Lonely Mountain is game of the month for me - such a fun rush. Either a relaxing chilled out ride of taking it slow to get few enough crashes - or an intense high speed platformer if going for the quick times
I’ve got SMB2 on Switch and have really enjoyed it! Love playing a full 9 innings game and the ups and downs that brings with pitchers getting tired etc.
Is there really any compelling reason I should splash the cash on this? Or is it not that different to what I already have and enjoy?
People saying this is a game mechanic they are using - umm no it’s not cos you have to go outside the game into system settings to exploit it. It’s cheating, which is fine - I used to cheat all the time on GTA games - but don’t kid yourself that it’s anything but cheating.
@ThanosReXXX You can get the Twilight Princess Picross game for free with Platinum points if you don't already have it. That's the only one I know if though.
@playstation_king I think it is primarily single player but there seems to be a coop mode as a side feature - unlike say Stretchers which was entirely coop
I don’t have anyone to play with so need single player!
@Pirlo_ze_sniper ha ha does that happen? I’ve been playing on classic mode but using the time turner to ensure I don’t lose anyone. I guess you could think of them as severely injured so they can no longer go to battle
End of the weekend and I only just started playing King of Cards after listening to the latest Nintendo Power podcast. Enjoying it so far - reminds me more of the original Shovel Knight campaign (which was my favourite) rather than Spectre and Plague which I didn’t enjoy as much
@HalBailman this isn’t like an Ubisoft or Capcom game where they overprice the listing so they can then reduce by 50% or more and still make a tidy profit.
Cuphead is one of the few games prices at a very reasonable value to start with (similar to Hollow Knight) so don’t think it will ever be 70% off and not should you need to.
If it helps, you could imagine they overpriced the listing initially at $49.99 and now it is 70% off marked down to $14.99! Bargain!
@CaPPa last time I tried to get the free captitan toad trial from the Japanese website - it let me download it but as my online subscription was tied to my UK account I couldn’t play it.
That contrasts with the Japanese NES and SNES apps as you can play those with any worldwide account that has online attached )although need a Japanese account to download)
@Kienda @Northwind I sent two left joycons off one at a time and found it was turned around quite quick - maybe it was more efficient because I just sent the left ones.
There is a question on the form you have to fill in to get sent a post label that asks when you purchased the joycon. However you can tick a box to state I do not know this which seems to get round the warranty point.
Baba is You came out in March not May - you just inexplicably didn’t review it for 2 months and left it off your March eshop selects article (not even an honourable mention)
@Balta666 @Iacobus technically true but is that important? It’s pretty pedantic to point out. Like people on New Year’s Eve In 1999 telling people that it wasn’t a big deal that the first digit of the year is changing for the first time in a millennium.
If decade reflections bother you then just think of this as the best of the period from 1 January to 2010 to 31 December 2019 (which just happens to be a decade long!)
Note to the editor: if you are going to just copy and paste the conclusion from each game’s reviews into this list - the please try to be a bit more descriptive of what type of game it is in those conclusions. Some of the more obscure games on this list I had to look up to see if it was my type of game or not!
Played this game on fixed beat mode and had a blast - thoroughly recommend that to those that aren’t into rhythm games but want to check out this fun Zelda game with awesome music!
Highly recommend Super Mega Baseball as an alternative on Switch. Great gameplay and if you don’t know any particular players in any case then you are not really missing out on the official tie ins.
I was another one who deleted this from my console - got it partly cos it reminded me of Micro Machines and partly because of the probably too generous review from this website. Had fun for a couple of hours maybe but it gets boring pretty soon.

@AtlanteanMan I like your idea number 7. Would be good to stay in touch with those who have left. Gone but not forgotten.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 15th)
Just finished Edelgard’s route in FETH and also been continuing my King of Cards campaign. Think this is the best one in Shovel Knight TT!

Re: Feature: Best Switch Sports Games
Super Mega Baseball 2 is super mega awesome! Brilliant difficulty levelling built around an “ego” mechanic to take it from dead simple to technical.
Golf Story is great too - can’t wait for Sports Story!
The microtransactions based games aren’t best suited to a Nintendo platform
