I’m totally cool with a delay it just means the quality will be there and will not be rushed. I’ve beem stuck on the Robot for over a month now to where I’ve stopped playing and he is my last stage to clear before King Dice. I have a much harder time on the flying stages than the platforming ones. I’ve even watched YouTube videos and I just can’t replicate the patterns.
Sweet!!! I thought I was the only one who loved Kass in BOTW. I agree with you in that he is one of the most underrated characters in my opinion. I’ve been sad that there was no Amiibo or any real official merchandise featuring Kass when he is such a interesting and integral part of the game.
World of light and the whole spirit system is so much fun. I have put a lot more time into World of light than I have playing regular Smash. Just adds a totally new twist to make you feel like you are almost playing a different game at some points but it still always feels like Smash.
The 4 tables play wonderfuly In my opinion and when you are playing you do not notice the changed artwork. If I had a choice I would rather have them kept the original art but it is a compromise I'm willing to take to let Pinball FX take over licensing from the Pinball arcade. I personally always liked the physics feel in FX more than the Pinball arcade. In the big picture it really isn't a big deal when you consider the gameplay which is most important.
Visually speaking these two games don't scream to me like the Streamworld series or Stick it to the man/Flipping Death. I'm pretty underwhelmed to be honest and hopefully they have some better looking games in the pipeline cause the previously mentioned games are simply gorgeous in my opinion.
Octopath might honestly be my favorite video game soundtrack, it is absolutely amazing. I've probably added around 5 hours to my playtime just standing still and listening to the music.
I started playing the master mode in Breath of the Wild this week so I'll be continuing that. I have also been on the fence with Hollow Knight, but with this discount I'm gonna have to pick it up so I'll be playing some of that too.
@beazlen1 @MongolRaider If you guys are into Street Fighter, I was playing the 30th anniversary collection last night for a good hour or so and I was having no problem finding people to play with.
@Deadstanley Haha I thought the same thing my eyes struggled really bad to read that I had to zoom in quite a bit. I guess that's the drawbacks of getting old
8 hours in and I am having such a great time with this game. In my opinion this game has one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard in a video game, gives me an eargasm every time one of the battle tracks begin absolutely gorgeous. Might bookmark this page and use this for some reference once I get farther and need a little assistance.
@The_Pixel_King In my opinion I would spend the extra $20 for the 30th anniversary collection. Ultra SF2 is a really good game but is pretty much a prettier more polished Super SF2 Turbo that is included in the collection. On top of that if you want to play online there is no one playing Ultra SF2 anymore. I tried the other day for the hell of it bout a week after the 30th collection release and I never got a match to play. The 30th collection also has a simply amazing history section that goes incredibly in depth, and probly the best part it has every single music track from every game. I was cleaning the house the other day to Ken's stage music in SSF2T,and to say it was pretty bad ass would be an understatement.
DKC Tropical Freeze, Splatoon 2 as I gotta rock Michelangelo (none of this Mikey nonsense) in Splatfest and finally a little Breath of the Wild in between. Just at about 300 hours in that game and I still find new things all the time. Absolutely deserves all of the accolades it has received.
Great idea to keep having these tournaments. I know I will never have any chance of winning after seeing the scores, but pinball is always a blast so I don't care.
Bayonetta 2 and Punchout arcade. The button commands in Punchout fell slightly slow to react but I'm still having a blast. The Punchout series is one of my all time favorites. Now what we need is a new Punchout for Switch that would be a dream game of mine.
Simply can't wait for this game. I might have been more excited over the Octopath news than anything else on the direct yesterday. I am gonna try my best to get the special edition but I have a strong feeling it will be in limited quantities and pre orders will be up and gone before you know it.
And for everyone curious bout Babies "R" Us they are in same exact boat. My daughter is a little under 2 years old so we would go to Babies r us all the time. Bout last 6 months though stock has gotten pretty bad and they are shutting down by the end of May the cashier told me. It really sucks beacause lots of good people are losing jobs which is not a new occurrence in this internet day and age unfortunately but it doesn't make it any less sad.
I was a kid of the late 80's early 90's era so I was definitely a Toys "R" Us kid. I understand why they are going under but it's just sad to me to see all these places being shut down. I would get so happy every time I had that little ticket in my hand. I'll never forget calling to see if they had Donkey Kong Country when it was sold out everywhere. Store by my house had 3 left and they couldn't place them in hold, you have no idea how hard I begged my mom but finally we got down there and I literally got the LAST ONE!!! I vividly remember running to the game rack pulling the last little ticket out of the pouch and raising above my head with a shout of pure joy. I literally felt like Charlie Bucket when he got the golden ticket. Those are memories I'll never forget
@JohnBlackstar It's already been happening. Over last year or so I've seen a lot of products go up in price from what they were before. And don't get me started on there new amazon delivery service. It's just some random guy in his 87 Toyota stuffed with packages who has no care for your items at all . I've had two items not delivered that said they were in the last year and numerous other issues. As Amazon keeps making millions upon millions they are just getting cheaper and cheaper.
Ive been loving my Switch since launch day. My first system ever was a Game Boy,so I have always loved handheld gaming as a result of that. So with the Switch being a hybrid it just checks all the boxes for me. The games in the first year have been for the most part simply amazing. We get Breath of the Wild to start the year and Odyssey to close the year, which are two of the best games of the year for any console. We have some good times ahead of us people.Now enough rambling I got some Switch to play.
@Mr_Pepperami The Mega Man fiasco is what has me worried. I would hope after some of the backlash they are receiving from that decision they don't pull the same move and put all games on the card because we all know they can fit on the average size card with ease.Fingers crossed 🤞🤞🤞
Holy crap I totally didn't think of that. Street Fighter is one of my favorite childhood experiences to have with my friends. I've been totally looking forward to this while forgetting who makes this. If Capcom f**** this up and does not put all of the 12 games on the cart I'm gonna be so disappointed. Please Capcom it's not that hard to not blow this collection just put ALL THE GAMES ON ONE DAMN CART!!!!
Bayonetta 2 is just a great game to play on the Switch. Playing a game of that magnitude anywhere you want is so much fun. If you don't own the game for the Wii U I would highly recommend this game. It doesn't sell boatloads or is very mainstream series but it has very high reviews everywhere you look (scored 90 on metacritic). I love how everything in the game is just over the top craziness. I admit unless you are a huge fan of the series like me there isn't much reason to double dip, but if you never have or have been thinking about playing this series and you own a Switch then now is definitely the time.
Finishing up Bayonetta 1, (at final stage ) definitely happy I played through Bayo 1 before I start 2. Such an amazing well made series and I can't wait till Bayo 3. Besides that probly a little balloon world or a little Splatoon 2.
Not fighters I use at all but I'm gonna play a while. I wasn't a huge fan of Kid Cobra but after the last Party Crash he became one of my favorites so maybe I'll get into one of these characters with some extended play.
@Link41
You are in for a treat my friend. My first ever Zelda experience, I think I was about 11 or 12 when it was released. Such a great game and the only Zelda with Goombas I believe.
Gonna be playing probly nothing but the ARMS Party Crash this weeken, rack up some cash with Kid Cobra. If I decide to play anything else to break it up it will be with Celeste most likely. I am really digging that game a lot more than I expected definitely deserving of the praise it's been receiving.
Sweet!!!! I've been looking forward to this game since the first trailer. I am really liking the games from this studio. Stick it to the man is a great game and Fe just looks amazing. I absolutely love the art direction Zoink has in there games. I can't wait till next week to get Fe and I will be sure getting the physical copy of Flipping Death. Like someone said above already this shows a lot of confidence the developers have in there games to announce and release physical along with digital before they see what the digital sales will become. A couple weeks ago Zoink partnered with Image & form ( makers of the Steam World series )to form a new studio called Thunderful and I can't wait to see what the first game will be with there collaboration.
Hold on I'm confused? So is " Tournament mode " just versus mode with all the arms unlocked beacause I don't see any actual tournament setting or function ?
Wow I'm kind of surprised in 2018 that this many people are still offended by tattoos. If you don't want a tattoo or like tattoos that's totally cool, but to judge people for doing something that they obviously enjoy and is not harming anyone else is pretty damn weak in my opinion. And yes I have 3 tattoos and 2 of them Zelda related. I named my daughter Saria after the character in Ocarina of Time so I have her name in the Zelda font along with the eye of the shiekah symbol together. My love for my kid and Zelda will never die so I know I will have zero regrets.
@NEStalgia
Haha on second thought screw a ARMS sequel your idea is much better. I can see if now " from the company that brought you ARMS, a game where you possess arms of different sizes and speed to beat the hell out of your opponent. We now bring you BOOBS, a game where you possess boobs of different sizes and speed to beat the hell out of your opponent". Not gonna lie I would buy this game in a heart beat come on Nintendo let's make it happen haha.
ARMS is definitely one of my favorite games on Switch. I feel like the game is big enough now to where we don't need any more large updates. I really hope they make a sequel but I'm not sure if Nintendo considered ARMS a success or not. I know it has pretty good sales for a new ip but that could have been bumped up from not a lot of big first party games when it came out. I really love the Party Crash events, you can play a long session or just jump in a few quick matches and be done. All good things eventually come to an end but hopefully this is not the last we hear of ARMS.
100% agree. Amazon US deliveries have gone way downhill last 6 months or so especially with primes " 2 day shipping ". When I got Splatoon 2 I was home and received an email it had been delivered so I was all excited went out to my mail box, doorstep,in my bushes looked everywhere and nowhere to be found. Called the carrier On-Trac which are just god awful from previous experiences and they said they would send out the driver the next day to see if he could find it. That was there solution. What the hell does that mean ? Did he bury it in my yard, put it up in a tree or something. So obviously when I was told that was the solution I just went off on them and said I'd be calling back tomarrow to Amazon and their supervisor. Next day it was magically at my doorstep. My theory is that since the game was in an envelope and you could tell it was a game,the driver was probly gonna keep it but since I called right after it was delivered and they called the driver before he could open it. These drivers are not real delivery personal just regular a**holes who are thieves and or just don't care bout your items at all. Sorry for the rant everyone but this had been a problem for awhile now with a lot of online deliveries and it bugs the f out of me. It's just making me go back to regular stores now which isn't a bad thing. Unless it's UPS,Fed Ex, or USPS I just don't trust my item will arrive intact or at all even.
Not to be one of those people but it's Party Crash not Party Clash at least in the US it is. Anyhow I had a blast with the first party crash I thought the quick changing modes and arms was a lot of fun. I've said this in a previous post but I really hope Nintendo keeps having events like Party Crash or other ways to keep ARMS alive and well. I truly believe it is the most underrated game on the Switch and I don't feel it is even close. I feel I have some kind of duty to help promote this game. All my friends who have a Switch have been on the fence about this game so I've been loaning this game out left and right and it has worked out so far. This is a game I feel you really need to play to really understand the game and its mechanics.
On top of the update there is another Party Crash scheduled for next weekend which I don't believe has been mentioned yet. It runs all day Friday,Saturday and Sunday which is awesome cause I thought the first event was extremely fun and rewarding too just a bit short. The battle is Ninjara VS Min-Min this time so that should be fairly even in player selection. I think I can officially say that after BOTW and Odyssey ARMS is my favorite Game on the Switch. I've put in over 100 hours and don't see myself stopping anytime soon.
Party Clash was a blast. I've been wanting a Splatfest type event for ARMS since its release, but better late than never I suppose. I was totally addicted and any free time I had went to this, IMO it was much more fun than a Splatfest with its ever changing modes and special ARM bonuses. I got up to level 31 and received a butt load of cash for the ARMS getter so I was pretty stoked bout that. They need to hold a Party Clash once a month just like Splatfest, doing that I believe would really help keep this game fresh and appealing. I vote next party Clash should be Twintelle .vs. Min-Min I bet that would be a much closer battle than what we had. Keep up the Party Clashes!!!!!! Please don't make this a one and done event Nintendo support this great game.
I'm also one of the rare people that have never played Skyrim. I just bought Doom so I'm gonna get it for for Xmas but I can't wait I'm really looking forward to it.

Re: ARMS Version 4.1 Is Now Available
On top of the update there is another Party Crash scheduled for next weekend which I don't believe has been mentioned yet. It runs all day Friday,Saturday and Sunday which is awesome cause I thought the first event was extremely fun and rewarding too just a bit short. The battle is Ninjara VS Min-Min this time so that should be fairly even in player selection. I think I can officially say that after BOTW and Odyssey ARMS is my favorite Game on the Switch. I've put in over 100 hours and don't see myself stopping anytime soon.
Re: Spring Man Triumphs in First ARMS Party Clash
@Nomad @Nomad
Totally agree with you on that one. I can't think of a more fun and original fighting game to come out in a long time.
Re: Spring Man Triumphs in First ARMS Party Clash
Re: Review: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Switch)
I'm also one of the rare people that have never played Skyrim. I just bought Doom so I'm gonna get it for for Xmas but I can't wait I'm really looking forward to it.
