Re: Upcoming Nintendo Switch Games And Accessories For April And May 2023

Debbiee

I am looking forward to some of those especially 'Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom' but still no new Donkey Kong game on the horizon is very disappointing. I was really hoping we would get a third New Donkey Kong Country game or a 3D game similar to Donkey Kong 64 with the rumors that were going around last year. 😯

Re: UK Charts: Super Mario Odyssey Continues To Sell Well In A Quieter Week For Nintendo

Debbiee

@DwaynesGames I am not sure but I remember reading there was originally going to be a Kingdom based on Isle Delfino from Super Mario Sunshine and they have since re-released 'Super Mario Sunshine' since then in the 'Super Mario 3D All Stars' collection but I would love to see a bigger more modern version of Isle Delfino and always loved that area. I think it would be fun if they made a Mario game similar to Sonic Generations and had 2D and 3D versions of classic levels from the old games. Also a Mario Maker 3D could be fun but that might be hard for them to make.

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Gameplay Trailer Drops Tomorrow, 28th March 2023

Debbiee

Can't wait!!! I know some people are disappointed they are mostly keeping the same map for this game from 'Breathe of the Wild' but it wouldn't feel like a proper sequel to me if they didn't especially after we got to see what a lot of the areas in Hyrule looked like before they were destroyed in the prequel, 'Age of Calamity' and I am interested in seeing how different the land I spent nearly three years exploring looks like in this game along with the additional new areas. I hope they make the weapons more powerful and last longer this time and they leave Lynels out of Easy mode or make them easier to beat like they were in 'Age of Calamity.' There was nothing easy about beating Lynels in 'Breath of the Wild.'😨

Re: Nintendo's Anticipated Switch Release Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Will Skip PAX East

Debbiee

@NewAdvent Yeah. They will probably hold it off and release it later in the year but with them adding Super Mario Land 2 the chances of 1 and 3 being added seem pretty high along with the Wario Land games. Dr Mario and Yoshi's Cookie might be added too. I'm glad you are enjoying Wario Land 3 and the first Wario Land game was one of my favorite games to play on the Gameboy and I am surprised they don't do more with Wario and have a Wario Land game on Switch or 3D Wario game. There were a lot of good Gameboy games that have sadly been forgotten now and it is good to see some of them being brought back on Switch for new fans to play. I hope we get Pokemon Gold, Silver or Crystal.

Re: Nintendo's Anticipated Switch Release Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Will Skip PAX East

Debbiee

@NewAdvent Yeah. You are probably right but do you think they will add Super Mario Land, Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land and Wario Land 2 now they are adding Gameboy games 'cause I would love to see those added especially the first Wario Land game and they just added Kirby's Dream Land 2 so I think there might be hope for the other Mario Land titles.

I really hope we get a new Donkey Kong game soon. It has been so long since Tropical Freeze and I thought we would have got a third New Donkey Kong Country Returns by now since they had the first one on Wii and the second on Wii U but when they had Donkey Kong's 40th anniversary they didn't release any new games for it and it is like they have killed off the franchise.

Re: Talking Point: What Will Be Announced On Pokémon Day 2023?

Debbiee

I would love to see

Pokemon Gold, Silver and Crystal remake with modern graphics similar to how Let's Go Eeevee and Let's Go Pikachu were remakes of Blue, Red and Yellow)
Pokemon Legends 2
Pokepark 3 (Pokemon Snap finally got a sequel so anything is possible)
DLC for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Re: Poll: Which Character Would You Like To See Return Next In Mario Kart 8 Deluxe?

Debbiee

As a Donkey Kong fan my vote is for the Kongs. Heck. Add all the Kongs like Lanky Kong, Tiny Kong, Chunky Kong, Cranky Kong and Wrinkly Kong. LOL A new Donkey Kong game is soo long overdue and I would love a New Donkey Kong Country Returns 3 but I think another 3D game like Donkey Kong 64 could be even better!! I would like to see Captain Toad in the DLC too and it would be fun if they could make a course based on one of the Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker levels. I am surprised with all these new courses coming and Link in the game they haven't made any courses based on Breathe of the Wild.

Re: Video: With 100 Days To Go, What Do You Want To See In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom?

Debbiee

Some things I would like to see

Returning characters like Riju, Sidon, Teba, Yunobo, Purah, Robby, Impa, Beedle and possibly Daruk, Mipha, Revali and Urbosa if the game follows on from 'Age of Calamity' and they are still alive.

Towns rebuilt similar to how they were in Age of Calamity.

New moves

Make the full map available straight away or at least all the areas that we could explore in the first game.

Weapons that last longer or don't run out. They could make it that the more powerful the weapon the longer it lasts because it is really disappointing when you find a powerful weapon and it breaks after you have only had it for a short time. How about they make it the Master Sword is available from the start since this is a sequel and we already found it in the first one and they could add more powerful weapons for you to find later in the game or ways of making the Master Sword more powerful.

Boots that make it you can keep climbing when it is raining along with armour that protects you from lightning. I know I am not the only that hates storms in 'Breath of the Wild' especially when I am trying to climb things and I could say no rain at all but I think they will keep it in the game.

Underwater areas that can be explored. I saw an article a couple of years ago that said there were originally underwater areas in the game that could be explored and it showed some pictures of them but they never made it into the game. There was also an underwater Divine Beast that was meant to be on one of the beaches in the early designs that could have been fun to see. They should also make it Link can breathe under water.

Zelda as a playable character and possibly Riju, Sidon, Teba and Yunobo too.

Make it so Lynels and Silver enemies are easier to defeat in easy mode. It is ridiculous how hard it is to kill a Lynel in Easy mode and I remember hitting one with something like 100 Bomb Arrows one time and they had hardly any effect on it. It was also easier for me to defeat all the monsters in the Divine Beasts and Calamity Ganon than beating a Lynel. I like how they made Lynels in 'Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.' They were still hard but they weren't ridiculously hard and take dozens and dozens and DOZENS of hits from your swords to kill one. 10-12 hits from a Master or Royal Sword seems far more fair to kill a Lynel. Same with Silver Bokoblins. 5-6 hits. Why do we have to destroy all our weapons just to beat one Silver Bokoblin? I now take them out with Ancient Arrows if they came after me 'cause they are not worth it. Easy mode should be easy. Give the people that want a challenge the harder enemies.

More things to find like Korok seeds. As somebody that likes to explore games I actually enjoyed finding the Korok Seeds and the locations for Link's memories even though it took me over 3 years to find them and I would to see more similar things to that.

Re: Feature: Nintendo Life's Most Anticipated Games For 2023 (That Aren't Zelda)

Debbiee

@Bolt_Strike Yeah. Sadly I don't think most of the games I listed in my 'Hoping For' list will happen especially a new Rayman game or collection now that the creator has left the company and Banjo Kazooie has been dead since 'Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts' which is unfair since it was nothing like the first 2 games that many fans loved and was kinda like Nintendo saying they would stop making all Mario games just because a 'Mario Kart' or 'Mario Tennis' game flopped. I believe if they had made a proper 'Banjo Threeiee like the first two games it would have been more successful because most fans I know were very disappointed over 'Nuts & Bolts.' I don't understand why Nintendo seem to have killed off the Donkey Kong games though when it has been one of their most popular franchises over the years and they did little to nothing for the 40th anniversary with not even the slightest hint of a new game on the way. I have heard rumours there is one in development now but nothing official from Nintendo. Hopefully that changes.

I am surprised we haven't got a third New Mario Bros game already since we got new 2D games on Wii and Wii U and Mario is Nintendo's biggest selling franchise. I thought that would have been the new Mario game to come after Super Mario Odyssey. I have hope for sequels to the Pokemon 'Let's Go' games in the future because Tsunekazu Ishihara said in an interview last year there is a good chance they could get sequels and we finally got a new Pokemon Snap game over 20 years later so I think anything is possible with Pokemon. 😄

Re: Feature: Nintendo Life's Most Anticipated Games For 2023 (That Aren't Zelda)

Debbiee

Apart from 'Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom' I am going to say

Kirby Return To Dream Land Deluxe
Atelier Ryza 3
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Yooka Laylee 2 (Not sure what the full title will be but it was confirmed to be in development earlier this year and is going to be the second 3D game in the franchise)
New WWE game

Hoping for

New Donkey Kong Country or 3D Donkey Kong game
New Super Mario Bros Switch
New Rayman game or Rayman collection similar to the ones of Spyro the Dragon and Crash Bandicoot
New Spyro the Dragon game
Immortals Fenyx Rising 2 (A sequel has been rumoured for a while now but I don't think anything is official yet)
Captain Toad Treasure Tracker 2 (Seems unlikely but I loved the first game and would like a sequel)
Banjo Kazooie 3 (Still hoping for this)
Sequels to 'Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee' that are remakes of Pokemon: Gold and Silver
PokePark 3
Super Mario Galaxy 2 Port for Switch
New Wario Land game or Remakes of the old games
New Simpsons Open World game or sequel to Hit & Run
Sequel to Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom

Re: Best Nintendo Switch 3D Platformers

Debbiee

If only we could get a Rayman trilogy similar to the Spyro the Dragon and Crash Bandicoot trilogies. Rayman 2: The Great Escape is one of my all time favourite 3D Platformer games and deserves to be re-released imo so younger gamers can have a chance at playing it too without having to get an old console to play it and it is disappointing Ubisoft don't make Rayman games anymore.

Re: Best Nintendo Switch 3D Platformers

Debbiee

What about Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild', 'Pokemon Legends: Arceus', 'Ary and the Secret of Seasons' and 'Immortals Fenyx Rising?' Are those not 3D Platformer games? I might be in the minority here but I actually enjoyed 'Yooka Laylee' despite its faults and I am glad they are making a second 3D game because if they listen to some of the criticisms about the first one and make improvements it could be even better this time and I loved Captain Toad and wish they would make a sequel to that too.

Re: Site News: So, Where's Our Sonic Frontiers Review?

Debbiee

That's okay. I will be on the look out for it when it finally comes out but one question I have is does anybody know if we can play as Tails, Knuckles and Amy in this game? I would love to be able to play as Tails in an open world type of game like this with his flying ability.

Re: Sega Wants To Know What Mini Console Fans Would Like To See Next

Debbiee

Sega Master System or a collection of the Master System games similar to the collection of Sega Mega Drive with the Alex Kidd and Wonder Boy games along with Dynamite Dux, Teddy Boy, Psycho Fox. Phantasy Star, Paper Boy, Asterix, Land Of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse, Ariel Assault, Bubble Bobble, Fantasy Zone, Penguin Land and The Simpsons: Bart vs the Space Mutants to name a few.

I am surprised Dynamite Dux has never been re-released or gotten any sequels since we still see the character in some of the Sonic games.

Re: Random: Modders Recreate Super Mario Sunshine Stage From Space World 2001

Debbiee

Oh wow. As somebody that loves Super Mario Sunshine I had no idea this even existed. Thank you for posting. I am happy we got Super Mario Sunshine on Switch after waiting years for it to be re-released and it is unlikely we will ever get a 'Super Mario Sunshine 2' but I would love it if they brought Isle Delfino back for a new game.

Re: Poll: Do You Actually Want Switch Ports Of Wind Waker And Twilight Princess?

Debbiee

I would rather have a sequel to 'Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity' set in the changed timeline that features a lot of the areas from 'Breath of the Wild' that were missing in the first game like the beach area which was strangely absent from 'Age of Calamity' despite having guardians on it in 'Breath of the Wild.'

Also what happened to the port of 'Super Mario Galaxy 2?' It was believed they were going to have one for Switch since it was missing from the 'Super Mario 3D All Stars' collection.

Re: Ubisoft Will Now Close Online Services For Three Wii U Titles In October

Debbiee

@rockodoodle Thanks. I didn't know about them but I will have a look into them. It is surprising a franchise like this has just been abandoned 'cause I thought Rayman was popular enough to keep getting a game out every now and then but it looks like Ubisoft has no faith in it which is sad. Then again, I am still wondering what is going on with Donkey Kong and why we haven't gotten a new game since 2014. I always thought Donkey Kong was one of Nintendo's main franchises and surely if we can keep getting Kirby games we should be able to have more Donkey Kong.

Re: Game Journalist Doubles Down On Zelda News At Upcoming Nintendo Direct

Debbiee

How about remakes of the Super Mario Land trilogy and Wario Land 2 with modern graphics? Those would be fun to play on Nintendo Switch and being older would benefit from a remake even more like Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap did.

Also, at the risk of sounding like a broken record I really hope they make an announcement about a new Donkey Kong game. A 2D or 3D game after this long would be awesome and it was very disappointing we got nothing for the 40th anniversary while Mario and Legend of Zelda were celebrated.

Re: Ubisoft Will Now Close Online Services For Three Wii U Titles In October

Debbiee

It is sad to think Rayman Legends might be the last Rayman game we will ever get now the creator has left the company and Ubisoft appear to have no plans to use Rayman again. I would love a third game in the same vein as Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends or a new 3D game and know a lot of other fans that do too but it looks like they only see money in making more Rabbids games.

Re: Rumour: It's Not Even September And Nintendo Direct Rumours Have Already Started

Debbiee

Top 10 things I would love to see

1) A New Donkey Kong Country (2D or 3D like Donkey Kong 64.)
2) New Super Mario Bros Switch (Sequel to New Super Mario Bros and New Super Mario Bros U)
3) The full reveal of all the new Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
4) More news and game footage of 'Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2.'
5) Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker 2
6) Sonic Heroes for Switch (I don't get why this one hasn't been re-released. Even the 2006 game has been re-released and fans hated that one but I know a lot of people that liked this one.)
7) Super Mario Galaxy 2 for Switch
8) Yoshi's Woolly World for Switch
9) Yooka Laylee 2 for Switch (This one was announced to be in the works a few months back but I don't know if it is going to be on Nintendo Switch.
10) Mario Land Trilogy Remastered (Including Wario Land) re-released on Nintendo Switch (Unlikely to ever happen but one can dream)

I would have said Mario Kart 9 too but they are still releasing more tracks for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe so it seems unlikely to be announced anytime soon.

Re: Nintendo And Mattel Appear To Be Releasing A Mario Movie UNO Set

Debbiee

@Sonos Not always. I liked the 3 'Spider-Man' video games that were based on the Tobey Maguire movies and had Tobey doing the voice and Bruce Campbell as the guide and 'The Amazing Spider-Man' video game was fun along with 'The Simpsons (2007)' and 'Goldeneye' has a reputation for being a very popular game but I am not a fan of first person shooter games.

Re: Sonic Frontiers Switch File Size Seemingly Revealed

Debbiee

@Gamergirl94 The problem is even if it is the greatest 3D Sonic game ever made I feel there is going to be a portion of the Sonic fanbase that are going to hate on it for not being a 2D game and will want it to flop for the fun of it which is why I have always given every Sonic game a fair go and not judged it on what I have seen written about it on the internet. I am hoping it is good and am not expecting it to be the greatest Sonic game ever made - just a fun Sonic game I can enjoy.

Re: Round Up: All The Nintendo Switch Titles From The Future Games Show 2022

Debbiee

Still no news about a new Donkey Kong game. Last year was Donkey Kong's 40th anniversary and Nintendo done nothing for it and barely even acknowledged it and it was 8 years ago 'Tropical Freeze' came out and we haven't had a single new game on Switch. As a Donkey Kong fan I am sad to see they have killed the franchise off.😯

Re: Talking Point: What Was Your First Legend Of Zelda Game?

Debbiee

It is funny 'cause I played a few of the older 'Legend of Zelda' games like 'A Link to the Past', 'Ocarina In Time' and 'Wind Waker' and thought they were okay but I was never a big fan of the series and always liked the Mario, Kirby, Pokemon, Donkey Kong Country. Banjo Kazooie and Metroid games on Nintendo more but then I got 'Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' on Switch and it become one of my favorite games of all time and I have been playing the game on and off for the past four years and nearly completed all the side missions and explored everything there is to explore but I haven't finished it 'cause I heard if you do you lose all your progress and it goes back to the beginning and I am not sure if I want to do that. 😄 It took me three years just to get the courage to finally kill a Lynel without using an Ancient Arrow. I have watched the ending on You Tube so I know how it ends and I finished 'Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity' though and loved that and think I will just move on to the sequel and not finish it so I can go back to it every now and then.
