Re: Review: Final Fight 3 (New 3DS / SNES)

Dave24

@ThanosReXXX again, you talk about brand recognition.

Also, you say you don't agree with not knowing about the quote without watching, and then, in the very next sentence, give 3 ways to learn about it. You try way too hard.

Re: Review: Final Fight 3 (New 3DS / SNES)

Dave24

@ThanosReXXX still, you can know origins of the quote without watching the movie.
Also, not every star wars movie or cartoon uses this quote and your argument is only about brand recognition (in that case you're right), 2001 also got DVD releases and you can watch in on telly.
Or you're trying to say every Kubrick movie faded into obscuirty?

Re: Review: Final Fight 3 (New 3DS / SNES)

Dave24

@ThanosReXXX so by your logic most do not know from where "use the force" is, because it's a quote from 70s movie.
"so I think it's pretty safe to say that if we would make a poll about it, that 80% or more will answer 'no' to the question of whether or not they have seen it"
And what does it have to do with anything? You don't have to see something to acknowledge it. You can know the quotes, characters etc. without seeing the movie. I know it's hard concept to grasp.

Re: Review: Final Fight 3 (New 3DS / SNES)

Dave24

@ThanosReXXX mane, I could only agree if the avg was 5 years old. Lion's share of cartoons and tv shows refrenced it, so unless you don't have tv and live under a rock, I could agree. 2001 is not something obscure. The author wasn't even first nor the last to refrence it. Trying to say it's obscure and "most won't get it" is trying to be special snowflake.
Although on the other hand, we live in the age of braindead teens who were amazed that Titanic movie was based on real events and the ship actually existed.

Re: ESL Go4Splatoon Tournament Winners Will Get A Nintendo NX Console

Dave24

@Moshugan the same was said about Wii U, and yet look how it ended up.
After such sales disaster, they should hype it up and manage the hype up to release date. Sony did that with Uncharted 4, they didn't wait for interwebz and fast travel news - they hyped it, maintained it, and they have bestseller. Same with PS4 itself.

Re: ESL Go4Splatoon Tournament Winners Will Get A Nintendo NX Console

Dave24

Wow, Nintendo really is clueless and don't know what they are doing.
Instead of advertising the hell out of it so people will give a single solitary crap about it, that's the most confirmed news we got about the console - that it really will release in 2017.
So far, it sets up to fail harder than U, which is sad.

Re: Random: How One Of Sega's Worst TV Ads Sparked An Epic Quest To Track Down A Fictional Barber

Dave24

"You might feel that Nintendo has dropped the ball with its promotion of the Wii U, but Sega's commercials for the Dreamcast in Europe make Nintendo's efforts seem incredibly effective."
How Nintendo effort can be more effective when there was no advertising at all? 10 times 0 is still 0. With U N woke up waaay too late with advertisment for the console and firing the marketing guy, who took money for doing absolutly nothing like a true freeloader in the first year or two of the console life.

Now U is dead and advertisment for it in the form of whole direct was epic pulling the plug on the console.

Re: Nintendo of America Issues Takedown Request on AM2R, Ending the Project

Dave24

The guy was stupid wasting all the years away and effort to make it, seriously. Everybody knows damn well how Nintendo acts with projects like this.

Although it shows how stupid at the same time Nintendo is, since they keep on going with killing the franchise and it's succesful strategy so far.
One more crap like federation farce and the franchise will be dead.

Re: Super Mario Maker Is Coming To 3DS

Dave24

Kek!
So as expected Nintendo pulled MS and officialy pulled the plug. And people had confidence in Nintendo and how great and smart they are and how they will not bone consumers like those other evul companies.

I wait for white knights saying it's great move

Re: Review: Letter Quest Remastered (Wii U eShop)

Dave24

Many adventure/point and click games actually were educational games in disguise, giving you historical, chemistry, math, biology, geohraphical, physics, mythological or real life bs knowledge.

Saying p&c is not traditional bideo game is ignorant at best and stupid at worst.
Don't even get me started on excellent Civ series or Europa Universalis.

Entire intrudoction tries to say something, but it's a waste of space and padding with reviewer trying to do forshadowing based on his own lack of knowledge and ignorance.

Re: Legend of Kusakari Devs on Nintendo's Reaction to Zelda Parallels

Dave24

Surprising you say? Why? Nintendo can't do anything about it, because diffrent name and all that.
That's what that Metroid 2 remake guy should have done - name it diffrently and change few sprites. Instead, it got obviously slammed by N.

Speaking of rip offs, what happened to Midora? You know, that copy pasta of Minish cap

Re: Review: Armikrog (Wii U eShop)

Dave24

@shaneoh But in those games when you backtrack, you get to solve new puzzles or something, here though? There are no puzzles. You painstaikingly backtrack through nearly the whole game to listen 4 piles of goo that tell you the boring story of Armikrog that you already don't care about.

Backtracking in Myst, Atlantis or Longest Journey led you to other puzzles, here it is only there to make the game longer than 2 hours and it couldn't be made more obvious that developers did not care to make a good game. There is literally nothing other than walking back to talk. And then more walking to embrace the ending - fart straight in your face. I'm not joking.

Re: Review: Armikrog (Wii U eShop)

Dave24

"With the introduction of Telltale's The Walking Dead a few years back, the long dormant adventure genre came back with aplomb"
How about no? At least try to not make stuff up next time like the other guy. Do your research next time, if you care that is.

6? Are you serious? You forgot to mention that the game is around 3 hours long (with backtracking), rehashes the same puzzles, which is pathetic considering how many puzzles are there (really low number). This game is not even funny and when it is, it's stolen from somewhere else. There was no effort put. None at all.

The biggest offender is the ending that teases the sequel. Considering how incredibly crappy and short this game really is, it's insulting and it's middle finger from developer to anyone who payed their hard earned money.

Re: Nintendo Download: 25th August (Europe)

Dave24

Armikrog is incredible pile of crap. Only couple of jokes and only ones that are funny are stolen. 3 hours long with backtracking and barely any puzzles.
As for claymation - around 5 minutes of it. The rest is computer generated.

Stay away.

Re: Niantic Is Dropping The Ban Hammer On Pokémon GO Players Who "Cheat"

Dave24

So I guess their inability to bring the game to all Android 4.4 phones is considered cheating/accessing in unauthorised manner and by turning on the app on phone by downloading apk will get account terminated.

Punishing people for their own laziness/incompetence and greed. Good job.
I can see many innocent people getting banned and numbers dropping.

Re: Feature: Ten Ideal Launch Year Nintendo NX Games

Dave24

Super Mario Maker is good for couple of days/weeks, later there is monotony and annoying limitations are more and more obvious.

For me it would be MK9(on second thought, fudge it, F-zero!), Bayonetta 3, sequel to The Wonderful 101, Zelda, Startropics 3 or reboot, 2D and 3D Mario and something as excellent as Tropical Freeze. Maybe some proper Kirby and not that crappy yarn wool thing.

Re: Metroid is 30 Years Old Today

Dave24

Can't blame anyone for forgetting about Metroid anniversary. The series faded into irrevelancy again and change as big as Prime can get it back into spotlight.
