I kind of wish that the update could have added a button for the new camera angle for non toy-con racing, but oh well. I had a quick laugh trying to play without the cardboard, which to be honest, if you can find anything that can hold the joy-cons together like the toy-con, it will probably still work fine, but just having the joy-cons is obviously not a good control scheme.

You know, as less and less retro tracks become available from the previous games for new Mario Karts, I think that it would be a good idea to take stages like this from other games to fill out the retro roster. Maybe Mario Circuit from Brawl of Fortune Street,or even taking circuits for events from the Mario and Sonic series, just more fun references to other works.

It's a shame about those other four characters from that old datamine, was the game really such a flop for Nintendo that they couldn't put them in? Especially as the game clearly keeps getting balance updates.

Just as long as it has more than Ultra Smash, I think we'll all be ok.

Yes please, at least the characters will be downloadable this time rather than just taken to the arcade, like all the DX characters were.

I want to guess one of Sweets arms based solely on their concept name, I think one of the arms will be the Blorb, but pink, and with the normal changes associated, the thought just came into my mind when I randomly thought of Tart Top, the Mario Kart DS battle stage, and those cream things that spewed pink ink onto a driver when encountered, and they're sweet based and the arm idea is already there, so it clicked with me.

This is all of course a random guess based on the concept, but I want to put it here just in case I'm right.

When I saw the headline, I thought that it would maybe entail three characters at most, but nine, wow is this game going to have a long life. Also, I think that "surprise" might be Little Mac because it will be a massive surprise if he gets into the game, and I also really just want to see him in the game.

To me it just looks... ehh, like, I just had a half confused, half disgusted look through the whole trailer. The character designs and the not very varied stages feel uncomfortable to me, even if I don't know why.

Third party games didn't sell on the Wii? Tell that to the 21 out of 104 games to sell more than a million on the console that were third party. Plus, Just dance 2 peaks as the eighteenth best selling on the console, which I think is good for a third party.

As somebody who has only missed a day of this when I was away from the internet (don't mock me, I like badges), I'm quite excited for it to end, for like the last month it's been nothing but Kirby pixels and Pokemon pixels, it's getting dull, I'd probably stop if there weren't the daily badges alongside that weeks focus. I reckon that once the last set is out, it will either be completely shut, which would be stupid as uncompleted sets will then have no way to be complete, keep having the daily set of assorted catchers or somehow have every catcher there's ever been. I also know that there is at least one Animal Crossing catcher that I've never seen, so hopefully that'll appear at some point.

As long as Gold Mario is in a drop down menu from Metal Mario, I think I'll be ok with him.

Just like any other case, it's Nintendos franchise, so I can't blame them for protecting it.

Considering it has less games than base game Mario Kart 8 has chaaracters, I certainly don't think it's worth £34.

@wombatkidd That was one of the most shockingly false wage gap reports I've ever seen, the participants are in different industries that could pay more or less, as well as being from different countries that could have different wages, the author also assumes that women are prevented somehow from these positions, proving at least the authors SJW credit, there are also several suggested articles on the site, one of which is complaining about a lack of female CEOs, a non-existant problem with a ridiculously hypocritical "solution". If you account for all factors, with the exact same worked hours, the gap lowers to 2-7%, easily put down to men's willingness to negotiate, not women being unable to, but men wanting to. Also, I read that whole article, before you ram that "Women in that report in the same job make 80-90%" Women are shown to take more holidays and more sick days, and those days, surprisingly mean less money.

@wombatkidd Thank you for clearing up your lack of knowledge on the American legal system as it is illegal to pay a woman less, and they aren't paid less for the same job, the 79 cents statistic comes from all jobs of all walks of life, and women choose lesser paid jobs and I'm pretty sure that if women were just generally paid less they would be the only people hired for companies because they could get away with being paid less. Please take your SJW anti-facts somewhere else.

I love how the balloon battle modes rules have gone back to Mario Kart Wii and 7's set, which weren't very liked, but no-one cares because there are now regular battle maps.

My team will consist of all the cute characters: Bowser, Bowser Jr, Boo (if you're allowed to have more than two main characters) Koopa Troopa, Paratroopa, Spike, Shy Guy, Fire Bro and Boom Boom. I don't care if they're the worst with their stats, I just think they're cute.

Who else saw GCN Luigi's Mansion in there as a battle track. Also, right now there are four confirmed new characters of course, Dry Bones, Bowser Jr, King Boo and the Inkling, since they are most likely to add a column of new characters, I wouldn't be surprised if Birdo and Diddy Kong are announced down the line.

I entered the last one, and a few minutes before it finished, 2 people with the same last name and very very similar user names jumped in and stole it, also the "winner's" account was only used for competitions and the version they used on the winner tweet wasn't clickable, so it's harder to prove it even exists, so I'm not entering this little publicity stunt again.
