Mina the hollower, grapple dogs and might start Final Fantasy 8 when i go on holiday next week.
I did play a bit of Mario and Luigi Brothership but it got too boring for me so i bailed on that. Had the same problem with Dream team when that released. Only ever tried those two.
Love the traditional turn based paper mario's but M&L is something else. Maybe i should start with the first one on my Analogue pocket and see if that keeps me interested.
@TYRANACLES I spent A LOT of time in Nightfire's multiplayer. I replayed the single player a couple of years ago and i think it really holds up. Sadly Everything or Nothing, while fun, don't hold up as much. Beat it last night.
I had Goldeneye Rogue Agent as a kid and while it's not as good as the other ones in that generation it's fun.
Getting ready for First Light by replaying 007 Everything or nothing. Loved it back in the day. I still really like the regular levels, but all the different driving levels just annoy me so far.
@sketchturner I'm 3 dungeons in so far and i'm enjoying it. Feels like a modern link's awakening but with a bit less polish and the story's not that interesting, at least from what i've played.
I really like the element system where the dungeon item is a new element that are used in classic zelda ways.
Progression is linear but it does not hold your hand, you'll have to find the correct path yourself. You can explore and upgrade health, magic and items.
Recently been replaying both Resident Evil 4 original and remake back to back, chapter to chapter to see which i prefer. It's been really fun seeing how similar yet different they are at times. About halfway through the castle. They're both great but so far i still prefer the pacing and level design of the original.
Will try to beat Planet of Lana 2 this weekend. Started it when it launched and it's been fun but it never hooked me like the first one did.
Litteraly just completed Doki Doki Panic for the first time. Played mario 2 snes version tons of times since childhood and the nes/gba versions a few times but never the original game before now.
Took me a while to adjust to no running in this version. The game forcing you to beat the game with every character was actually pretty fun. You can still use the warp pipes but i played through all levels with all characters.
Mario 2 is an improvement but Doki Doki Panic is still great!
Now i can get back to Planet of Lana 2, DQ 7 and might replay Panzer Paladin with a buddy.
Beat Resident Evil 9 last night and absolutely loved it! Although i'm not sure it will be as replayable as RE 4 original and RE 2 remake, which are my favorites.
Since that's done i can continue my playthroughs of Under the Island, Minishoot Adventures and Planet of Lana 2.
Been in a N64 mood this week. 87 🍌 into DK64 so far playing the Tag anywhere romhack (because i respect my time). Been really enjoying it. Probably won't complete it but i'll get what i feel is enough then finish it.
I've also played bits of other n64 games too know which one to add to my list. So Kirby 64, the bomberman 64 games and goemon's great adventure will be played at a later point.
I remember playing a bit of zelda botw in vr using the Playstation VR 1. Was hoping this would work with the virtual boy games as well but i guess not since it's handheld mode only
Getting close to the end of Dark Deity 2. A good Fire Emblem clone.
At the Labyrinth part of Stray Children. It made my brain melt so i'll return with better focus. The game might have my favorite art style ever competing with Wind Waker and Ufouria The Saga 2.
Beat "Astronite" last night. If you like metroidvanias and "1bit" artstyles like in "Minit" and "Master Key" then play this game. It's great!
I also got my limited run orders yesterday so i'll be playing "Shantae Risky Revolution" finally.
I was planning on playing more of "Dark Deity 2" but i had no idea the paper mario inspired "Escape from ever after" released yesterday. So that will be my rpg for the next week probably.
Been playing a lot of the new Suika game. Love it!
Might beat Monkey Ball Banana Mania this weekend unless it get's too frustrating.
About 50 hours into Octopath Traveler 0. I hope to beat it before DQ 7 Reimagined. Played the demo and really loved it but can't play two looong rpg's at the same time.
Just started Monkey Ball Banana Mania which is always a great time 🐒🌐
Played a fair bit of Fading Afternoon which i really want to enjoy buy just like with Yakuza i just can't bother with the beatemup combat. Seems like they're both great games but not for me.
Been on a ps2 kick this week. Played a bit of Oni and about halfway through GTA Vice City Stories. Really need to upgrade to a better fan. It's so loud! ✈️
Wanted to play something i've never played, yet nostalgic and something i could have gotten for christmas when i was a kid. So i started to play the ps1 version of Gex 2 on mister fpga. Really like it so far. Beat the first one on switch a few weeks ago.
Right now i'm almost finished with Schim, a fun, small game where you're jumping from shadow to shadow kinda like a squid in Splatoon.
Been sick with the flu since tuesday and when i'm feeling well enough to play something it's mostly been Octopath Traveler Zero and Once upon a Katamari.
Yesterday i randomly decided to play through Gremlins 2 on nes which was great. Never watched the movies before but watched 1 last night and probably the sequel tonight.
I feel the need to play more 8 or 16 bit games so i think it's time to finally play wacky races on nes or 007 james bond on game boy
Currently trying to wrap up the last few levels in Nintendo world championships on Switch. Been enjoying it much more than i expected when i got a physical copy on sale recently.
Still playing Prime 4 and Octopath 0. Will probably beat Prime next week. Thinking which metroidvania i'll play afterwards. Either continue my Silksong playthrough (been on hold since october) or start Laika.
I'll also try to get some more time in Stray Children which is a spiritual sequel to Moon, which inspired Undertale, which inspired Stray Children. The pacifist style of combat is interesting but feels too slow and tedious compared to Undertale but is still fun so far.
I've also been playing Yakuza 0 on and off last couple of months. It's my first Yakuza game and i don't quite know how i feel about it. I love the world and the humour but on the other hand the gameplay and combat put's me to sleep. I'm gonna give it more time but i don't see myself playing all yakuza games in this style, but i need to try the more RPG ones like "Like a Dragon"
Randomly started to play Moon Remix RPG 🌛 last week and beat it a few days ago. Loved it! Did some research on it afterwards and found out they released a spiritual sequel just last month! So i'll be playing Stray Children a lot this weekend along with more Hades 2
I'm a few hours into Lunar 1 and will try to beat it before Octopath Traveler 0 releases in december. Played through the prologue demo and i'm really looking forward to it.
Last couple of days i finally got hooked into Hades 2. Played it every once in a while since it released but put it on the side for other games. Things are opening up and incantations brewing.
Currently transfering games to my PS2 HDD so i might also play some Chulip or Conflict Desert Storm
Just was at a record fair. Didn't find any game soundtracks unfortunately but got a couple james bond soundtracks and a judas priest album. Daniel Craig's face is currently spinning around on my record player.
Games wise i picked Dave the diver up again since the S2 update is finally out. Just got Crow Country and Antonblast so i'll probably start one of those this weekend.
Running around Tomb Raider 3's London mazes. When that stresses me out too much i play some Unpacking but i hope to beat TR3 by next week. Just got my physical of 4-6 but need a break inbetween 3 and 4.
On a 3 hour flight in about 10 minutes, which gives me a lot of time to game. Recently picked Eiyuden chronicle up again. Got about halfway through when i played it last summer. Probably a few rounds of Hades as well and maybe Gex 1 since my LRG copy just arrived
Wanted something short after spending 50+ hours in Two Point Hospital before beating it.
Went with The Thing Remastered which is ps2 janky but fun so far.
Might start a replay of ps1 Resident Evil 2. Or maybe see how the n64 version feels. Played it for the first time last year and loved it so i'll do Claire A and Leon B this time.
Mystical Ninja on N64. Been wanting to play that for a while. I'm a couple hours in and i love it. The intro theme song instantly got put on my playlist.
I played a bit of the first snes goemon a few years ago and need to get back to that soon but not until i'm done with this one and maybe Bakeru on Switch
I will get to the obvious but for now i'm absolutely hooked on Loco Moto.
Wanted to play something relaxing in tandem with Silksong but so far i've only played 15 minutes of that and probably 10 hours last couple of days being the best train conductor there is 🚂
Now that i'm finished with both Death Stranding 2 and Romancing Saga 2 remake i can finally get back into Donkey Kong Bananza. I'm taking my time with it. Not completing everything as i go through but still collecting a big bunch of bananas along the way.
I'll try to play some Toree Saturn as well. Love the plot so far after a couple levels 🍨🐤
Continuing my playthrough of Romancing saga 2 remastered now that the upgrade released. Started it a couple months before switch 2 released and i'm so happy i put it on hold. It plays so much better now.

Hopefully beat both "Pipistrello and the cursed yoyo" and "Resident Evil 6" co-op this weekend.
Been starting way too many different games lately so i'll need to focus on these. Afterwards i'll get back to Fantasy Life, Death Stranding 2 and Metal Slug Tactics

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (20th June)
Just beat Mina the Hollower this morning. Fantastic game!
I've been trying to play through Metal Slug Tactics but had to bail on it. Not a bad game (bad switch port) but it's not for me.
Adventures of Elliot is probably next. Really liked the demo.
Re: Talking Point: Starter Pack - What Are Your Nintendo Switch 2 Essentials?
A good grip, screen protector and a good controller (either nintendo pro, 8bitdo pro 3 or ultimate 2)

Mina the hollower, grapple dogs and might start Final Fantasy 8 when i go on holiday next week.

Close to the end of Elementallis. The game get's better the more i play it. Great top down Zelda-like

Day one!
I should be able to beat Elementallis before that

Finally beat DQ7 Reimagined. Overall i enjoyed it but it's definitively the weaker one compared to the others i've played (3 HD2D, 8 and 11).
Decided my next turn based game will be Fuga 2 which i played an hour of a while ago then put on hold for other games.
Kinda burned out with Pokopia, but i'll probably play through it more bitesized. Just started Rocky Ridges
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (28th March)
It's time for either Gex 3 or Ruffy and the Riverside!
Been playing too much DQ 7 reimagined and Pokopia lately and need some 3d platforming.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (21st March)

Re: Mini Review: Escape From Ever After (Switch) - The Closest We've Yet Come To A Brand-New, Old-School Paper Mario
Beat it last weekend. My favorite paper mario without mario in it. I also really liked Bug Fables and enjoyed Born of Bread but this one's better imo.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (7th February)
Getting close to the end of Dark Deity 2. A good Fire Emblem clone.

Beat Shanta Risky Revolution a few days ago and think i'll start Shinobi Art of Vengeance today.
I'm also about halfway through Escape from Ever After. Really enjoying it. Not as much as i loved Bug Fables but a bit more than Born of Bread.
I also can't stop playing Suika Game Planet

Just managed to get the true ending of Octopath Traveler 0 before this work weekend started. These games just get better and better!
Will try to get some suika game planet and dark deity 2 inbetween work.
Re: Feature: Nintendo Switch Year In Review 2025 - Our Most Played Games
Hades 2, Tomb Raider 1-3 remastered collection (played 2 and 3 last year) and Two Point Hospital are my most played. All around 55-60 hours.
Had Octopath Traveler 0 released a couple months earlier it would have crushed my top 3.
Among new switch 1/2 games my favorite is Hades 2, but i think the best game i played last year is either Gravity Circuit or Unsighted
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (10th January)

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (25th October)
Very close to beating both Buddy Simulator 1984 and Ball x Pit.
Buddy is a scary computer and really makes me feel bad for ignoring their directions.
Afterwards i'll continue with Tomb Raider 3 and Hades 2

Double shifts at work but i'll play some Touryst Deluxe and Two Point Hospital whenever i get the chance.

Mystical Ninja on N64. Been wanting to play that for a while. I'm a couple hours in and i love it. The intro theme song instantly got put on my playlist.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (23rd August)
Halfway through Rime so i'll probably beat that. Also close to finally beating Doom The Dark Ages.
Got a physical copy of Monkey ball banana rumble for a good price so i might finally play that too
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (16th August)
A few hours into Terra Memoria right now. It's pretty fun and not than long apparently.
I'm also getting close to the end of DK Bananza. I want to beat it this weekend and leave postgame and maybe completing everything for the future.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (9th August)
Love the plot so far after a couple levels
🍨🐤
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (2nd August)
Continuing my playthrough of Romancing saga 2 remastered now that the upgrade released. Started it a couple months before switch 2 released and i'm so happy i put it on hold. It plays so much better now.
Re: More Switch Games Reportedly Receive Switch 2 Compatibility Fixes
@silver-crescent when i play Eiyuden chronicle on switch 2 the framerate's high only in the menus and map. When i exit those the fps stays high for maybe a second then it slows down.
It's the same on all performance modes.
Is it the same in your experience?
I remember this being a bug they supposedly patched last year.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (19th July)
Besides DK, which is just amazing i might beat #Blud. A cool top down zelda-like in the style of a 2000's cartoon network style.
Still delivering packages in Death Stranding. Think i'm about halfway through
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (12th July)
Finishing up Kao the Kangaroo and probably start Soul Reaver 1 after my copy arrived yesterday.
Maybe a couple levels of Doom The Dark Ages. Last time i played i started to skip the cutscenes since they're not interesting at all.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (5th July)
(28th June)
Gonna be a lot of working in Fantasy Life i and Death Stranding 2 which is weird because i'm on holiday
