@FlyingDunsparce im assuming whoever the employee who writes the patch notes is either wrote the wrong character name or meant when played with the kamek item
@ChameleonBros I could overlook the issues but they're all so stupid. It would take nothing to allow custom items or even just provide more options for the items. It would take nothing to add in a collectable list to make it more organized to find stuff. It would take nothing to add an option to have costumes under a submenu after you choose a character. It would take nothing to add a place to listen to the music tracks. It would take nothing to add in lap times to time trials.
We've had all these options before, I can't imagine any of it takes much coding at all. It's probably a weird situation where nintendo thinks "they have to play how we want them to play" and it makes the game feel so much smaller than it should
I feel like it's better to compare this game to Flip Wars instead of ARMS after what we've heard. Seems like a nice short experience that'll probably die out after a few months. Still gonna pick it up tho and mess around in it
Not to sound overdramatic but I have fallen off of this game so hard. Not letting us choose no items or custom items, no 200cc, not letting us see lap times in time trials, the worst unlockables ive seen in a long time, stupid online track selection where we are limited to 3 intermission tracks, no music player, no easy way to see where missed collectables are located, a clunky character select and track select screen, an empty feeling battle mode compared to past entries...
It just sucks cause there is so much good about this game. I love being able to drive everywhere, I love the way it feels to race, I love the item system and the track selection we do have, there is just so much bogging it down for me that it makes me not want to play it.
Hope It gets updated to make it more fun but for now I'm probably done with it for now
I normally wouldn’t think this and I disagree when I see most people saying this about other games but… wow this game is really $50?! Unless they add something new such as a level editor or online multiplayer I really don’t see it being worth that price. $30 seems about right to me (maybe even 40) but $50 for a gba remake that (for all we know currently) has only added a local co-op mode seems a bit much. The game still looks really fun and I am considering picking it up but I may have to wait for a sale
I also just realized this means we will most likely never get this game on NSO which sucks since I love the pixel gba art style too
I completely disagree lol. At this point starts to feel more like nintendolife is just giving it an even worse score just due to graphics. Every track (besides maybe mario circuit) is an absolute thrill and some of my new favs in the entire game
I’m playing through this game rn. Easily one of the most fun and engaging experiences I’ve ever had with an rpg. The combat has a nice pace to it with a bunch of fun strategies and concepts I’ve never seen before. Highly suggest it if you’re willing to play a dark game with an amazing story
I actually started tearing up when I saw the beginning of the video. This game means so much to me and I can only hope one day Nintendo will give us a remake as beautifully made as this.
@Crono1973 non random encounters is a huge one. Battles where you are much stronger than the opponent are automatically won. An auto fight option. And I’m sure there’s even more I can’t think of right now
@QueenKittenWrite I didn’t grow up with the game. I only first played it two years ago and this review is spot on. I don’t know how you think this game has aged poorly as a bunch of the mechanics are things that some RPG series have only just started adding. Easiest 10/10 ever whether you grew up with the game, or only just found out about it a couple years ago like I did
This was one of my favorite games from last year. I found it so creative and inventive and you never knew what was coming next. I can see why people dislike it, but it will stay as one of my favorite games from 2021
It’s a smaller team who made an amazing game with a beautiful message and fun gameplay. It is also incredibly innovative as a co-op based platformer story game.
The game is actually longer than both Metroid and ratchet and clank so saying it’s a small game isn’t really correct.
@FlyingFoxy not all but that’s what anime is typically stereotyped as in the west. Some of the best series are pretty family friendly, Komi, maid sama, and Nichijou are all pretty great and feature hardly any fanservice if any at all.
While the show might get a lot of hate, it’s still one of my favorite times of the year. Being able to talk in the chats on this website and just being hype all week. It’s so fun!
@Lyricana @Bustacap oops sorry. Guess I forgot it didn’t release alongside the announcement in september. That seems like a better schedule Ido hope they add a few more snes titles though
@Anti-Matter they’re honestly very different games. DDR is much more of a rhythm game whereas JD is much more of a basic fitness game. (DDR is better overall tho)
Honestly, this game really improved over the last few. It added a bunch of songs fans were requesting and added an incredible mix of official choreographies for some songs and awesome originals. Also the animation of a bunch of these have greatly improved.
Overall easily the best Just Dance game in a long time.

Re: Metroid Dread In The Running With The Game Awards GOTY Nomination
@Friendly I really think it could be anyone, but RE is my prediction. My vote would probably go to Metroid or Psychonauts though.
12 Minutes should easily win best Indie tho. Knocked my socks off.
And can I just say that Before Your Eyes deserves to win games for impact but probably won't sadly
Re: Metroid Dread In The Running With The Game Awards GOTY Nomination
Honestly probably gonna be between RE and Psychonauts I think
