larian (or use a port specialist like Saber or Panic) could come together one more time for that one!!
Loved OP1, haven’t finished OP2 yet - it’s still stuck in my backlog.
I think I already know the answer to this, but can I just jump to OP0 then go back to OP2 without spoiling anything for myself? I don’t think the stories are connected but I could be wrong so I just want to make sure first. I’m dying to try out some of the new mechanics and features of 0.
Still working on Dispatch, I kept my pre-order copy and have been enjoying it. Honestly the censorship stuff, while silly and unwarranted, doesn’t ruin the experience. Still a really great game, one of the best of the genre. Just started Episode 3 last night, and have been quite enjoying it.
I hope in the states and eu we get a patch that brings the toggle back in, but if they have to release a whole separate version like they did with Ps5, I’d double dip. One of those rare gems that’s worth it.
@RiaTheWitch I had the same thought then I remembered Leisure Suit Larry and SMT’s blatant phallus demon.
With most censorship/banning of Eastern games coming to the West it’s 99% of the time due to underage sexualization. Understandable as Japan typically is lax about 13-14 year olds in bikini’s, whereas that doesn’t fly here in the states.
The other thought I just had last night, Cyberpunk’s other major difference over Dispatch - it has a physical version. Nintendo would have less input over a physical version releasing at major retailers than the ESRB. The ESRB would control that. If a game is cleared to release in retail outlets, then Nintendo would be hard pressed to ask for censorship on the eShop for the same title.
On the flip, if a game is digital only, and fails to meet one of the ratings boards guidelines (CERO), then it would be easier for this situation to happen.
100% if AdHoc decided to release a physical version that was uncensored and was cleared by ESRB, then it would have had no issue having an uncensored version on the eshop. Alas smaller studio, less resources, etc. This most likely boils down to money and getting pigeon holed by overseas ratings.
Edit - If Nintendo was truly concerned about parents finding a loop hole to buy this for their kids, which is the only reason I can think of as the game looks cartoonish and is about super heroes…. Then the answer was so much simpler than this turned out to be. They just needed a massive disclaimer directly on the eshop page listing
“This game features adult content and is intended for adult audiences.”
Done.
Again, we have Cyberpunk, GTA, Witcher 3, LSL, etc… all featuring heavy adult themes regarding sex and sexuality, some with blatant full frontal nudity. Trust that the adults know what they’re doing, and that a large portion of us adults with children grew up during the ESRB formation and know how to parent our children when it comes to games. I personally vet games before I let my kiddos play them, either by playing them myself or watching a break down of everything contained within.
@ThatOneLevel In this particular instance it’s not about what was censored, it is about platform parity. Basically it’s ridiculous that because we’ve chosen Switch as a primary platform that we get shafted. We should be far past that point in gaming, as the 90s and Mortal Kombat should have taught all companies.
As paying consumers we also shouldn’t be treated like children who don’t know how or what to buy. It’s condescending, and undermining.
And lastly it was, as AdHoc fully admits, very poor communication on this being a censored version to begin with.
As for Xeno and FE, those, like many other Eastern games, got censored on the way over due to provocative/sexualized clothing on npcs listed under age. Difference in regional acceptance. Japan is fine with 13-14 year olds in bathing suits but censors male genitals in even adult only media. America is on the flip, only 18+ should be provocative, and a hanging dangler is fine on mature / R rated content.
@ottoecamn “ We’re already working with Nintendo on a path forward. While we can’t make any specific promises just yet, we’re confident we’ll be able to push an update to address at least some of the censored content. I'll get ahead of it now and say that between dev time and the console submission process, we're talking weeks not days.”
This portion would indicate that they truly did decide to take the easy route and port the Japanese censored pc/ps version as a worldwide release on switch. At least that’s my take away from it. And that has more or less been verified with various bits of evidence.
As someone else stated, if they chose to release uncensored and censored versions on Switch that would equal 4 total versions between S1 and S2, where their answer equaled only 2 versions, both censored; one for switch and one for switch 2.
For Pc and Ps they did 2 versions each as well. Uncensored Pc/Ps and Japan Censored Pc/Ps.
Dollars to donuts the Ps/Pc Japan version is a 1:1 ratio to Switch versions. Just makes the most business sense when you want to quickly release a game.
I’m less interested in the how/why at this point though and more interested in the rectifying. At the very least Nintendo must realize that not having parity with other platforms will cause sales loss, and more over, consumers doubting whether or not they should purchase an M rated game on their platform. And Devs should realize us as consumers deserve better treatment and respect than what was given to us. This is our hard earned money that we part with, we deserve to not be treated like children.
And for the record, I maintained my pre-order, and did not request a refund. I have faith that this situation can and will be solved at some point.
@Spider-Kev True. I haven’t made it to the particular scene yet, but Johnny supposedly has a full frontal scene that’s part of the story snd unskippable. (Not that I care about skipping)
I’m fine with all the nudity and adult themes in the game. Funny enough it’s the in game ads that are the most “offensive” to me. Lawdy it’s errrywhere! Lmao
Based on the in game ads, you’d think everything was just Burritos, Sex and Guns. People in business suits stand out comparatively to the ads. 🤣
@Spider-Kev It is in the customization screen. Maybe not cutscenes, but def customization and when you dress your avatar, as you can adjust your pubic hair. Same for male avatars.
@Markatron84 In the Japanese version Cyberpunk is censored regardless of platform. For Western shops Cyberpunk is not censored. Can confirm full nudity on Switch version as I own it.
@Alienfanatic Beat me to the punch. Just found the reddit post where myriada confirmed the same binary across all switch regions (BR37A). So this was indeed AdHoc just releasing one singular version of the game that would pass all standards in all regions.
Shame. Wish they would have done like they did with Ps and Pc and released two versions. Shame we didn’t get the same treatment.
For those that don’t know the Japanese release of this on Ps5 is the same version as the Switch version. CERO guidelines forced that decision. And apparently AdHoc didn’t feel like making the effort again on Switch to make 2 versions, one for Japan and one of the rest of the world….
Maybe, just maybe, we’ll get a patch that adds the toggle back in.
Again, this whole thing is ridiculous for so many reasons, but the biggest is the sheer fact that an M rated digital game cannot be bought by an under 18 account, let alone even seen on the eShop, and if by some chance the game made it on to the switch via maybe a parent account, it still cannot be played by the underage account….
Ask me how I know? By trying to play RE5 with my daughter…. The literal only answer was to buy the game on her moms account and use her moms account to run it. Smh. You can’t even overwrite the ability to play M rated games via parental controls. As long as the account has birthday that’s under 18, it’ll be locked out of the game until the account turns 18. There’s been numerous posts on Reddit about it and how stupid it is that you can’t even adjust it via parental controls.
@Sonicka Would love for Nintendo and AdHoc to rectify this some how. It’s late in the evening stateside so likely won’t hear about anything till morning, if at all. But would be awesome if they could address it and let us know if there’s hope for the future of getting this patched back to an uncensored version/toggle version. With all the complaints and refunds I’m sure SOMEONE at Nintendo has taken notice, and likely AdHoc as well.
As far as LSL goes, if you only played the Ps versions you’re truly missing out on what made the series great. The Ps/Xbox versions were garbage in comparison. If you have a Pc you can get the original package on GoG.com or Steam. Well worth the $10-15.
@Sonicka Leisure Suit Larry has been around since 1987, and is in no way shovelware, or remotely tied into the hentai or shovelware crowd.
Its beginnings started as a game titled Softp*rn Adventure back in 1981 on the Apple II. It’s had a VERY long standing as the original adult comedy game. The original LSL titles 1-7 are some of the best and funniest point and click adventures around.
There is not a snow balls chance that LSL got over looked by an automated system. 🤣
But yeah, I believe AdHoc just took the easy way. Makes the most business sense. I just don’t think they handled it properly. Should have been a glaring warning on the pre-order page that the game had been altered.
@Friendly Yup. Hopefully the refunds will make the dev and Nintendo take note so that the game and situation can be rectified before it’s too late.
I hate to see a good game suffer just because of a poor decision…. Buying on another platform doesn’t really solve the problem, just causes a new one where devs think the switch platform isn’t viable…. . Review bombing might raise enough of an eye brow…. Anything to get the word out to Nintendo and AdHoc….
Pre-ordered it, will still enjoy it. Not huffed by the devs decision to make it easier on themselves for a launch release. Hopefully they can patch it to make it toggle-able again, but if not big whoop.
This is likely stemming from Japan censorship and AdHoc just wanting an easy no fuss release as others have pointed out.
I know Oblivion Remastered runs on U5, and possibly Avowed? But I think both those games would look and run great on S2. Both run on steam deck, Oblivion runs nicely and looks decent. Avowed runs okayish and looks okayish on SD. If they could just iron out the kinks, think S2 could run stuff like that better….
@Leecpfc true, but getting a copy since 2013 has been nigh impossible without illegal measures.
Fable 3 was removed from Steam (and other PC stores) in late 2013 primarily because its required online service, Games for Windows – LIVE (GFWL), was shut down by Microsoft, which prevented new digital sales and key activations. Since GFWL handled DLC and authentication, its closure made the PC version effectively unpurchaseable and problematic to play for new users, leading to its delisting.
Given the nature of it having GFWL baked in, it would have to be remade regardless. Currently the only store front you can still purchase and play the fable series in it’s entirety on is Xbox.
@ketchUP_reLoaded Unfortunately 2&3 never made it off Xbox, they don’t even have pc versions! So in order for those to release on modern platforms they’d have to be remasters. Currently as it stands you either have to emulate 360 or own the 360 versions and play them through 360/Xb1/Series S/X. I was remote playing them from my Series X on to my steam deck and just dreaming of having the complete series on Switch. Man that would be amazing
Correction - there was a pc version of Fable 3 that was linked to GFWL, but had all traces removed from storefronts. Fable 2 however truly never did get a pc version.
@Jigu Glad i wasn’t the only one that thought Fable 3 was much “lighter” than Fable 1 or 2…. The Magic glove system, while nifty for making mixed spells, was meh overall. Think that was mainly introduced just because Oblivion was doing its “create your own spell” system. Overall tho the flow of Fable 3 was off and didn’t feel like you were living in a fairytale like F1&2 did.
@somnambulance Yeah if it runs on Series S it’ll run on S2. The only caveat there is Unreal 5. So far it’s had hiccups. Hopefully that’ll be resolved soon, and we’ll see how it plays out with Borderlands 4. No clue what Fable is running on though. And I keep forgetting that Nintendo was stingy with the dev kits.
I do believe that once Square, Ubi, and Capcom show off sales figures on S2 that other devs will want to jump in, provided they have the dev kits to do so. Would love to see how some of these major third party games have fared on the system so far.
@ParrakerriRush back in 2004 Microsoft answered a question we didn’t know we had…. “What if Zelda was made for adults?”
For its time it was mind blowing. Very good graphics (for the time), mature themes, and you could live out the fantasy of being a hero or villain. You could buy houses, shops, get married, etc. Was truly amazing for its time.
This is a reboot of the series. And from the looks of it it would seem to be almost medieval Red Dead with magic. I’m truly excited and impressed.
@somnambulance if MS has games in the pipeline for S1/S2 then Nintendo and MS would be smart to host a dedicated developer direct just for them to highlight and showcase the games coming to the platform. I’m holding out hope that’s what they’re doing. But it may also be the case that S2 just doesn’t have the install base yet to warrant porting games. A standard port of a game that’s already made costs between 2-6m to port typically. So the simple math would say you need to sell at least 250k copies @ $30 just to break even. Currently there’s about 10m S2 units sold, so at least 2.5% of the current install base would have to buy whatever game is ported and at $30. Most of the time however, they want ports to sell at least 300-500k copies and usually at $40-60 so they can make a profit. Thats a bigger ask and gamble given the current install base.
Once S2 hits the 20-30m mark the ports will flow easier, and after 50m ports will be all but guaranteed
@CaptainQuo Yeah watching Beast of Reincarnation there was nothing that screamed at me the S2 couldn’t handle it. Especially after seeing Outlaws and FF7R in action on S2. However, I’m unsure of the engine Gamefreak is using…. If it’s Unreal 5, then that could be why. So far it’s had hiccups working on S2 sadly as noted by the BL4 delay.
I’ll buy two copies if they port it to Switch 2. Hell may even buy a third just to give to a friend or random internet person that wants it but can’t afford it.
“Shut up and take my money!”
@Divide_and_Wander I thought the same. Knew it was only going to be 4 games, but I figured there would be some sort of Switch / Switch 2 mention. Then I remembered we should have a Direct on the horizon, and Nintendo LOVES to save announcements for that. Honestly would not surprise me if Fable was announced then and everyone is verbally dancing around that until Nintendo confirms with a Direct.
I do hope for more Xbox/Nintendo love in the next Direct, and if the rumors about FO3/NV remakes are true, I’ll finally understand why they never ported those titles to S1 and instead waited to launch remakes on S2. I don’t expect to see them in the direct though, that would likely be something that MS would want to officially announce themselves. I am hopeful for Oblivion and Avowed ports however. Those would do well on S2

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Direct February Partner Predictions - What Do You Want To See?
@Friendly Missed that at the end! Truly truly hope things change around for BG3 and Borderlands 4!
Do I have the ability to play them elsewhere? Sure. But I’d much rather play em on my Switch if possible. Plus complete collections! Got all the BL games minus 4 and WL on switch, as well as all the BG/Planescape/Icewind/etc games on Switch.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Direct February Partner Predictions - What Do You Want To See?
@Friendly nearly perfect list! Need to add Avowed and Fable to that list!
Re: "People Have A Right To Be P****d" - Dispatch Dev Says It Intends To Address "At Least Some" Censored Switch Content
Re: "People Have A Right To Be P****d" - Dispatch Dev Says It Intends To Address "At Least Some" Censored Switch Content
Re: "People Have A Right To Be P****d" - Dispatch Dev Says It Intends To Address "At Least Some" Censored Switch Content
Re: Feature: Nintendo Life eShop Selects (January 2026)
Re: Feature: Nintendo Life eShop Selects (January 2026)
@Vyacheslav333 Lol do tell!
And yeah it’s an interactive game just like the Telltales series of games. Great stuff!
Re: Feature: Nintendo Life eShop Selects (January 2026)
@9-Volt I’ve got Dustland and They Are Billions on my wishlist, curious how Dustland is.
Reminds me of the original Oregon Trail but with a post apocalyptic twist and organizing caravans routes.
Re: Octopath Traveler 0 Receives New Update On Switch And Switch 2
Loved OP1, haven’t finished OP2 yet - it’s still stuck in my backlog.
I think I already know the answer to this, but can I just jump to OP0 then go back to OP2 without spoiling anything for myself? I don’t think the stories are connected but I could be wrong so I just want to make sure first. I’m dying to try out some of the new mechanics and features of 0.
Re: Feature: Nintendo Life eShop Selects (January 2026)
Still working on Dispatch, I kept my pre-order copy and have been enjoying it. Honestly the censorship stuff, while silly and unwarranted, doesn’t ruin the experience. Still a really great game, one of the best of the genre. Just started Episode 3 last night, and have been quite enjoying it.
I hope in the states and eu we get a patch that brings the toggle back in, but if they have to release a whole separate version like they did with Ps5, I’d double dip. One of those rare gems that’s worth it.
Re: "People Have A Right To Be P****d" - Dispatch Dev Says It Intends To Address "At Least Some" Censored Switch Content
Re: Dispatch Dev AdHoc Responds To Nintendo's Statement, Says It Intends To Address Censored Switch Content
Re: Nintendo Responds To Dispatch Switch Censorship With Official Statement
Re: Nintendo Responds To Dispatch Switch Censorship With Official Statement
Quick update from AdHoc @Liam_Doolan
https://www.reddit.com/r/DispatchAdHoc/s/9BH8H3HkXZ
Re: Nintendo Responds To Dispatch Switch Censorship With Official Statement
@Spider-Kev True. I haven’t made it to the particular scene yet, but Johnny supposedly has a full frontal scene that’s part of the story snd unskippable. (Not that I care about skipping)
I’m fine with all the nudity and adult themes in the game. Funny enough it’s the in game ads that are the most “offensive” to me. Lawdy it’s errrywhere! Lmao
Based on the in game ads, you’d think everything was just Burritos, Sex and Guns. People in business suits stand out comparatively to the ads. 🤣
Re: Nintendo Responds To Dispatch Switch Censorship With Official Statement
@Spider-Kev It is in the customization screen. Maybe not cutscenes, but def customization and when you dress your avatar, as you can adjust your pubic hair. Same for male avatars.
Re: Nintendo Responds To Dispatch Switch Censorship With Official Statement
@Markatron84 In the Japanese version Cyberpunk is censored regardless of platform. For Western shops Cyberpunk is not censored. Can confirm full nudity on Switch version as I own it.
Re: Nintendo Responds To Dispatch Switch Censorship With Official Statement
Re: Nintendo Responds To Dispatch Switch Censorship With Official Statement
Re: PSA: Dispatch's 'Visual Censorship' Settings Can't Be Removed On Switch
Re: PSA: Dispatch's 'Visual Censorship' Settings Can't Be Removed On Switch
Are we allowed to share email links here?
AdHoc has an email address where those of us who want to can voice disapproval of this decision.
[email protected]
Re: PSA: Dispatch's 'Visual Censorship' Settings Can't Be Removed On Switch
Re: PSA: Dispatch's 'Visual Censorship' Settings Can't Be Removed On Switch
@Friendly Yup. Hopefully the refunds will make the dev and Nintendo take note so that the game and situation can be rectified before it’s too late.
I hate to see a good game suffer just because of a poor decision…. Buying on another platform doesn’t really solve the problem, just causes a new one where devs think the switch platform isn’t viable…. . Review bombing might raise enough of an eye brow…. Anything to get the word out to Nintendo and AdHoc….
Re: PSA: Dispatch's 'Visual Censorship' Settings Can't Be Removed On Switch
I’d also like to point out that Leisure Suit Larry is on the platform….. the ORIGINAL game series about s*x and nudity….
This is truly an odd choice by the devs….
Re: PSA: Dispatch's 'Visual Censorship' Settings Can't Be Removed On Switch
Pre-ordered it, will still enjoy it. Not huffed by the devs decision to make it easier on themselves for a launch release. Hopefully they can patch it to make it toggle-able again, but if not big whoop.
This is likely stemming from Japan censorship and AdHoc just wanting an easy no fuss release as others have pointed out.
Re: The Fable Reboot Is Reportedly "Under Consideration" For Switch 2
@Raffles Awesome! This might be possible then!
Re: The Fable Reboot Is Reportedly "Under Consideration" For Switch 2
Re: The Fable Reboot Is Reportedly "Under Consideration" For Switch 2
Re: The Fable Reboot Is Reportedly "Under Consideration" For Switch 2
@Jigu Glad i wasn’t the only one that thought Fable 3 was much “lighter” than Fable 1 or 2…. The Magic glove system, while nifty for making mixed spells, was meh overall. Think that was mainly introduced just because Oblivion was doing its “create your own spell” system. Overall tho the flow of Fable 3 was off and didn’t feel like you were living in a fairytale like F1&2 did.
Re: The Fable Reboot Is Reportedly "Under Consideration" For Switch 2
Re: The Fable Reboot Is Reportedly "Under Consideration" For Switch 2
@ParrakerriRush back in 2004 Microsoft answered a question we didn’t know we had…. “What if Zelda was made for adults?”
For its time it was mind blowing. Very good graphics (for the time), mature themes, and you could live out the fantasy of being a hero or villain. You could buy houses, shops, get married, etc. Was truly amazing for its time.
This is a reboot of the series. And from the looks of it it would seem to be almost medieval Red Dead with magic. I’m truly excited and impressed.
Re: The Fable Reboot Is Reportedly "Under Consideration" For Switch 2
Re: The Fable Reboot Is Reportedly "Under Consideration" For Switch 2
@CaptainQuo Yeah watching Beast of Reincarnation there was nothing that screamed at me the S2 couldn’t handle it. Especially after seeing Outlaws and FF7R in action on S2. However, I’m unsure of the engine Gamefreak is using…. If it’s Unreal 5, then that could be why. So far it’s had hiccups working on S2 sadly as noted by the BL4 delay.
Re: The Fable Reboot Is Reportedly "Under Consideration" For Switch 2
