Re: Ninjala's Getting A Puzzle & Dragons Collab, Season 4 Details Teased

DLevene17

I still play PaD on my phone and still enjoy it after nearly 2k days of logging in. But now that I work a full time job I don't have much time to play anymore.

On the other hand PaD Gold is not worth it and I highly recommend you don't buy it. I don't regret spending a few bucks for a few hours of gameplay, but it has barely any content and it's a waste of money. It's also way too easy. I only bought it cuz I was curious as a long-time PaD mobile player.

Re: Kingdom Hearts: Melody Of Memory Brings An Exclusive Mode To Switch This November

DLevene17

I love kingdom hearts but I have yet to play through all the main series entries because SE won't port them to Switch for some reason (literally easy money smh). THOSE are what I really want to play; not this rhythm game. With that being said I will definitely pick this up......when it drops in price. This game does NOT scream $60 of value in any way shape or form.

Re: Wonderful 101 Confirmed For Switch, But There's A Catch

DLevene17

Paid $46 total for a physical version to be shipped to the US. I love superhero games with cool concepts and this looks like it'll be a lot of chaotic fun on my Switch. Excellent price for a port and Platinum really seems to know what they're doing with this.

I bet they're using most of their capital money on Bayonetta 3 development so I'm not surprised they went the Kickstarter route.

Re: Review: Puzzle & Dragons Gold - Sadly, Not Everything That Glitters Is Gold

DLevene17

I actually bought the game last week (had some gold points so only cost $5) and attest to feeling exactly as this reviewer felt. Let me preface by saying that I am a regular player of the actual mobile game and have been playing since early 2015. I'm one of the top players in NA (ign is Davi/r) of the mobile game but I've been playing far less than I used to because of the lack of new content (story mode actually was just released today). So i was pretty excited for this game as a nice distraction. Unfortunately, the story mode in this Switch game is absolute TRASH. I've actually had a bit of fun playing multiplayer, HOWEVER, good luck finding people to play with you. It is quite difficult to find any players online, and even then they never stay for a rematch. I rolled some decent cards from the machine and I understand the game very well. Because of this I demolish most players I play online and they NEVER rematch me. So basically the only fun part of the game doesn't work very well. I should also mention that the UI is HORRIBLE and INCONSISTENT. For a game that requires the touchscreen to be played it makes absolutely NO SENSE that only some parts of the UI can be controlled by tapping the screen. Also, as far as choosing the monsters for your team, if it wasn't already confusing that the cards have different awakenings and active skills than the mobile game, the cards themselves have different versions with different awakenings. And the functions of many of the awakenings are different than the mobile game.

With all that being said I don't regret spending $5 on this considering how much magic stones cost in the mobile game. The few hours I got from this were mostly enjoyable once I figured out the differences in gameplay from the mobile game.

TLDR; The multiplayer mode is pretty fun but don't expect to get too many hours from this mostly bland, occasionally enjoyable game. HMU with any questions.

Re: Switch Pro Rumours Resurface As New Report Claims Mid-2020 Release For New System

DLevene17

Got my revised switch in early September and love it. I don't play games too often because I'm quite busy between work and college but once in a while I get a chance to use it for a couple hours here and there. I would consider it a complete waste of money to upgrade to a Switch "Pro" and I'm sure Nintendo knows that this is the thought process of most people.

The ONLY reason I would ever consider paying money to upgrade to a pro is if KH3 releases on the platform and needs the Pro model to run it. The Kingdom Hearts series needs to come to switch. Square and Disney are giving up the chance to make millions.

Re: This New Switch Case Comes With Console Straps, A Stand And Detachable Joy-Con Covers

I'd be wary about this product. It looks like there is mostly tpu/silicon material but the corners used for stability are made of hard plastic. Which means that if even one corner cracks from a drop it loses its integrity and you've now flushed $27 down the drain. Also, products that have plastic like this can often be wrought with defects (think of your elementary school lunchbox), and despite the 14-day defect policy (of which they don't fully detail), I'm not sure how easily you'd realistically be able to get a replacement/refund on the product.

I also can't find any outside info on the founder, Akshaya Krishna.

Take caution nintendolife readers.

Re: Nintendo Direct Confirmed For Tomorrow, 4th September

DLevene17

Here's my simple prediction of smash stuff:
1. Banjo release date revealed
2. 4th fighter revealed/teased possibly with a release date of holiday season
Remember that all 5 fighters need to be out by February 2020. So I'd expect the last fighter to be announced at the end of December/early January.

Anything else Nintendo announces will be awesome and unexpected and I can't wait to see what they have in store for us!

Here's my 2 dreams:
1. I don't yet own a Switch since I've been holding out for specific things. Lately I've been tempted to buy one but I've been waiting for the possibility of a Luigi's mansion bundle with the game and green joycons (ever since the green joycons were put on bestbuy I've been hoping). And Luigi's Mansion 3 is a game that I can see myself enjoying for hours on end.

2. I am dying to play all the Kingdom Hearts games. The problem is that they're fragmented across different devices. At least until the release on PS4 with all of them in one package besides for KH3. The technical specs of the switch can 100% handle every KH game up till KH3 (and aquas mini story), and if they announce the collection coming to Switch I would buy the Switch immediately with zero regrets. Kingdom Hearts games are outstanding for handheld play and as of yet most of the games have not been available in this format. I don't expect KH3 to come to this version of the switch because it requires lots of power and would take a ton of developer optimization. I don't think the developers would go through with that unless there is some huge deal made between Nintendo and SE like getting Sora in smash (my one true hope). But I highly doubt such a thing would happen because of the limitations of Disney being a huge KH partner.

Re: Rumour: A Sequel To Detective Pikachu Is Already In Development

DLevene17

Oh god I hope this rumor about Uziel being the writer is false.
Like seriously, have the people at Legendary not seen the sonic trailer yet with it’s awful one-liners and inappropriate jokes about child kidnapping?

Good thing it’s still early days and they can find another writer. Here’s to hoping that is was merely a delayed rumor and in reality Uziel is already off the project.

Re: Smash Ultimate Version 3.0.0 Coming This Spring, Joker Will Arrive By April

DLevene17

Joker's potential looks really cool. But we haven't actually seen any gameplay which is disappointing. (Also really disappointed that nothing KH related was announced at all).

On the bright side, the fact that no Joker gameplay was shown means that we are practically guaranteed to have a first party Nintendo Direct to show off more footage. Like Luigi's Mansion 3 and Metroid Prime, etc.

Re: Nintendo Direct To Air Tomorrow, Wednesday 13th February

DLevene17

Here's a list of what I want to see tomorrow:
1) KH3 coming to the Switch
2) KH A Story So Far coming to the Switch
3) Sora in Smash Ultimate reveal
4) Joker gameplay in Smash Ultimate and release timeframe
5) Luigi's Mansion 3 gameplay and release timeframe
6) A new Donkey Kong Country for the Switch

It's an ambitious list and we'd be lucky to see any of this. I don't own a Switch yet but if KH3 and KH A Story So Far are announced to be ported to the Switch in the future I would immediately go to Nintendo NY and buy one. Fingers crossed.

Re: Rumour: Next DLC Fighter For Smash Bros. Ultimate Seemingly Teased By Game Supervisor

DLevene17

I don't care what all the naysayers say about Sora not being in smash. Until the very last fighter is revealed I will hold onto my hope that Square will do it.
Can you imagine the hype if during a Nintendo direct tetsuya nomura announces that kh a story so far and kh3 will be coming to switch? And then during the final few seconds they show Sora opening a letter in a bottle and it's a smash invitation. I would order a Switch IMMEDIATELY. The hype would be insane and would make so much money for both Nintendo and Square.
