Coincidentally sent my Joy-Cosn yesterday for repair. It started a week ago very lightly, but last week my games became unplayable. It's a huge flaw on the greatness of the Switch.

With a review as destructive as this, I would've expected a 1/10. "Some puzzles basically tolerable" is enough for 2 stars.

Huge Smash-Bros fan and every character-anouncement is a little party for me.

But I can't really feel sorry here. Everyone is responsible for his own health and (in my opninion) should prioritize this. I'm tired of the countless messages online on every Smash Bros post "from the fans" that poor Sakurai should get a rest. It is not our fault and not our responsibility. Let alone, "Sakurai" is not a one-man-show, he is part of team and I think not everyone understands this when we receive any kind of news about the Smash Bros series.

I don't know guys - We have seen such news items before "Mr/Mrs X from Company Y would love to see his character in Smash Bros" and so far they got in: Banjo & Kazooie, Cuphead, Shovel Knight, Hero..

Personally I wouldn't pick Scorpion if I were a Smash Decision-Maker, as Scorpion is too imaged with the gore. But yeah, Liu Kang or Sub-Zero definitely makes a lot of sense. Franchise originates from games and it definitely had his reps on Nintendo-systems.

I'm not surprised if a MK rep is part of DLC pack 2

Not expecting too much support for my fave, but if there is one Pokemon I have always counted on - it's Gastrodon!

Rarely have I been so excited about artstyle. I absolutely love how this looks! Didn't play the demo yet - not sure if it will fit my playtime amongst all other pending games for Switch.

Agree with the commentors above. Reading this review is frustrating. Hardly find any objective opinion here, giving the game a chance to stand in its own spotlight. Definitely not used to seeing a review of this quality on this website and I hope I don't have to get used to it

@sanderev Years of character development has turned many traditional villains into good guys or "anti-hero" or loners etc. Wario was introduced as a villain, therefore, for the purpose of this event, I would definitely include him here. Same for DeDeDe and the other arguable ones I elaborate on in the list.

Not seeing a lack of villains, honestly:

• Donkey Kong (yes, that banana-addicted ape is not fooling anyone after Bowser took his job of kidnapping Mario's trophy)
• Dark Samus
• Bowser
• Ganondorf
• Mewtwo (before his revelation)
• Meta Knight (arguable)
• Wario (even staring in his own games he is a power/money hungry iznogood)
• King DeDeDe (really, Kirby is too cute of a game to have villains, count him).
• Wolf (arguable)
• Bowser JR
• Ridley
• King K Rool
• Piranha Plant

That's 10+ right there, excluding Mii Fighters!

What a time to be alive 2019 is, eh? These charades are so frustrating for a consumer. What's the battle-plan now, how to defend ourselves from such?

Hate to become part of the sh*tparade, but the more Game Freak explains their decisions, the less they convince me. My anticipation for S&S is decreasing and I can not believe we have heard 0 about "Town" since the tease in 2018.

But yeah, MS keeps firing game after game. I cant help but painfully remember Nintendo's E3 last year (as a huge smash-fan saying this).

A solid update with quality free content! Really excited to see what they anticipate with the upgraded stage builder. Finally we can add some depth into our creations, going beyond standard layouts!

Not too excited about Joker. Though always more than appreciated to have more unique characters to choose from, but seeing I have 0 affinity with him or his games, and his gameplay doesn't baffle me, I don't think I'll use him much.

Can't argue that Melee is one of the best competitive games out there, given a record of nearly 20 years respected presence in esports. Due to its age, we should not be surprised anymore that tactics like this are merely possible (and encouraged due to possible combo's from some characters).

@sanderev the fun of MK for me was to build up the fight to the moment you win and can celebrate your victory with a brutal fatality to humilate your opponent further. Now the fight itself is like one long fatality...

Used to enjoy MK games a lot, but all these bone-breaking, organ-piercing attacks, after which the characters continue the fight like "it's just a flesh-wound", is such an overkill to me. Takes the joy out of the game imo
