Re: Nintendo Infographic Showcases The Games Featured In June's Direct

Debbiee

@rjejr TBH, I am hoping they don't make a Tears of the Kingdom port for Switch 2 or whatever they call the next console unless we get backwards compatibility too 'cause I don't want to have to buy the game again just to play it on the new console like we did with a lot of the Nintendo Wii U games on Switch especially when it is this new.

Re: Nintendo Infographic Showcases The Games Featured In June's Direct

Debbiee

@samuelvictor Yes. We do. lol I generally love Adventure/ Platformer games whether they are 2D or 3D and Donkey Kong, Kirby, Banjo Kazooie, Spyro the Dragon, Crash Bandicoot, Rayman, Shantae, Wonderboy, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Alex Kidd, Yooka Laylee, A Hat In Time, New Super Lucky's Tale, Ary and the Secret of Seasons, Kao the Kangaroo, Commander Keen and Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure are some others I have liked and I am hoping we get a new 'Donkey Kong' game in the near future 'cause it has been almost a decade since 'Tropical Freeze' came out and we usually get a new 'Donkey Kong' game for every Nintendo console.

'Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker' was very underrated and I lost count of how many times I played that game and could play the levels over and over without getting bored. I was glad we got some new levels for it as DLC in the Switch release but I was hoping for a full length sequel. I read it was made by the same team that made 'Super Mario Odyssey' and they are working on a sequel to that now so maybe after 'Odyssey 2' comes out we might get a sequel to 'Treasure Tracker.' I felt the same way about 'Pokemon Snap' and didn't think we would ever get a sequel to it after how many years went by since the first one but I think they realized there was an audience that wanted a sequel and decided to finally make one. I am personally hoping we get a sequel to the 'Let's Go Pikachu' and Let's Go Eevee' games next or a 3D remake of Gold/ Silver/ Crystal with the Johto region.

Thanks for letting me know about the upcoming 'Peach' game and it sounds like it is going to be a fun and unique game and I am glad they are giving Peach another chance to have her own game 'cause they have had quite a few Luigi and Yoshi games over the years but only one Peach game. 😀

Re: Nintendo Infographic Showcases The Games Featured In June's Direct

Debbiee

@samuelvictor Those are the games I am looking forward to the most too and apart from Pokemon Mario and Sonic are my fav video game franchises and I like to get all the games including the spinoffs like Luigi's Mansion, Captain Toad, Yoshi's Woolly and Crafted Worlds, Mario Karts, Mario Golf, Mario Tennis etc etc (lol) and I will definitely be getting the new Peach game and I am curious if it will be 2D or 3D. It sadly isn't looking very likely to happen in the near future but I would love it if they made a 'Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker 2.' The first one is one of my favourite games of the past decade and it is hard to believe it was nearly a decade ago it came out. We got a sequel to 'Pokemon Snap' 21 years later so I think anything is possible. 😀

Re: The FTC Doesn't Seem To Think Switch Is A Serious PlayStation & Xbox Competitor

Debbiee

I have bought X Boxes and Playstations over the years and currently have an X Box Series X but I hardly played them or bought as many games for them as I have bought for Nintendo Consoles because with a few exceptions most games on X Box and Playstations are violent games with blood and guts while Nintendo have far more fun, bright and cute games that people of all ages can enjoy and I love playing a lot of the game franchises I grew up with now with my Nieces and Nephew and my Nieces are Pokemon fans like me. 😀

Re: Sonic Superstars' Release Date Might Have Already Been Revealed

Debbiee

@Moonvalley That's your opinion. Sonic Frontiers was a success and is getting a sequel and there are a lot of us Sonic fans that have liked a number of the games which is why they keep making them. Personally I liked Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, 3, Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic CD, Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Unleashed, Sonic Colors, Sonic Generations, Sonic the Hedgehog 4, Sonic Mania, Sonic Frontiers and the Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing games and still enjoy playing the old games every now and then.

Re: Sonic Superstars' Release Date Might Have Already Been Revealed

Debbiee

I will definitely be getting both and I am excited to be getting two new 2D Mario and Sonic games at the same time and it feels like the 90s with both series having new 2D games out except they are on the same console this time which means you no longer need to have 2 different consoles to play them. That was always the downside of being fans of both in the 90s and I am glad Sonic is now on Nintendo.

Re: Feature: 20 Things You Might Have Missed In The Super Mario Bros. Wonder Reveal

Debbiee

@samuelvictor Those are some interesting questions. I am not sure but the two reasons I can think of why they called it 'Super Mario Bros Wonder' instead of 'Super Mario Wonder' is 'cause we can play as multiple characters and not just Mario or they want to separate the 2D and 3D games now by having the 'Super Mario Bros' name on the 2D games. As for Yoshi I think it would be hilarious if they had them ride Mario for a change after all the years Mario has had on top. 😄

Re: Where To Pre-Order Super Mario RPG On Switch

Debbiee

I am looking forward to getting it but I am curious why this gets a remake and not the classic main games like Super Mario Bros 1, 2 and 3 and Super Mario World. If they remade some of the Gameboy games too like Super Mario Land 1, 2 and 3 they would look incredibly different with modern graphics and get a lot of first time players who never played them before.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of Today's Nintendo Direct?

Debbiee

@sleepinglion Honestly, as somebody that still enjoys playing older games the graphics for 'Super Mario World: Wonder' don't bother me much and I liked the 'New Super Mario Bros' games so if it is as good as them I will most likely love this game. I feel there is too much focus on graphics these days and not enough on gameplay.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of Today's Nintendo Direct?

Debbiee

WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

I am very excited about the news today and can't wait to play 'Super Mario Bros. Wonder', 'Detective Pikachu Returns', 'Sonic Superstars', the untitled 'Peach' game, 'Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon (Remastered), 'Super Mario RPG (Remastered)', 'Wario Ware: Move it!' and 'Penny's Big Breakaway' along with the DLC for 'Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.'

I was pretty disappointed with the lineup for Switch this year but it is looking heaps better now with all these new games on the horizon. It is good to see the 'Arkham' games coming to Switch too and as somebody who played them multiple times over the years I would highly recommend them to Batman fans that have never played the games because they are the best Batman games ever made but it is disappointing they didn't include a remastered 'Arkham Origins' on it too.

Re: Nintendo Direct Showcase Confirmed For Tomorrow, 21st June

Debbiee

@RareFan I don't understand why it is not, to be honest. It is like somebody working at Nintendo didn't like it and decided to push it off to the side. Donkey Kong has been one of their biggest video game franchises since the 80s and without Donkey Kong there would be no Mario or Legend of Zelda games since Mario Spun off Donkey Kong and the creator of Donkey Kong created Legend of Zelda but for some reason all the other franchises including lesser known ones got new games for Switch but Donkey Kong was forgotten.

Donkey Kong deserves a new game and there are many Donkey Kong fans that have been waiting for one.

Re: Nintendo Direct Showcase Confirmed For Tomorrow, 21st June

Debbiee

@Mauzuri Yeah. It sadly doesn't look like they do.😯They done stuff all for Donkey Kong's 40th anniversary and we haven't had a new game for almost a decade but there were reports on a few game sites last year there was a new Donkey Kong game being developed by the same team that made Super Mario Odyssey and I am hoping they are true.

Donkey Kong deserves better and there is so much they could do with a new 2D or 3D game.

Re: Poll: Are You Still Playing Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom?

Debbiee

Moved on for now. I might go back to it one day in the future if they add an easy mode or bring some things back from 'Breath of the Wild' as DLC but it is too hard compared to 'Breath of the Wild' and with the lack of remote bombs and elemental arrows I was constantly running out of weapons which was annoying. I am currently replaying 'Immortals Fenyx Rising' which is similar to 'Breath of the Wild' and 'Tears of the Kingdom' but the enemies are a lot easier even in the hard areas.

I am looking forward to getting 'Asterigos: Curse of the Stars Deluxe Edition' in August. 😀

Re: Shadow The Hedgehog Won't Be In Sonic Superstars, Unsurprisingly

Debbiee

@JohnnyMind Yeah. I loved those games too and wish they would re-release 'Sonic Heroes' 'cause it seems nearly all the other 3D Sonic games have been re-released in some shape or form such as Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Generations which I have got on X Box 360, X Box One and X Box Series X while Sonic Heroes has been left forgotten by Sega despite a lot of fans considering it one of the best 3D Sonic games. I am hoping Amy is here to stay too and we are going to get her as a playable character through the DLC in 'Sonic Frontiers' soon and 'Sonic Frontiers 2' might have her in it too. With DLC in these games it could give a lot of characters a chance to be playable for the first time.

Re: Shadow The Hedgehog Won't Be In Sonic Superstars, Unsurprisingly

Debbiee

@JohnnyMind I would love a game where we got to play as Cream, Vector, Charmy Bee, Rouge, Blaze, Espio, Big, Silver etc. There are so many good Sonic characters but a lot of them never get a chance in the spotlight and it is mostly only Sonic, Tails, Amy and Knuckles that are the playable characters.

Re: Shadow The Hedgehog Won't Be In Sonic Superstars, Unsurprisingly

Debbiee

@Serpenterror Isn't Bean technically a part of the Classic Era since he was the main star of Dynamite Dux which was on Sega Master System? I remember that being one of the first video games I played along with Alex Kidd in Miracle World and Wonder Boy and with Alex Kidd and Wonder Boy making a comeback with new games in the last few years I would love a new Dynamite Dux game and was surprised it didn't get a sequel.

Re: Mario Movie Producer Denies Legend Of Zelda Film Rumours

Debbiee

'Metroid' should be next imo. There are a lot of famous Actors that have said they want to play Samus and have been pushing for a Metroid movie and I think it could be a Horror franchise with multiple sequels but they need to make it like the 'Alien' and 'Predator' movies 'cause it is not going to work if they tone it down and try and aim it towards children and it should be in live action.

Re: Koa And The Five Pirates Of Mara Is A Cute, Summery Take On Mario 3D World

Debbiee

Can't wait!!! Very excited about this game. I love 3D Platform games and it is great to see the genre has made a comeback in recent years and it has been confirmed there is a second 'Yooka Laylee' 3D game in development which I think could be even better than the first one now they know what fans liked and didn't like about the first one but I am still hoping one day we will get another Banjo Kazooie or Donkey Kong 3D game like Donkey Kong 64.

Re: Mailbox: Welcome To The Nintendo Life Letters Page!

Debbiee

@Sisilly_G I didn't say 'Tears of the Kingdom' was $99. I said 'Breath of the Wild' was $99 and I was surprised 'Tears of the Kingdom' was cheaper than 'Breath of the Wild' but as it stands now 'Breath of the Wild' is still $79.99 at JBHIFI at regular price despite being an old game and 'Pokemon Scarlett and Violet' are down to $65 at regular price now. Nothing is cheap here in Australia and is one of the reasons I often order things online from overseas stores because they always end up being cheaper even with the postage being higher than it used to be. I remember when we first joined Amazon in 2007 I couldn't believe how cheap everything was compared to here and we used to have to spend $29.95 at most record stores to get albums including old ones and Amazon had a lot of them for under $10.

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Wish You Knew Sooner In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom?

Debbiee

@Dragnoran There is a Gleeok on the Bridge of Hylia which is a really inconvenient place to put it since I used to go over that bridge often in 'Breath of the Wild' and if you can manage to defeat it the creature respawns again when the Blood Red Moon comes which makes it feel like a waste of time. With Bombs I heard most Bomb Flowers are underground which is also where I hear all the hardest monsters are. I miss the remote bombs personally. They were the one weapon we could always count on to have that didn't run out and I am always running out of arrows in 'Tears of the Kingdom' compared to 'Breath of the Wild' because I used to use the remote bombs the most to take out easy enemies and not having elemental arrows contributes to it too.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Duel - Donkey Kong Country (SNES)

Debbiee

A new Donkey Kong game is long overdue and it was almost a decade ago we got 'Tropical Freeze' and us Donkey Kong fans have had to wait a long time. Whether it is another 2D game like 'New Donkey Kong Country Returns' and 'Tropical Freeze' or 3D like 'Donkey Kong 64' the Nintendo Switch should have a new Donkey Kong game and every Nintendo Console has had one since the Nes. I was extremely disappointed with the lack of stuff they done for Donkey Kong's 40th anniversary.

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Wish You Knew Sooner In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom?

Debbiee

@Gryffin Yeah. I don't hate it and might give it another go in the future but it is very different than 'Breath of the Wild' and feels like it is aimed more towards advanced gamers and I watched a few videos on You Tube of the things that happen towards the end of the game and that looks WAY too hard for me. I loved 'Breath of the Wild' and spent over three years playing it before I defeated it and one of the main things I liked about that game was the exploring aspect along with collecting items, weapons and Korok Seeds and doing the Shrines and I used to get lost in the exploring part 'cause there was so much to find in the game but I feel like you can't really enjoy that in this game as much since you have to worry about some scary creature killing you everywhere you go and I have ran into Lynels, Gleeoks and Malice hands and had to run away from them and within the first few days of playing the game I was walking around the bushes collecting things like I did in 'Breath of the Wild' and a tree come to life and came after me and when I finally burned it to death another two trees sprung to life too and were coming after me for revenge and I ran away from them (lol) and I have learned how to deal with them now but I am not sure if I could ever take on a Gleeok or the Malice Hands 'cause it took me ages to kill a Lynel in 'Breath of the Wild' and we had Ancient Arrows that could take care of them easily in that game but it doesn't look like they are in this game.

I would pay for DLC if they had an Easy mode with less enemies like Breath of the Wild.

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Wish You Knew Sooner In Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom?

Debbiee

I would say how hard 'Tears of the Kingdom' is compared to 'Breath of the Wild' before it come out because I wouldn't have been as excited as I was for it if I knew that beforehand and probably would have held off on buying it. It is like 'Breath of the Wild' on Hard Mode super packed with monsters and I would prefer the guardians back over the Gleeoks and Malice Hands.😨 I found 'Age of Calamity' along with some of the games they called Breath of the Wild clones like Immortals: Fenyx Rising, Genshin Impact, Horizon Zero Dawn, Sonic Frontiers, Ary and the Secret of Seasons and Windbound to be more enjoyable 'cause they were a lot easier.

Re: Disney Dreamlight Valley Gets A New Update, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

Debbiee

You're welcome. With the 'Toy Story' games there were a few out which is why I'm hoping for a collection and there was 'Toy Story', 'Toy Story 2', 'Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue', 'Toy Story 3', 'Toy Story Mania' and 'Toy Story Racer.' Sadly they didn't bring out a video game for 'Toy Story 4' 'cause it was after they stopped making games for every movie. I think 'Frozen', 'Zootopia' and 'Moana' could have been great as video games and would have loved to have played as characters in levels based on locations in the movies but it seems with video games based on movies and TV Shows the bad adaptations spoiled it for the good ones. With what they can do with video games now I would love an Open World Simpsons game too where you get to play in Springfield and the other surrounding towns but we haven't had a new 'Simpsons' console game since 2007.

Re: Disney Dreamlight Valley Gets A New Update, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

Debbiee

@Jhena Yeah. The Disney Classic games were great and I had those two games on Super Nintendo too and loved playing them and did you know they re-released them in a Disney Classics Collection a few years ago with 'The Jungle Book?' I am hoping they re-release the 'Toy Story' games in a collection too.

Re: Soapbox: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom's Busier Hyrule Is Making Me Miss BOTW

Debbiee

Yeah. That's exactly one of the reasons I liked 'Breath of the Wild' more than 'Tears of the Kingdom. There was an enjoyable fun and laid back feel to 'Breath of the Wild' that is missing in 'Tears of the Kingdom' and' having too much going on in this game especially new difficult enemies around like Gleeoks and Malice Hands and not having Ancient Arrows to take out Lynels and other powerful villains turns me off playing it because it feels like it is more geared towards advanced gamers and alienates casual gamers. I was looking forward to 'Tears of the Kingdom' and really liked 'Breath of the Wild.' I spent over three years playing that game before I defeated it and one of the things I liked the most about it was exploring. I loved exploring all the different areas in Hyrule and collecting items, weapons and Korok Seeds and doing the Shrines and getting lost in that but I feel you can't really enjoy that in this game since you have to worry about some scary creature killing you everywhere you go and after making it to the ground I was peacefully walking around collecting things in the bushes and a tree sprung to life and tried to kill me and when I finally burned it to death two other trees came to life too and were coming after me for revenge and since then I have come across Malice Hands and Gleeoks and had to teleport away from them. Then I see underground and that doesn't look like a fun place to explore and is terrifying. 😨

I think they made 'Tears of the Kingdom' way too hard compared to 'Breath of the Wild' and it should have an Easy Mode with less enemies like 'Breath of the Wild' had or make them easier to beat. I don't mind a lot of the other new enemies like the flying green dragons, the Like Likes, Constructs, Boss Bokoblins, Bubbulfrogs and Froxes that look like a mix between a Hinox and Talus but there are way too many of them that it feels like I am playing on Hard mode and I would rather have the Guardians back over the Gleeoks and Malice Hands.

Also they ruined The Great Fairy Mountain. I liked going there in 'Breath of the Wild' and it was one of the places I was looking forward to visiting again and they ruined it with one of their big chasms. 😯

Re: The Mario Movie Physical Release Is Already Available (North America)

Debbiee

Looking forward to getting it when they release it here in Australia. It will be interesting to see if the next Mario game is based on the movie because with the success of the movie it would be a great time to release a new Super Mario Bros game. It is looking like a pretty dull year for Nintendo at the moment with no new Mario, Donkey Kong, Pokemon or Kirby games confirmed yet. I am looking forward to 'Asterigos: Curse of the Stars: Deluxe', 'Koa and the Five Pirates of Mara', 'Elements' and 'Mika and the Witch's Mountain' though.

Re: Disney Dreamlight Valley Gets A New Update Today, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

Debbiee

I wish we still got the games based on the movies and TV Shows like we used to get. Even though there were a lot of duds there were some good ones I really liked and I would have loved proper video games of Frozen, Zootopia and Moana similar to the ones they made for The Lion King, Aladdin, Toy Story, Brave and The Little Mermaid. 'Ary and the Secret of Seasons' felt like a Disney video game.

Re: Sonic Origins Plus Physical Listing Says New Content Is "Downloadable Via Included Code"

Debbiee

Very disappointing. I am still hoping we get a 3D collection though with Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Generations. I would give anything to have Sonic Heroes on a new console. Every other 3D game including Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) which is literally the least popular Sonic game in history has gotten re-releases while 'Sonic Heroes' which is a game a lot of my friends liked has still yet to have one.

Re: Round Up: SGDQ 2023 - The Best Nintendo Speedruns

Debbiee

Now that is what we need. A new Banjo Kazooie game or a trilogy like they done with Spyro the Dragon and Crash Bandicoot with Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie and Grunty's Revenge. With 3D Platformers making a comeback in recent years now would be the right time for a new one. 😀

Re: Poll: Will There Be A June 2023 Nintendo Direct?

Debbiee

@mariomaster96 It would be very odd not to make a new Donkey Kong game for Switch before moving to Switch 2 after every other Nintendo console has had one. It is one of their longest running franchises and Donkey Kong was just in the new Super Mario Bros movie and there has been talk of a Donkey Kong animated spinoff movie but they done nothing for Donkey Kong's 40th anniversary and the games seems to have been tossed to the side and forgotten about while every other franchise and its dogs get multiple new sequels on the Switch. I mean Zelda Fans complained about the wait between Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom but that is nothing compared to the wait us Kong fans have had to wait for one new game on Switch.
