Re: Poll: Will There Be A June 2023 Nintendo Direct?

Debbiee

Hopefully so. I would love to finally get an update about the next Donkey Kong game. It was nearly a decade ago 'Tropical Freeze' came out and there has been rumours for a while a new game is in development. Also new 2D Super Mario Bros game to go with the movie. Now is the perfect time for them to cash in with that.

Re: Nintendo Says The Next Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC Wave Is Coming "Soon"

Debbiee

@Paddle1 Yeah. I doubt we will get a new Mario Kart game on Switch now with all the DLC they have released but they might release it again as some type of ultimate edition with all the DLC included like the Arkham series did with their 'Game of the Year' editions that had all the DLC included with them. I am honestly surprised they have released this much DLC though when this could have easily been Mario Kart 9.

I am still hoping for a new 2D Super Mario Bros game on Switch though and going on some of the rumours I have heard and the success of the new movie I could see it happening.

Re: Talking Point: Could Nintendo Squeeze Another Zelda Game Out Of TOTK's Open World?

Debbiee

@graviton I am actually surprised this game doesn't have underwater exploration in it over underground and sky islands since it was confirmed 'Breath of the Wild' was originally going to have underwater exploration and there were images released of underwater areas that were going to be more and it was also revealed there was going to be Divine Beasts that looked like a crab and jellyfish and one would have been situated on the beach area. If they were to use the same map again I would like to see them bring that to life and use the other Divine Beasts that didn't make it into 'Breath of the Wild.'

Re: UK Charts: Guess What, Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Is Number One Again

Debbiee

With the success of the Super Mario Bros movie and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe still charting so high they should really strike while the iron is hot and release a New Super Mario Bros Switch game before they move onto the next console because a lot of fans want a new Mario game now.

As much as I like Switch the lack of new Donkey Kong and 2D Super Mario Bros games make it one of the most disappointing Nintendo Consoles to me.

Re: Struggling To Build Cool Stuff In Zelda: TOTK? This Fan-Made Site Can Help

Debbiee

@vanYth Yes. I have figured out how to use these wheels but it did take a while since I had them upside down and then I had one attached the wrong way πŸ˜„ but it is these wheels in the second link I am having trouble getting to work and I have found quite a few of them in Hyrule with boards and I have made a few things with them they won't move and I used the fans you can see in the third link on the back of them and they just blow and don't make them move either.

Re: Best Zelda Games Of All Time

Debbiee

Great list but I would personally rank 'Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity' a lot higher. Awesome game and I loved being able to play as Zelda (fully powered), Mipha, Revali and Impa and being able to see what parts of Hyrule looked like before they were destroyed.

I would love a sequel set in the changed timeline with the champions still alive or another 'Hyrule Warriors' game that connects onto 'Tears of the Kingdom' in a similar way.

Re: Struggling To Build Cool Stuff In Zelda: TOTK? This Fan-Made Site Can Help

Debbiee

I have made a lot of things with wheels so far but for some unknown reason I can't get them to move and I tried putting them on a hill thinking they would naturally roll down it but they just sit still and don't do anything. It is strange because I had things moving when I was on the Great Sky Island but since I got down to the surface I can't do it anymore.

Re: Expect More Open-World Zelda Games Going Forwards, Suggests Eiji Aonuma

Debbiee

@pennylessz Thanks. Yeah. I wouldn't mind a 3D 'Shantae' game but I am not sure if it will ever happen since 3D Platformers aren't as common as other games and are probably more expensive to make than 2D games but they have been making a comeback in recent years with games like 'A Hat In Time', New 'Super Lucky's Tale'. 'Yooka Laylee', 'Psychonauts 2', 'Clive β€˜N' Wrench', 'Kirby and the Forgotten Land', 'Koa And The Five Pirates of Mara', 'Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake', 'Kao the Kangaroo', ' Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart' and 'Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time' and there is a new 3D 'Yooka Laylee' game in development which I think could end up being even better than the first one.

I still have hope we will one day get a new 'Banjo Kazooie' game and looking at all the other games that have been making comebacks I think it deserves a second chance.

Re: Expect More Open-World Zelda Games Going Forwards, Suggests Eiji Aonuma

Debbiee

@pennylessz Wonder Boy/ Monster Boy, Alex Kidd, Commander Keen, Animal Crossing, Bubble Bobble, Yoshi, Lemmings, Shantae, Skunny, WWE, Captain Toad, Worms, Story of Seasons, Mega Man, Hugo, Hocus Pocus and Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse are some I would keep the same and I was never a fan of the 3D Metroid games 'cause they feel more like Doom and Wolfeinsten to me than Metroid and I prefer 2D Metroid games.

Re: Soapbox: If Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Isn’t Switch’s Swan Song, It Really Should Be

Debbiee

No. As much as I am enjoying the game so far I don't think it should be the final game on Switch. It is time for a new Donkey Kong game first. Us Donkey Kong fans have been patiently waiting for close to a decade now for a new Donkey Kong game while every other franchise and its dogs have gotten new games and the last one was Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze that came out way back in 2014 on Wii U. Donkey Kong is one of the longest running and most popular franchises Nintendo has and it deserves to have a new game out on Switch.

Another 2D Mario game (New Super Mario Bros Switch) should happen too since we got New Super Mario Bros on Wii and New Super Mario Bros U on the Wii U and there have been reports a new 2D Mario game is in the works.

Re: UK Charts: Mario Kart And Odyssey Keeps Nintendo In The Top Ten

Debbiee

@GrailUK Hopefully a new Donkey Kong game. It has been 9 long years since 'New Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze' came out and I would love a third 'New Donkey Kong Country' game or another 3D game similar to 'Donkey Kong 64.' There have been rumours about a new game being in development for a while but it has yet to be officially confirmed. I am hoping we get a 'New Super Mario Bros 3/ Switch' too , 'Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker 2' and a remake of 'Pokemon Gold/Silver/ Crystal.' πŸ˜€

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Nintendo Treehouse Livestream Announced

Debbiee

Yeah. I think you are right with that and I don't think they will make it too hard or they would lose a lot of players but at the same time they don't want to make it too easy either and it is best to have a balance. As it was I found 'Breath of the Wild' wasn't that hard once I had played it a few times and I beat all the monsters inside the Divine Beasts and found them to be easier than I thought they would be. I was afraid of even going near the Divine Beasts at first because of the size of them and I was worried the one in the Gerudo Desert that looked like an elephant would step on me πŸ˜„ but when I heard you go inside the Divine Beasts I was no longer afraid of them.

I also defeated Calamity Ganon and a lot of Hinoxes, Moldugas, Guardians, Stone Taluses, Master Kohga, Yinga Clan members and the other monsters of different colours but I was always scared of Lynels and found them to be best to avoid or just shoot with the Ancient Arrows. I liked the exploring aspect of Breath of the Wild, collecting things, finding the Korok seeds and playing the Shrines and it took me close to three years to beat the game and i am hoping to do more of that in 'Tears of the Kingdom' and I am looking forward to seeing how much Hyrule has changed since 'Breath of the Wild' and seeing all the new areas in the sky and underground.

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Nintendo Treehouse Livestream Announced

Debbiee

@BenAV Yeah. I heard some people on Insta and Twitter had the whole ending of the game spoiled for them just looking at their feeds and searching for Tears of the Kingdom and were pretty annoyed over it. It is surprising to see games like this get leaked these days and I never thought we would have people able to play full games weeks before they were released.

I am glad I have managed to avoid seeing most of it though and we are very close to the official release date now so we don't have long to wait. πŸ˜€

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Nintendo Treehouse Livestream Announced

Debbiee

My only concern for this game is they make it too difficult and have Hyrule chockablock full of Lynels and the three headed dragon we saw in the trailer and it is not fun and takes away from the exploring aspect of 'Breath of the Wild.' It is one of the reasons why I think they should have an Easy, Regular and Hard mode like a lot of other games have where the monsters like Lynels are easier to beat because not all of us are advanced gamers or are looking for some challenge.

Re: Video: Get Ready For Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom, With Nintendo's Breath Of The Wild Recap

Debbiee

@Ade117 I enjoyed what they done with Zelda in Breath of the Wild too and the Champions which was one of the reasons I also really enjoyed 'Age of Calamity' and I would recommend anybody who hasn't played it to give 'Age of Calamity' a go even though it doesn't appear to connect onto this upcoming game with the storylines since it still serves as a great prequel imo and it is fun seeing what all the areas in Hyrule looked like before they were destroyed. Also, Zelda and the champions were a lot of fun to play as.

I had hours of fun playing as Zelda when I unlocked her powers. πŸ˜€

Re: Video: Get Ready For Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom, With Nintendo's Breath Of The Wild Recap

Debbiee

It took me close to three years to finish 'Breath of the Wild.' I am not sure I would attempt doing it again but it was worth it and I enjoyed exploring Hyrule and spent years exploring everything and collecting fruits, weapons and finding the Korok Seeds which is probably why it took me so long to finish it πŸ˜„ but it was fun and I look forward to seeing all the changes in Hyrule and the new areas in Tears of the Kingdom.

Re: Mario's Creator Shigeru Miyamoto Teases More Nintendo Movies

Debbiee

@NinjaNicky I really hope it is true. I have been waiting ages for another Donkey Kong game too. I would love an open world game but I would be happy with a New Donkey Kong Country 3. It was nearly a decade ago Tropical Freeze came out and I thought they would have had a new game out by now since Donkey Kong is one of their most popular and longest running franchises.

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Trailer #3 - Every New Detail Revealed

Debbiee

@WichtPeendragoon020 I never said the reports were concrete about Zelda being a playable character. What I said was there were rumours about Zelda being a playable character on multiple sites when the first trailer came out based on what we saw with Link and Zelda together at the start but it seems any talk about having Zelda as a playable character despite her having awesome powers upsets some of the misogynists on here so I am going to refrain from posting about it further. How dare we want to be able to play as a female character too in a game called 'Legend of Zelda.' πŸ™„ Thankfully we do have 'Age of Calamity' which shows Zelda can be an awesome character to play as.

Re: Community: Have You Played A Great Switch Game We Missed? Let Us Know About It

Debbiee

It came out back in 2020 but I have been replaying it again on Nintendo Switch lately and I have to say I really enjoy 'Ary and the Secret of Seasons' and there are some glitches in the game and it wasn't perfect but I find it a lot of fun to play and it kinda looks like a Disney movie made into a video game and is similar to the 3D 'Legend of Zelda' games and 3D platformers of the past. I read it won awards so I wasn't the only person that liked it and I would love a sequel that improved on the first game.

Re: Talking Point: Which Nintendo Franchise Should Illumination Tackle Next?

Debbiee

@MarioBrickLayer Thanks and I agree. There are many different things they could do with Legend of Zelda movies and they could loosely base them on some of the actual games like Breath of the Wild, Ocarina of Time and Skyward Sword for example but do something new with them at the same time instead of a direct adaptation 'cause if they were to do that a lot of fans would already know the endings and they wouldn't be as exciting to see. A lot of superhero movies have been loosely based on storylines from the comics but the writers have been able to bring something new to them at the same time and make them their own stories so I think the same could be done with Legend of Zelda.

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Switch Download Card Shows Off New Characters

Debbiee

Where is the Grand Plateau in this game? I am surprised we haven't seen it in any of the footage that has been released so far considering it was such an important part of 'Breath of the Wild' being the starting area. I have a feeling if it is in the game it is not going to be an easy area like it was before and will have some of the most powerful monsters roaming around.

Re: Talking Point: Which Nintendo Franchise Should Illumination Tackle Next?

Debbiee

@FawfulsFury A lot of people I know want a live action Legend of Zelda movie but I think if they were to adapt it into live action with all the monsters and violence from the games it would end up with an M rating or possibly higher (just look at the trailer for Tears of the Kingdom) which is not what I think Nintendo would want. The same goes with Metroid and Metroid could easily be R rated in live action so I think they would have to really tone them down and make them more friendly to fans of all ages.

Re: Talking Point: Which Nintendo Franchise Should Illumination Tackle Next?

Debbiee

Kirby by far. Possibly the most underrated and underestimated franchise in the history of gaming. Kirby is insanely popular and has outsold a lot of other popular video game franchises but a lot of people downplay Kirby and don't mention it alongside many of the most successful video game franchises when it is one. My second pick would be Donkey Kong and I would love a movie with all the Kongs like Diddy, Dixie, Clanky, Tiny, Cranky, Funky, Wrinkly, Candy and Chunky Kong.

I am still hoping we get the live action Pokemon movie based on the TV Show that was rumoured to be in development a few years ago. As much as I liked Detective Pikachu I think that should have been made first.

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Trailer #3 - Every New Detail Revealed

Debbiee

@Bigmanfan Oh. That's fair. I wasn't a big fan of Zelda's voice acting either and find it to be kinda over the top at times and wish the Actor would speak more normal but I liked Zelda's story and playing as Zelda with her full powers and it is fun being able to wipe out heaps of monsters at the same time with the beams of light from her hands and it is kinda like playing as a superhero but you have to make it to a certain point in the game where you unlock her powers and I was just thinking that could be fun for 'Tears of the Kingdom' if you made it towards the end of the game or they had it as some kind of DLC where you could travel around Hyrule with powers like that taking down Lynels and all the other monsters that are hard to beat. I liked Lynels a lot more in AOC 'cause they are easier to beat and wish they made them easier in Breath of the Wild 'cause they seem really overpowered like I beat all the monsters in the Divine Beasts, multiple Hinoxes and Moldugas and Calamity Ganon and found them all to be heaps easier than beating a Lynel and if we don't have Ancient Arrows in this game I will be running away when I see them. πŸ˜„ I loved playing as Mipha and Revali in 'AOC' too and thought Mipha had a great moveset being able to summon fountains and drop multiple bombs at the same time.

I am kinda disappointed this game doesn't acknowledge the changes that were made in Age of Calamity because I wanted the champions to live and to be able to fight alongside Link one more time and have a happy ending. Their stories are so sad especially Mipha 😯 but I like their descendants.

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Trailer #3 - Every New Detail Revealed

Debbiee

@Bigmanfan Yeah. I will agree with you there and rumors often don't turn out to be true but there are some that do which is why I wouldn't always shoot them down. As for lame stealth gameplay, have you not played as Zelda in 'Age of Calamity?" She is literally the most powerful character in the game and has awesome powers that can wipe out heaps of villains at the same time just by moving her hand shooting out beams of light and can float around and shoot powerful light arrows. A lot of my friends loved playing as Zelda because of how powerful she is and to have powers like that in an open world Zelda game would be a lot of fun. I respectfully disagree with you about Sonic and always liked playing as Tails more.

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Trailer #3 - Every New Detail Revealed

Debbiee

@blindsquarel No. They are not but all I am saying is they might be unlockable if you reach the end of the game or DLC like how you could play as Batgirl, Nightwing, Robin, Azrael, Harley Quinn etc in the Arkham games. I would happily pay for DLC if it included Zelda and the Champions as playable characters.

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Trailer #3 - Every New Detail Revealed

Debbiee

@Bigmanfan They are sometimes when they come from sites that turn out to be right about things and the same sites were right about a number of the rumors they posted about 'Age of Calamity' so they might be right about this or they might not. Who knows. I don't get why some fans are so against having Zelda as a playable character though. Many fans I know that play the games have been wanting Zelda as a playable character for years and loved playing as her in 'Age of Calamity.'

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Trailer #3 - Every New Detail Revealed

Debbiee

@Bigmanfan It was rumoured on multiple sites back when they were still calling the game 'Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2' Zelda could be a playable character this time round and you could play as both Link and Zelda. With the way they have the champions fighting alongside Link in the trailer similar to their ancestors in 'Age of Calamity' it is not too far fetched to think they might be playable characters too that could be unlocked or part of the DLC. It might not happen but there is always a possibility.

Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Trailer #3 - Every New Detail Revealed

Debbiee

@Ryu_Niiyama I agree. I loved what 'Age of Calamity' done with Zelda too and I would like to see Zelda not only in a bigger role in this game but as a playable character too and it looks like there is a chance she might be along with the champions and I'm getting major 'AOC' vibes with how they have the champions fighting alongside Link in part of the new trailer just like their ancestors did in Age of Calamity. It has been kinda a long running joke the game is called 'Legend of Zelda' but we can very rarely play as Zelda. I wish they would change that and let us play as Zelda in this game too and have her as a playable character we can unlock towards the end . Her powers in AOC were awesome and it would be fun to play in an open world environment with powers like that.

Re: Poll: What Did You Make Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom's Final Trailer?

Debbiee

OMG. This looks unbelievable. I cannot wait to play it!!! I was worried about having to fight Lynels in this game again but it looks like Link can turn into his own Lynel form that should make it easier for us to fight them and other villains and I am so happy to see the champions (the descendants of the original ones) in this game and it would be awesome if Zelda and them are playable characters you can unlock near the end. What is that huge scary silver monster in the desert though? I am worried about going there now until I have what is needed to beat it. I do not want to be eaten, thank you. πŸ˜¨πŸ˜…

Re: Talking Point: With One Month 'Til TOTK, What's Left For You To Do In Zelda: Breath Of The Wild?

Debbiee

@NintendoWife Yes. I know the region of Hyrule in 'Breath of the Wild' very well now and it took a long time to explore it and I was still coming across things I didn't know about when I was close to finishing the game and I enjoy the exploring aspect of open world games and it takes a long time to play some of them and it is easy to lose track of what you have already done and collected if you put it a side for a long time. With 'Breath of the Wild' I would regularly go back to it when I stopped to play other games and when I got 'Age of Calamity' it was before I had finished 'Breath of the Wild' and I was going to all the areas the levels of 'Age of Calamity' were set in to compare what they looked like after Ganon destroyed things and while there were some noticeable differences in 'Age of Calamity' like areas being extended to be a whole level I felt they done a pretty good of staying true to 'Breath of the Wild's' and its map of Hyrule. There were some areas I would travel around multiple times just to collect items so I familiarized myself with them the most along with the Hinox locations so when my Royal Bows and Broadswords broke I could easily get new ones once the Blood Red Moon rose and the monsters respawned.

I like smaller sized games too and can understand why some fans don't like the size of Hyrule in 'Breath of the Wild' and there are a lot of places in it that aren't very meaningful but I liked the exploring part and thought the beach areas looked the most beautiful and some might find it boring πŸ˜„ but I love looking around at everything and just find the sheer amount of detail that goes into some of these open world games to be astounding. It is amazing how far games have come over the years and I remember playing 'Pokemon Blue' for the first time and thinking it was big' and then 'Pokemon Gold and Silver' came out and they had a whole new region to explore and they included the region from the first games in it too but it was different than it was before and not to mention 'Super Mario 64', 'Banjo Kazooie', 'Banjo Tooie' and 'Donkey Kong 64' for the first time on Nintendo 64. All those games seemed so big at the time and felt like they had so much to explore but looking back those were pretty small compared to a game like 'Breath of the Wild' πŸ˜„ and now its like these games have really become their own worlds and you can get lost in them for hours.

Re: Talking Point: With One Month 'Til TOTK, What's Left For You To Do In Zelda: Breath Of The Wild?

Debbiee

@NintendoWife I am actually one of the fans that are happy we are getting the same map with new parts added to it because after all the years I spent exploring everything in Hyrule I am looking forward to going back to places like Hateno Village, Lurelin Village, Kakariko Village, Rito Village, Zora's Domain, Gerudo Town, Goron City, Akkala Highlands, the Grand Plateau etc and seeing what they look like now. One of the things I really liked about 'Age of Calamity' was seeing what everything looked like before Ganon destroyed things. I think they are going to be different in this game too and there will be new monsters where there weren't monsters before and I am just hoping they don't fill up the map with Lynels 'cause I marked all the locations where Lynels where on the map so I could avoid them. πŸ˜…

Re: Talking Point: With One Month 'Til TOTK, What's Left For You To Do In Zelda: Breath Of The Wild?

Debbiee

I completed everything including Tarrey Town except for finishing all the Shrines and collecting all the Korok Seeds. It took me close to three years to do it and I spent months collecting fruits, meat, monster parts and weapons so I would never run out and I liked the exploring part the most and had fun exploring all the areas in Hyrule and I liked Lurelin Village and the beach areas the most. I hated Lynels though and after getting killed multiple times by one early in the game and trying to kill it with close to 100 Bomb Arrows that had little effect on it I decided to avoid Lynels and ran every time I saw them until I got the Ancient Arrows and then I would take them out from a distance but after 2 and a half years I decided one day to take a silver Lynel on head on and I went all out and kept filling up my health with fruit and meat every time it hit me and I surprisingly defeated it. It was fun to finally kill one after being scared to go near them for so long and killing them in 'Age of Calamity' where they were easier helped me get over my fear but I would prefer if they made them easier in 'Tears of the Kingdom' if they return 'cause they are ridiculously overpowered and I had no trouble beating the monsters inside the Divine Beasts and Calamity Ganon and lost count of how many Hinoxes and Stone Talus's I have killed but Lynels are a nightmare and shouldn't be so hard since they are not the main villain.
