It is disappointing the sequel is taking this long and they have hardly revealed any information about it. I hope that changes and they have some more information and video footage of it out before the end of the year. I am curious if this game is going to continue on directly from 'Breathe of the Wild' or it is going to include the changes made to the timeline in 'Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity' with Revali, Daruk, Mipha and Urbosa still being alive and a lot of Hyrule not being destroyed like it was in 'Breathe of the Wild' 'cause if not they could make a sequel to 'Age of Calamity' in the changed timeline too.
It is a shame we can get new South Park games but not new Simpsons games. I would love a sequel to The Simpsons: Hit & Run, another game like 'The Simpsons (2007)' or an open world game where we can explore all of Springfield and some of the towns around it and hopefully they make one.
I am more interested in new games at the moment than a new Switch console and it has been over 5 years now and we still have not had a new Donkey Kong game or a 2D Mario Bros game and I hope we get those, Legend of Zelda: Breathe of the Wild 2 and Mario Kart 9 before they make us buy a new console.
@SpaceboyScreams Yes but when the wild Pokemon come out you go straight to battle with them and they attack the Pokemon and not the person. I never had to worry about being chased by a Snorlax before and that is pretty terrifying. lol
It is a good game and I have enjoyed playing it and if they ever make a sequel one of the main changes I would like to see is the addition of jumping and climbing similar to what they have in 'Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. '
I LOVE Super Mario Sunshine and would give anything for a sequel or another game set in Isle Delfino. With what they can do in games today an expanded Isle Delfino would be fun to see.
Just as long as we don't have any more savage Pokemon in the games I will be happy. I enjoyed 'Pokemon Legends: Arceus' but I didn't like how they made the Pokemon scary and attack you.
@dojmin No. That is usually one of the things that makes me want to buy games and as somebody that grew up playing video games like Pokemon, Mario, Sonic, Kirby, Donkey Kong, Rayman, Alex Kidd, Wonder Boy, Spyro the Dragon, Crash Bandicoot, Banjo Kazooie, Legend of Zelda and Metroid I always look for games that are similar to those.
The fact it was similar to 'Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' was one of the main things that drew me to the game in the first place and while I didn't think it was as good I enjoyed the game and would love a sequel but 2025 is a long time to make fans wait especially when the first game came out 2 years ago. I don't mean to sound impatient but with this not being a long running established franchise like 'Legend of Zelda' I think by holding the sequel off for too long it could affect its sales because with all the games that come and go there is a chance people will have forgotten about it by then or won't be as interested as they would if it had come out sooner after they played the first game.
We already know that Tails and Amy are in this game, as well as Motobugs in one of the Cyberspace worlds, so there's cute Sonic-like characters in it too.
But are Tails and Amy playable characters too or only appear 'cause I would love to be able to play as them too and have always enjoyed playing as Tails more than Sonic (nothing against Sonic😄). Also it would be strange if Knuckles doesn't appear after they just had him in the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie.
I wish they would add some Master System games or create a Master System mini too. Some of the Alex Kidd and Wonderboy games have been re-released as of late but it would be nice to have some other older games like Dynamite Dux, Teddy Boy, Paper Boy, The Simpsons: Bart vs The Space Mutants, Ariel Assault, Psycho Fox and The Lucky Dime Caper Starring Donald Duck.
I played some of the classic Pac Man games ages ago and thought they were okay but I had no idea Pac Man had a Platformer game like this and I am looking forward to playing it for the first time when it comes out because I love Platformer games and this looks like it will be a lot of fun. .
I am looking forward to playing Sonic Frontiers, Pac Man World Re-Pac, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope and Doraemon Story of Seasons: Friends of the Great Kingdom the most but I would be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed we didn't some news about the new 3D Yooka Laylee game and hope we get an update about that soon.
It looks like it is going to be a good game but I hope we get to play as the other characters too especially Tails 'cause Tails looks like he would be a perfect fit for this open world setting. I heard the Voice Actor who plays Amy has been confirmed to be in the game.
I am looking forward to this game and am hoping it is good and I also like that they are trying something new with an open world but I am hoping we get to play as other characters like Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Shadow too 'cause I have always liked playing as the other characters more especially Tails.
Here's a question. Why doesn't Nintendo release a Pokemon collection? There have been collections of Mario, Sonic, Kirby, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, Wonderboy, Uncharted, Grand Theft Auto etc but we have yet to get a single collection of Pokemon despite it being one of the most popular video game franchises of all time. A lot of Pokemon fans I know would love a collection of the classic games.
I would love it if they made a 3D collection with Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Generations or just re-released Sonic Heroes. A lot of Sonic fans I know including those that aren't overly fond of the 3D games think Sonic Heroes was one of the better entries in the 3D series and I think it deserves a second chance especially when the least popular 3D game, Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) is getting one.
@Peach64 I didn't mind Yooka Laylee. It wasn't great but I didn't think it was a horrible game and I am glad they are getting another chance to make a 3D Yooka Laylee game 'cause I think now they know what fans liked and didn't like about the first game the second 3D game could be a lot better.
I would love it if we finally got a third game and they done remasters of the first two games with modern graphics too. There are far less popular video game franchises making comebacks now and getting sequels and remakes and I think Banjo Kazooie deserves a second chance. The first two games were very popular and it still annoys me they stopped making them based on the performance of 'Nuts and Bolts' when 'Nuts and Bolts' wasn't even a proper Banjo Kazooie game and would have been like if Nintendo stopped making main series Mario games if one of the Mario Kart, Golf or Tennis games flopped. There were a lot of fans that wanted a third game like Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie.
@Nintendzoey I agree with most of the things you said in your post and am looking forward to a sequel but I think we might be holding them to too far higher standards for a game as good as 'Banjo Kazooie' and 'Banjo Tooie' 'cause those were games that millions of people loved and look back on fondly from when they were younger and it is like 'Mary Poppins' in a way with when they made 'Mary Poppins Returns.' The original is such a beloved classic it is hard to make another fans are going to love as much. I am just happy with having a good enjoyable game and I think this will be better than the first one. Let's just hope we get more levels this time instead of extensions because that was really the only disappointing thing for me.
I know t here were some people that found the game disappointing 'cause it wasn't as good as 'Banjo Kazooie' and 'Banjo Tooie' but I enjoyed it and I think the sequel could be even better since they have had time to look at what people liked and didn't like and improve on it. My one wish is they have more different themed levels instead of extending them and would like a beach type of level and a carnival one like they had in the 'Banjo Kazooie' games. It is sadly looking unlikely we will get another 'Banjo Kazooie' game or 'Conker's Bad Fur Day 2' so this could be the closest thing we will get and I am all for it.
To be honest, I think it is ridiculous we can't get a new 'Banjo Kazooie' game or a remastered collection of 'Banjo Kazooie' and 'Banjo Tooie' when there are far less popular video games being brought back now and getting new entries and remakes after they have been dead for ages like Alex Kidd and Wonder Boy and I 100 percent blame Microsoft 'cause if 'Banjo Kazooie' had been owned by Nintendo I have no doubt we would still be getting 'Banjo Kazooie' games now based on the popularity of the first two games but when Microsoft took over Rare we got that crappy 'Nuts and Bolts' game that was nothing like 'Banjo Kazooie' and 'Banjo Tooie' and was more like a spinoff game like 'Mario Kart' or 'Mario Tennis' and used the failure of the sales of that as a reason to not make any more 'Banjo Kazooie' games. Imagine if Nintendo suddenly decided to stop making any Mario games 'cause a 'Mario Golf' game flopped 'cause that is exactly what Rare done.
If only they acquired Rare years ago. We could still be getting new Banjo Kazooie games and Donkey Kong 3D games. Banjo Kazooie should have been a Nintendo property. Microsoft completely wasted it while Nintendo would have kept it going like Mario, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Pokemon, Legend of Zelda, Metroid etc etc. With them doing 'Mario + Rabbids' games they should try and acquire the rights to Rayman.
Sadly not surprising. The Wii U's Nintendo eShop is heaps better than the Nintendo Switch's eShop 'cause of all the classic games you can get on it and many fans have said it but instead of giving us a better eShop on Nintendo Switch they take the old one down because it is making them look bad. After all the rumours of Gamecube and Gameboy games being added the Nintendo eShop on the Nintendo Switch turned out to be incredibly disappointing.
I really wish we would get some news about the rumoured Donkey Kong game. It was 40 years ago last year when we first got Donkey Kong and sadly Nintendo done nothing for the anniversary. It is like Donkey Kong has been thrown on the backburner and is forgotten when it has long been one of Nintendo's most popular franchises.
That's great news. I enjoyed the games and never understood the hate they got from some fans aside from not having every Pokemon in them which was disappointing to an extent - yes but it didn't ruin the games for me and I have played both multiple times. Maybe I am just a fan of all things Pokemon but I don't think there has been a single Pokemon game I have played that I didn't enjoy. Obviously, I felt some were better than others but I haven't hated any of them.
I hope we get an appearance from Amy near the end to set up the third movie. The Director said he wants to make multiple movies because there are a lot of good Sonic characters he wants to use and I think a third is likely to have Shadow as the villain and will have Amy and possibly Rouge the Bat.
I wish we could have the Wii U's Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch. The one thing the Nintendo Wii U done better than the Nintendo Switch was their eShop.
Will 'Arkham Asylum' and 'Arkham City' be the remastered versions from the 'Return to Arkham' double pack that came out in 2016 and include all the downloadable content for the games? I think it would be good if they added 'Arkham Origins' to it too and gave it and 'Arkham Knight' remastered versions like the first two. 'Arkham Origins' was very underrated and I still enjoy playing that game and a remastered version would give them the chance to get rid of the glitches in the game people complained about.
Can't wait!! I love Kirby games and have been waiting ages for a 3D Kirby game and I am surprised they didn't make one for the Nintendo 64 when they were making 3D games of a lot of the other Nintendo series. 2022 is looking to be a very exciting year for video games and aside from this I am looking forward to 'Pokémon Legends: Arceus', 'Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2', Gotham Knights', 'Sonic Frontiers', 'Yooka Laylee 2', 'Ghostbusters' (Sequel to the 2009 game) and the rumoured new 'Donkey Kong' game.
Now, if only we could get new games of Rayman, Mario Kart, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and Monster Boy too.
@Clear-green-track-pi Yes. I am. It looks like it could be a great game and I am curious to see if most of the game is going to resemble what we saw in the trailer or there are going to be parts of it that resemble some of the other levels in the older Sonic games like the Chemical Plant, Casino Night, Mushroom Hill and Emerald Coast for example 'cause that would be fun. I am also hoping we get to play as Tails, Knuckles and Amy and I think Tails especially would be fun to play as in a game like this.
@Bolt_Strike Yeah. I think you are right and as long as the games are good and can stand on their own I don't have a problem with it since I like that style of game. I would love to see an open world 3D Donkey Kong game too
@Big_Fudge That's your opinion and I disagree. I loved the Spider-Man games based on the movies and having Bruce Campbell as the tour guide along with the Actors from the movies playing the voices made them even more fun. The Amazing Spider-Man was also a great 3D Spider-Man game and many people I know liked that and some even liked it more than the movie.
@Doofenshmirtz If 'Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' can run on the Switch and we are going to get 'Breath of the Wild 2' and 'Pokémon Legends: Arceus' on the Switch next year too then I don't see why not. This games looks very similar to Breath of the Wild except with Sonic in it and similar games like 'Immortals: Fenyx Rising' and 'Ary and the Secret of Seasons' run fine on the Switch too.
@Nintendo_Thumb I agree but I think it will have a lot of enemies in it and I also think we will get to play as other characters like Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Shadow. Amy being confirmed for the game means other characters will most likely be involved too.
@358dayswaterson I hope we get a second game collection with Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Generations. Sonic Origins is just the same games we have already had in multiple previous Sonic collections.
Funny how Amy is confirmed for this game but doesn't appear to be in the new movie. Maybe they decided to reveal this early for Amy fans who were disappointed by her not being in the new movie. I think we will see Amy (and Shadow) for sure if they make a third movie though.
Wow. This looks like it could be a really good game and I am seeing a lot of people comparing it to 'Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' like they have 'Pokémon Legends: Arceus' and I love that game so I don't have a problem with them drawing inspiration from it. Hopefully we get to play as Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Shadow too. Tails especially would be fun to play as in an environment like this.
@quinnyboy58 I'm surprised we are still waiting for Mario Kart 9. I thought they would have released it for sure by now on Nintendo Switch but at least we have got some similar games like 'Team Sonic Racing', 'Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled' and 'Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2' to play while we wait.
If only we could get 'Diddy Kong Racing' on the Switch.
I really hope we get remakes of Gold and Silver. Those are my favourite Pokemon games of all time and it would be fun to be able to play them on Switch with modern graphics. There was some talk about sequels to the 'Let's Go' games being remakes of Gold and Silver but I am not sure if they are still happening now.
YYYYAAAAAAYYYYY!!!!!! So happy to hear we are getting a sequel to 'Yooka Laylee.' The first game wasn't as good as the old 'Banjo Kazooie' games or 'Conker's Bad Fur Day' and 'Donkey Kong 64' but I still enjoyed the game nonetheless and was hoping we would get a sequel one day. Three things I am hoping for in the sequel. 1) More levels. The first game didn't have many levels and I think that was partly 'cause they decided to expand the existing levels when you got more pagies but I would like to see more levels this time over expansions. 2) A beach level. A beach level was one of the level types I felt was missing that I always like playing in games and I would love to see something similar to Treasure Trove Cove. A Carnival or Amusement Park type of level could be fun too. 3) More moves. Kinda like 'Banjo Tooie' expanded on the moves from 'Banjo Kazooie' I would like to see the same thing.
Thanks for sharing this news. My Niece and I are thrilled. As somebody who loved playing the old 3D platformer games I am glad to see they are making a comeback in recent years and I have been able to enjoy them again with my Niece who loves them too.

Re: The Plot Synopsis For Sonic Frontiers Has Been Revealed
@Bolt_Strike Yeah. I think you are right and as long as the games are good and can stand on their own I don't have a problem with it since I like that style of game. I would love to see an open world 3D Donkey Kong game too
Re: Best Spider-Man Games On Nintendo Consoles
@Big_Fudge That's your opinion and I disagree. I loved the Spider-Man games based on the movies and having Bruce Campbell as the tour guide along with the Actors from the movies playing the voices made them even more fun. The Amazing Spider-Man was also a great 3D Spider-Man game and many people I know liked that and some even liked it more than the movie.
I lost count of how many times I played that.
Re: Gallery: Here Are Six New Screenshots Of Sonic Frontiers, Coming To Nintendo Switch Holiday 2022
Re: That Mysterious Voice In The Sonic Frontiers Trailer? Turns Out It's A Familiar Friend
@Nintendo_Thumb I agree but I think it will have a lot of enemies in it and I also think we will get to play as other characters like Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Shadow. Amy being confirmed for the game means other characters will most likely be involved too.
Re: That Mysterious Voice In The Sonic Frontiers Trailer? Turns Out It's A Familiar Friend
@358dayswaterson I hope we get a second game collection with Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Generations. Sonic Origins is just the same games we have already had in multiple previous Sonic collections.
Re: That Mysterious Voice In The Sonic Frontiers Trailer? Turns Out It's A Familiar Friend
Funny how Amy is confirmed for this game but doesn't appear to be in the new movie. Maybe they decided to reveal this early for Amy fans who were disappointed by her not being in the new movie. I think we will see Amy (and Shadow) for sure if they make a third movie though.
Re: The Plot Synopsis For Sonic Frontiers Has Been Revealed
Re: Mario Kart Tour Gears Up For Its Holiday Tour
@quinnyboy58 I'm surprised we are still waiting for Mario Kart 9. I thought they would have released it for sure by now on Nintendo Switch but at least we have got some similar games like 'Team Sonic Racing', 'Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled' and 'Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2' to play while we wait.
If only we could get 'Diddy Kong Racing' on the Switch.
Re: Video: Side-By-Side Comparison Of Pokémon's Diamond And Pearl Remakes Running On Every Switch
Re: Playtonic's Original Yooka-Laylee Game Is Getting A Follow-Up Title
