@BensonUii Yeah in that case it's not very easy. I see most on amazon.it are overpriced as well. I did find a white new 3ds NOT XL for only 129€ there though, and the nice thing about that is that you can change the backplates above and below. I guess those are mostly your options unless you are able to go for a new 2ds xl which is in stock mostly everywhere. I personally like the black/turquoise even if I have a black N3DS.
I've only played through EO 1 on the DS but I really enjoyed it and it stands as one of my greatest on the system. Looking to get back into the series with a friend but not sure which one to start with. Maybe I'll just go for this since it's the newest one, and it's like a greatest hits game.
As a side note I hope it's possible to disable vo if it's only in japanese since my friend isn't really a fan of it...
@Racthet916 I agree that it would be nice, I'm just trying to consider the way Nintendo has done things in the past. I agree that the jump in presentation from MK Wii to MK 8 was way bigger than MK8 to MK8 Deluxe, and it would be nice to see something of the same improvement there.
I don't see any need for a Mario Kart 9 really. No Nintendo console has ever had more than one Mario Kart made for it. Plus there's no reason to divide the online playerbase between two games.
Luckily when you're gonna watch netflix from your switch and your kid is playing on it in his room, you'll still have netflix available on your smart tv.
Super Mario 3D World is the biggest game to port to the Switch and Nintendo would be stupid not to do it. My assumption is that Nintendo is waiting for the right moment to port it, cuz they already have a hot Mario game on the system, albeit a singleplayer one.
@Jeronan You make good examples, however Pokemon works towards my argument because it isn't called Pokemon 7, but actually Pokemon Sun/Moon, and that is also why I made that comparison for those similar style games.
As for the other examples, I agree, even for games that have continuous stories there will be people who for different reasons haven't played the previous games (who has played elder scrolls arena, am I right?), Like one of my friends who loves Halo 4 and it was his first game in the series.
My counterargument is that if Yo-kai watch wants to gain popularity it should not make people think they have to have played the previous games in the series in order to enjoy the game. Why do you think they decided to call it Monster Hunter World and not MH5? Here's a quote from the main producer of MHW on the choice of name: "Monster Hunter 5 implies [the existence of] Monster Hunters 1 to 4 and people will feel a certain kind of pressure to catch up on the existing games,”
Basically, if you know that your game will be selling well no matter what (like when you name your game Super Mario Galaxy 2 or it is a famous franchise to begin with like COD 15 Black Ops IIII), you don't have to worry about the name as much.
Other examples are how they chose to call it Final Fantasy 3 over here when it was really the sixth game.
I guess to sum it up, some games manage to sell well with new players to the franchise, even if they choose to number the games, but those games often come from an already popular and established franchise (ex. Final Fantasy XV), whereas I have the impression that yo-kai watch still hasn't gained the sort of popularity in the west that the devs and publishers expected it to have.
I think they should have called it something that wouldn't drive away new players on switch, instead of yokai watch 4, since the increased switch playerbase could be what the series needs to gain ground.
I would choose the SNES Classic because it emulates PS1 games better if hacked (saw that when compared on youtube) and it's cheaper, AND I won't support Sony's lazy cash grab that is the PS1 Classic. I was genuinely interested in it until all the info on it broke.
Looking at the logos for the different games, I'd say they are from the SNES remakes. It would be nice if these were got an official release in the west since they're one of my favorite because of the controls and sound. It really is a shame the SNES never got these ported over to the west.

I did a quick search in trovaprezzi.it and found that gamestop and unieuro still sells the new 3ds xl in different variants.

Screen is nice. The transparent shell is not to my taste and the neon dpad to me looks tacky as if it came out of Fast & Furious.
