Wanted to play something i've never played, yet nostalgic and something i could have gotten for christmas when i was a kid. So i started to play the ps1 version of Gex 2 on mister fpga. Really like it so far. Beat the first one on switch a few weeks ago.
Right now i'm almost finished with Schim, a fun, small game where you're jumping from shadow to shadow kinda like a squid in Splatoon.
Been sick with the flu since tuesday and when i'm feeling well enough to play something it's mostly been Octopath Traveler Zero and Once upon a Katamari.
Yesterday i randomly decided to play through Gremlins 2 on nes which was great. Never watched the movies before but watched 1 last night and probably the sequel tonight.
I feel the need to play more 8 or 16 bit games so i think it's time to finally play wacky races on nes or 007 james bond on game boy
Currently trying to wrap up the last few levels in Nintendo world championships on Switch. Been enjoying it much more than i expected when i got a physical copy on sale recently.
Still playing Prime 4 and Octopath 0. Will probably beat Prime next week. Thinking which metroidvania i'll play afterwards. Either continue my Silksong playthrough (been on hold since october) or start Laika.
I'll also try to get some more time in Stray Children which is a spiritual sequel to Moon, which inspired Undertale, which inspired Stray Children. The pacifist style of combat is interesting but feels too slow and tedious compared to Undertale but is still fun so far.
I've also been playing Yakuza 0 on and off last couple of months. It's my first Yakuza game and i don't quite know how i feel about it. I love the world and the humour but on the other hand the gameplay and combat put's me to sleep. I'm gonna give it more time but i don't see myself playing all yakuza games in this style, but i need to try the more RPG ones like "Like a Dragon"
Randomly started to play Moon Remix RPG 🌛 last week and beat it a few days ago. Loved it! Did some research on it afterwards and found out they released a spiritual sequel just last month! So i'll be playing Stray Children a lot this weekend along with more Hades 2
I'm a few hours into Lunar 1 and will try to beat it before Octopath Traveler 0 releases in december. Played through the prologue demo and i'm really looking forward to it.
Last couple of days i finally got hooked into Hades 2. Played it every once in a while since it released but put it on the side for other games. Things are opening up and incantations brewing.
Currently transfering games to my PS2 HDD so i might also play some Chulip or Conflict Desert Storm
Just was at a record fair. Didn't find any game soundtracks unfortunately but got a couple james bond soundtracks and a judas priest album. Daniel Craig's face is currently spinning around on my record player.
Games wise i picked Dave the diver up again since the S2 update is finally out. Just got Crow Country and Antonblast so i'll probably start one of those this weekend.
Running around Tomb Raider 3's London mazes. When that stresses me out too much i play some Unpacking but i hope to beat TR3 by next week. Just got my physical of 4-6 but need a break inbetween 3 and 4.
On a 3 hour flight in about 10 minutes, which gives me a lot of time to game. Recently picked Eiyuden chronicle up again. Got about halfway through when i played it last summer. Probably a few rounds of Hades as well and maybe Gex 1 since my LRG copy just arrived
Wanted something short after spending 50+ hours in Two Point Hospital before beating it.
Went with The Thing Remastered which is ps2 janky but fun so far.
Might start a replay of ps1 Resident Evil 2. Or maybe see how the n64 version feels. Played it for the first time last year and loved it so i'll do Claire A and Leon B this time.
Mystical Ninja on N64. Been wanting to play that for a while. I'm a couple hours in and i love it. The intro theme song instantly got put on my playlist.
I played a bit of the first snes goemon a few years ago and need to get back to that soon but not until i'm done with this one and maybe Bakeru on Switch
I will get to the obvious but for now i'm absolutely hooked on Loco Moto.
Wanted to play something relaxing in tandem with Silksong but so far i've only played 15 minutes of that and probably 10 hours last couple of days being the best train conductor there is 🚂
Now that i'm finished with both Death Stranding 2 and Romancing Saga 2 remake i can finally get back into Donkey Kong Bananza. I'm taking my time with it. Not completing everything as i go through but still collecting a big bunch of bananas along the way.
I'll try to play some Toree Saturn as well. Love the plot so far after a couple levels 🍨🐤
Continuing my playthrough of Romancing saga 2 remastered now that the upgrade released. Started it a couple months before switch 2 released and i'm so happy i put it on hold. It plays so much better now.
@silver-crescent when i play Eiyuden chronicle on switch 2 the framerate's high only in the menus and map. When i exit those the fps stays high for maybe a second then it slows down. It's the same on all performance modes. Is it the same in your experience? I remember this being a bug they supposedly patched last year.
Hopefully beat both "Pipistrello and the cursed yoyo" and "Resident Evil 6" co-op this weekend.
Been starting way too many different games lately so i'll need to focus on these. Afterwards i'll get back to Fantasy Life, Death Stranding 2 and Metal Slug Tactics
Will try to finish Wonder boy: Asha in monsterworld remake. Plays great on switch 2. Played the original a couple of years ago and while the remake isn't on level with "monster boy" and "dragons trap remake" it's still fun.
Ripping my hair out trying to win all the knockout tours in mario kart on 150cc
I've mostly been in test mode to see what games run better on Switch 2.
Games like Wonder boy: asha in monsterworld remake, Metal Max xeno Reborn and Caravan Sandwich finally run good since they're uncapped. Glad i put them on hold til' now
Somehow Deadly premonition 2 still runs terrible ❤️ Cassette beasts plays but is basically broken. Chugs a lot.
Trying to beat Rise of the Third Power as my last game before switch 2 arrives.
Beat Wings of Endless yesterday which was a really fun metroidvania, although a bit unbalanced.
I'm having a hard time liking Doom The Dark Ages but will continue in case it get's fun eventually. I'm only at level 5 or 6 but i remember having more fun with every other Doom game including 3
Cable management the game. Rearranging my setup, and with 10 consoles, an upscaler and a couple hdmi switches it becomes a nightmare. Once the nightmare ends i'll celebrate with some Romancing Saga 2 remake
Been playing Wings of Endless that just released. A really solid metroidvania with swappable characters and great pixel art. Feels like i'm about halfway through and i'm really liking it so far.
Points for being able to customize the owl that follows you around
Generally i enjoyed the first more than this one. A bit too much water and combat which was especially annoying in the early levels with a limited arsenal. Once you get dual Uzi's and a grenade launcher however, it's fine.
Still playing through Outer Wilds and Ara Fell, and while Angler Fish and Vampires are scary i needed something more. So i'm starting Silent Hill 3 tonight. I really need to upgrade my PS2's fan. Sounds like a spaceship taking off
Been playing the fan translation of Ni No Kuni 1 on DS. Wrath of the White Witch is one of my favorite jrpg's and it's been interesting to see the differences between the two. Just got the Gladion/Mornstar.
Close-ish to beating Anno: Mutationem.
I don't like the beatemup combat but the world, graphics and story are interesting enough for me to finish it since it's not that long.
I'll also play a bit more of Oddworld 1 and Metal Gear VR missions.
Later some co-op with Bite the Bullet and/or some Contra games.
(Maybe) Finishing up Revita and Silent Hill 2 remake. Revita is a really basic but fun roguelite.
I'm about 3/4 through SH2R and loving it. Playing that with surround sound and true blacks on my OLED tv is just horrifying.
The melee and dodging feels a bit too much like calisto protocol but thankfully much better.
Played the original ps2 version for the first time last year and it's impressive how good the remake is although both are very much worth playing through.
Started playing Silent Hill 2 remake and will play Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee. Beat Strangers Wrath a few months ago and decided to try to play all oddworld games this year including the originals and remakes. Also might play some Gravity Circuit

Getting close to beating The Pedestrian. My brain is melted. Great puzzle platformer.
Still playing Hades 2 and just bought PVZ Replanted.

Very close to beating both Buddy Simulator 1984 and Ball x Pit.
Buddy is a scary computer and really makes me feel bad for ignoring their directions.
Afterwards i'll continue with Tomb Raider 3 and Hades 2

Halfway through Rime so i'll probably beat that. Also close to finally beating Doom The Dark Ages.
Got a physical copy of Monkey ball banana rumble for a good price so i might finally play that too
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (16th August)
A few hours into Terra Memoria right now. It's pretty fun and not than long apparently.
I'm also getting close to the end of DK Bananza. I want to beat it this weekend and leave postgame and maybe completing everything for the future.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (19th July)
Besides DK, which is just amazing i might beat #Blud. A cool top down zelda-like in the style of a 2000's cartoon network style.
Still delivering packages in Death Stranding. Think i'm about halfway through
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (12th July)
Finishing up Kao the Kangaroo and probably start Soul Reaver 1 after my copy arrived yesterday.
Maybe a couple levels of Doom The Dark Ages. Last time i played i started to skip the cutscenes since they're not interesting at all.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (5th July)

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (28th June)
Gonna be a lot of working in Fantasy Life i and Death Stranding 2 which is weird because i'm on holiday

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (14th June)
Got my copy of Pipistrello and the cursed yoyo. A really fun gba inspired zelda-like.
I've also been playing a bit monster hunter stories 2 now that it's not a choppy mess with the power of switch 2.
Thinking about replaying Metal Gear 2 (not solid).
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition (7th June)

Re: Random: This Switch-Compatible Pad Has Hall Effect Triggers, TMR Sticks & A Very Cool Button-Transforming Trick
@cvrator It registers diagonals when it feels like but you can also change to cardinal directions only in software
Re: Random: This Switch-Compatible Pad Has Hall Effect Triggers, TMR Sticks & A Very Cool Button-Transforming Trick
I've been using this for a few months now and mostly enjoy it. My only complaint is that the dpad don't like diagonals apparently.
If 8bitdo make a new Pro model with the tarantula's lockable hair-triggers and back buttons i would be very happy
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (24th May)
(Original) Game boy version of Zelda: Link's Awakening on my analogue pocket in beautiful DMG green.
Will also play the new Duck Detective game. Loved the first one.
Then finally start Doom: The Dark Ages. Wanted to beat the new Commandos game first which i did a couple days ago.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (17th May)
Cable management the game. Rearranging my setup, and with 10 consoles, an upscaler and a couple hdmi switches it becomes a nightmare.

Fuga Melodies of steel 1, Creature in the Well, Commandos Origins and maybe Croc 2

Finishing up Tomb Raider 2 right now.
Generally i enjoyed the first more than this one. A bit too much water and combat which was especially annoying in the early levels with a limited arsenal. Once you get dual Uzi's and a grenade launcher however, it's fine.
Blowing up sharks with grenades is amazing
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (19th April)
Tomb Raider 2 and Oddworld Abe's Exoddus.
Lara's death-scream is gonna haunt my dreams because i can't stop falling
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (12th April)
Double shifts at work so will sprinkle in some Sparklite, Rise of the third power and Suika game in between when possible.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (5th April)
Still playing through Outer Wilds and Ara Fell, and while Angler Fish and Vampires are scary i needed something more. So i'm starting Silent Hill 3 tonight.
I really need to upgrade my PS2's fan. Sounds like a spaceship taking off
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (29th March)
Outer Wilds, Ara Fell, Tiny Thor and maybe Doom Eternal.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (22nd March)
Been playing the fan translation of Ni No Kuni 1 on DS. Wrath of the White Witch is one of my favorite jrpg's and it's been interesting to see the differences between the two. Just got the Gladion/Mornstar.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (15th March)
Finish up Topdee and Todee, maybe some Dave the diver and Momodora
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (8th March)
Crash Bandicoot 3, Oddworld 1, Aladdin SNES, Inked: a tale of Love, Dave the Diver and maybe Kirby Forgotten Land
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (1st March)
Halfway through Dusk so will probably finish that this weekend. Beat Dusk 82' a couple of days ago which was surprisingly fun.
Started Kirby and the forgotten land to relax in between Dusk Sessions
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (22nd February)
Cyber Shadow, Mega Man X Command Mission and Gerda: a flame in winter
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (15th February)
Beat Unsighted last night and just wow. That was amazing! Definitively one of my favorites from 2021 along with Eastward, SMT V and Metroid Dread.
This weekend i'll play more of Afterimage, Conscript and Crypt of the Necrodancer
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (8th February)
Unsighted has been in the backlog for too long so i just started that journey. I'll also continue with Conscript
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (1st February)
Lisa the Painful and Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee. It's gonna be a weird weekend
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (25th January)
Close-ish to beating Anno: Mutationem.
I don't like the beatemup combat but the world, graphics and story are interesting enough for me to finish it since it's not that long.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (11th January)
Started playing Silent Hill 2 remake and will play Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee.
Beat Strangers Wrath a few months ago and decided to try to play all oddworld games this year including the originals and remakes.
Also might play some Gravity Circuit
