I have to stop reading news in the morning. I can't help but imagine Nintendo trying to convince people to update with a "Dupes are for dopes" 90's era drug PSA.
I wouldn't pay $30 for most of the stuff coming from Sega nowadays, but that's just me. Inflation is a thing. Everything else in the world has gone up a lot for a long time since the last time AAA games went up in price, so it only makes sense.
I'm not usually a fan of remakes. I want straight-up ports. But with something like this there are already so many ways to play it, and it is a bit impenetrable. Add to that how well done the Link's Awakening was, and I'm all-in on a Zelda 1&2 remake.
I remember really enjoying Bart's Nightmare when I was a kid. But I haven't played it in almost two decades, so I can't really remember much about it. Other than getting really mad at the Itchy & Scratchy level.
Every single person I have spoken to in person has said they would rather have the original voice actor. They might not know him by name, but they say that's who they want. Some are core gamers some are casual gamers, but they all say the same general thing about it.
Of course I always wantt more Zelda and Silksong news, but Despot's Game and Shel Knight: Dig are both coming out in the best couple weeks, so I'm pretty good for the month. For the first time in a while, I'm going into this one pretty open to whatever they have to offer.
Looks pretty great. Celeste metroidvania looks like an apt description. As long as I am reminded about it closer to release, I'll probably check it out.
Nintendo doesn't have a great track record for sticks in general. If you look at first party N64 controllers, it's extremely rare to find one now that doesn't have a stick that just sits on the side of the gate. Fortunately there are some quality Thursday party stuff being made. Wish I could find this old Logitech Xbox controller that that they used to make. Super ergonomic and responsive. Way better than the ones they make now.
I'd rather have a working gamepad. Both of my pro controllers started drifting around the same time. A $70 controller should not do this. If I buy another gamepad this generation, it will certainly be third party.
The artwork and the sound are nice. Not 100% sold on the animation. But I said the same about Sundered and that was pretty good. I'll wait for a review.
Looks fun, but the kind of thing that I would ibky Olay in game nights with friends, so not having four-player local multi-player is an instant pass on this for me. But night reconsider if they add it later.
Yes. Any Necromancer announcements are welcome. It's been a while since I've seen an announcement that got me super excited. The only games I'm super excited about are Despot's Game and Silksong, so this is great.
Sounds like people were told there was going to be one thing, and then the company got lazy. Or they knew from the beginning it was going to lean that direction and choose to advertise it otherwise, even if they changed the advertising later.

Re: Speedrunner Beats Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom In Just 94 Minutes
That's intense. At this rate it will likely be under and hour in less than a week.
Re: Hollow Knight: Silksong No Longer Releasing In The First Half Of 2023
Tell me it's 2025 if thats the case. But I just want a solid release date.

Sold
Re: Review: Nuclear Blaze - A Neat Little Action Platformer, Small And Cool
If it's $15, I'm in. After I work on the backlog.
Re: Review: Nuclear Blaze - A Neat Little Action Platformer, Small And Cool
I'm spoiled on awesom indie games and awesome sales, so $30 is a bit steep for me, but on a good sale, immediate buy.

Re: Talking Point: What Is A 'Traditional' Zelda Game, Anyway?
The ability to throw a chicken
Re: Talking Point: Which Is Your Favourite Nintendo Controller? Every Nintendo Pad Ranked
I'd say Wii U Pro, but high gloss I'd just a bad choice for a controller. Doesn't provide the proper grip.
Re: Four Sega Genesis / Mega Drive Games Have Been Added To Switch Online's Expansion Pack
Kid chameleon might finally be the tipping pint where I add the expansion pak

Re: Pre-Purchase Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom At GameStop And Get A Free Wooden Plaque
@dazzleshell
I'd be more likely to get it if it WAS a chopping board. Still wouldn't get it wither way.
Re: This Latest Switch 'Rival' From Razer Launches At The End Of The Month
Can someone just make that my phone? I'm sure there's hurdles, butnit doesn't seem that crazy to ask, and I've been asking for years.

Re: Voice Of Mario Charles Martinet Thanks Fans For All The "Love And Kindness"
I think everyone wanted him for the voice. Nothing against Chris Pratt, I'm just kind of tired of him. Oversaturation is real.
Re: Overwatch 2's New Phone Number Requirement Is Rejecting Pre-Paid Plans
No one can make an amazing IP just to destroy it like Blizzard can.
Re: Overwatch 2 Servers Hit By "Mass DDoS Attack" On Launch Day
Are we sure it's a DDOS? Being fully unprepared for launch day just seems like par from the course from Blizzard.
Re: 2D Multiplayer Game 'Killer Queen Black' To Shut Down Next Month
And kudos to them for trying to open source it. I wish more developers would do that.
Re: 2D Multiplayer Game 'Killer Queen Black' To Shut Down Next Month
The games is super solid, and just never had enough people playing it. Sad story as old as time. Only this time it was a game I really like.

Re: Talking Point: What Did You Think Of The September 2022 Nintendo Direct?
More like Square Enix Direct.
Factorio on Switch might be fun. Nice to have a Zelda release date. But nothing that really got me excited.
Re: Talking Point: What Do You Want To See At Tomorrow's Nintendo Direct Showcase?
Of course I always wantt more Zelda and Silksong news, but Despot's Game and Shel Knight: Dig are both coming out in the best couple weeks, so I'm pretty good for the month. For the first time in a while, I'm going into this one pretty open to whatever they have to offer.

Re: Video: Square Enix Releases New Official Trailer For Dragon Quest X Offline
For some reason the mouth on that thumbnail loks like a mustache, and so the thumbnail looks like Randy Marsh.

Re: Metal Slug Tactics Delayed To Next Year
Between this and Silksonsg, 2023 is looking pretty good.
Re: Square Enix Is Potentially Looking To Sell Stakes In Its Studios
Will they not learn? This often doesn't work. It's the payday loan of the business world.
Re: Tencent Is Seeking A Bigger Stake In 'Mario + Rabbids' Publisher Ubisoft
Great. Another move toward only having five companies in the world and having governments own them all.
Re: Logitech And Tencent Games Are Working On A Cloud-Based Handheld Console
Cloud-based AND Tencent? No thanks. I don't care if it causes pizza to materialize in my home. I'm out.
