Am I the only one who noticed the fact that a dev for a cute 'em up where you play as a buddhist monk chants his way past demons and demi-gods, is asking for donations in order to further his endeavours?
Of course. Because you guys are too busy being salty to eachother. Jesus Christ, guys, take some cues from the Golden Buddha and learn to Zen.
@GraveLordXD Oh yeah, I caught that. I was just pointing out exactly how bad "not holding your hand" can be, since I feel like it adds some important context here. Getting a little lost in an adventure game is hardly a problem, so long as the game doesn't actively punish you for experimenting the way Another World does. Seriously, I can't think of another game that literally does not even give you a moment to breath, while still being as complicated and cumbersome as it is.
$10 isn't the worst I've seen, but I'll agree that the "this is free to play- psych!" type of thing is really obnoxious. I've encountered it more than a few times on mobile devices, and I really wish they'd be forthright with the pricing. You're allowed to have a demo version of the App Store, yet they instead try to reel in customers with promises of free candy like some creep with an unmarked van.
And yet the only reason it gets a free pass is because everyone else on the App Store has committed far worse sins, save for the few who treat the service like a regular marketplace. They're the martyrs!
I thought about adding something to make it more obvious, but I just don't like the new smileys we've had since the redesign. They're weird looking. Granted, I've looked online for replacements, and...they're far from the worst that they could've chosen, but that still doesn't mean I like the look of 'em.
@ThanosReXXX - That last one was a joke. How did not get that? No offense, but you've been taking this entire conversation way too seriously. This entire thing started as a dry joke, though I was in abysmal mood yesterday (and I got 4 other threads to prove it, 2 of which are on another website), so at least half of what I said before was random spite. Sorry 'bout that, I just didn't know how to react when someone took it seriously, so I vented.
@ThanosReXXX - Are you insinuating that hating Youtube video creators is a waste of time? How else are they supposed to know that they're doing a terrible job, and should go back to flipping burgers like normal, honest human being? And that way, my Wendy's will be properly staffed, and I'll never again have to wait 40 minutes for a Double Quarter-Pounder and a Milkshake.
@ThanosReXXX - "...Was Rime an elaborate scam?" is not an honest question. It's just provocative language that already takes a judgmental stance before the evidence has been laid out. It's the kind of thing a lawyer would say at the beginning of a televised trial. I don't know what he intended to say, I already know that I don't trust him to present it in a balanced way. If that's not what he intended, then he's an idiot for mimicking the provocative thumbnails and mainstream tabloids, and I have no reason to listen to his lecture like as if he's some kind of expert or something.
...Yeah, I've had a lot of time to think about why I hate everyone on Youtube. That video blocker couldn't have come at a better time.
@ThanosReXXX It is, but I'm installing that thing anyways. Thanks a bunch! It only works when I'm signed in, anyways (which only happens if I checked me email around that time. I don't trust Google enough to stay signed in all the time).
Also, I don't want to watch that video. I said "It wanted me to watch it," as in it was using the cheap techniques to get a rise out of the view before they've even watched the video. If you're gonna make a point that you want others to understand, going out of your way to ensure the viewers already have an opinion of what you're about to say is counterintuitive to the n-th degree.
But again, I've seen worse, and it's gotten to the point where I can't even get mad anymore (unless I get another recommended video where a dog girl is exposing her titties, while the title insinuates that furry waifus are to be discussed therein. Then I might fly off the handle completely). Now I just sit back and wonder what the world would be like if they put that kind of energy towards something astrophysics, carpentry, business management, electro-therapy, or plumbing? I mean, my god, it probably wouldn't have been so hard for me to find movers if some of those guys got out every once in a while - some of them have builds that insinuate that they'd be jacked if they actually moved their bodies more than a few inches at a time!
@ThanosReXXX - I was just pointing out the thumbnail. Now that Youtube gives me the option to take stupid videos out of my recommendations list, and even reporting offensive content with relative ease, I've been paying a lot more attention to them.
And you know what? I've come to realize that 99.9% of youtube thumbnails are absoluting insulting in one way or another...
Thank you for all that salt. I'm sure it'll go well with the gaping hole in my chest that Soul Calibur used to fill...then again, Bamco was the one who made that hole back in 2012 with Soul Calibur V...
That's neat to know I can keep my options open, since I was really looking forward to it. Unless it continues to take forever in development, though, I'll probably get it for the PS4, anyways.
@GraveLordXD The Another World comparison sounds good. Granted, Another World was horribly sadistic, and I felt like every opportunity to be great was quandered by its insistance for absolute perfection through mindless repetition, complete with nonsensicle puzzles that were clearly designed by a madman, who went insane while trying to play Shadow Gate, Super Metroid, and King's Quest at the same time.
Just sayin', history has lawded worse than what's apparently on offer here. I think I'll take it, if the price is right.
Just to note: the news page on Yacht Club's website doesn't specify that it's still a free update. I'm not saying it won't be, but I am a bit worried, if only because I don't like spending extra moolah if I don't have to. :T
Yeah, cuz...you know...you never know when you'll find a mouse in your home, and you're all like, "hey, instead of eating my food and spreading pestilence, maybe I could interest you in some Tetris, instead?"
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Hah! I caught that, too. That was probably a mistake...right? I didn't travel back in time to September, did I? Do I need to play the song?
@UK-Nintendo Well, the Neogaf thread said it required the ISOs on a separate SD card. If that's no longer the case, then I still don't give a toss. Also, learn to edit your comments so I don't have to X-out 4 different notifications from my dashboard.
So Long story short: you can't do it without modifying your Wii U and pirating the ISOs, after reading through the content that we've repeatedly been told to "Google". @UK-Nintendo I'll concede that it is possible to play Gamecube games on the Wii U, just like how it is possible to eat a full 3-course meal at 3 a.m. by breaking into a convenience store and using their microwave. I certainly don't condone it, and I sure as hell don't respect you for endorsing it, especially your first post on this little tangent.
Yes, because Supported =/= running properly or utilizing all features available on the original tech. I've seen it with the DC and Xbox emulation communities. Hell, I can barely even find any info outside of "how to do it" youtube videos and Neogaf thread, which was as fun to read as most neogaf threads...as in it was horribly unhelpful...
And that's on top of the lack of memory card and accesories support, as well as only tentative use of the Gamecube adapter.
I mean, yes, you can Jailbreak your system and make it do things it wasn't supposed to if you really want to. That goes for almost any electornic device with rewritable storage capacities. From what I've seen of the results, however, I don't feel that its wise to be telling people to sell what they already own in favor of some community-made hack that is aggressively disincentives by Nintendo, especially when that community could just as easily stop working on it tomorrow, and the only thing they'd lose is their collective personal pride, and wasted however many hours they each put into it.
EA? Being Honest? I'm impressed. Hopefully whatever game(s) they put out on there performs well enough, if only because I'd rather cautiousness be rewarded rather than the recklessness people here seem to demand from them...
Loved the original, sad than none of the other entries in the series could really measure up (a few were still okay, mind you). I like the look of this, and Inti Creates is at their best when they work with 2D art, so...bring it on!
I like their enthusiasm, but the screen's too zoomed out for my tastes. Especially considering the size of the Gamepad's screen, I can't image being able to see anything when using off-TV play, looking at those videos.
I guess it's important for Multiplayer, but if they're already offering the option for screen scaling, I should hope they're considering some manual screen size options as well.
"Double Cross" indeed...though I guess I should've known, since we got the first version for once. Damn. Well, at least I got the game that goes with my New 3DS faceplate...
@ThanosReXXX Yup! I guess Nintendo's getting a better idea of what the devs need to get on board with their platform, which is quite an improvement over the Wii U. Hopefully this is a good sign. I'd like the NX Switch (Gonna take me a bit to get used to that) to work out, if only because it seems like an attractive system on its own.
...Not really much of a "confirmed" list, but hey, at least there's Skyrim! I was just thinking about it today. Hopefully the Remastered version doesn't have quite as many kinks in it as...practically every other Bethesda game released since Morrowind...
So, with this, there are now two Wii U retail games that I'm looking forward to!...except I've already played this one. And the other is similar, but probably bigger and better. But it also might come out on the NX, which could be an Orange Juicer for all we know...

So...the dock has an additional fan, and it gets an overall power boost in order to allow for/improve 1080p output?

Not being locked to a single dock sounds like an interesting tidbit, if true, though.
