@teo_o yeah that’s a good point Nintendo really got greedy by trying to MILK Switch 1 for sooooo long… Switch 2 should had come out sooner before higher cost of living & tariffs factors came into play…. Now Nintendo has launched Switch 2 in the worst market dynamics could derail the success of the console for some time….

So far Switch 2 has sold well but higher inflation and tariffs will now start coming into play lets see how the Switch 2 performs over the next 6 - 8 months

If Switch 2 start to struggle due to a horrible economy, I could see them starting to release what would’ve been Switch 2 exclusive on Switch 1

@Hisui25002 we are going into a deep recession soon.. Switch 2 will struggle massively due to both higher console & game prices. My prediction is that Nintendo will fall back on supporting Switch 1 by porting Switch 2 games to Switch 1 because of Switch 1 huge install base still left or Nintendo will release a home console only version of Switch 2 No dock, no screen, no battery, no Speakers just a simple plug and play to tv Switch 2 allowing for a huge drop in cost to help speed up Switch 2 install base during a deep recession… $300? Maybe

They should had released it on both Switch 1 & Switch 2…
More and more owning a Switch 1 feels like being a second class citizen….

Switch 1 Pro controller is so easy to take apart and fix or mod… clearly Nintendo wants no one modding or fixing the Pro 2….
WOW…. Yeah i”m not buying a Switch 2 Switch OLED is good enough for me.. this is not the Nintendo i grew up with clearly…

I do not mind new DK Switch 2 only… but Mario Kart World should had been both a Switch 1 & 2 release… Switch never got it’s own original Mario Kart game just a port of Wii U Mario Kart 8…

Honestly, they could’ve just released Mario Kart World on Switch 1 without the open world just traditional tracks and have the full open world game experience on Switch 2….

@WheresWaveRace Oblivion remastered is $50….. open world with much more advanced graphical design… also Mario Kart World will get paid DLC….

Would be NICE to get Dreamcast hopefully it’s not locked to only Switch 2… Dreamcast games are very easily able to run on the original Switch..

I don’t understand why Nintendo did not upgrade the OLED switch with 1 or 2 gigs of extra ram just so it could run games at better frame rate and slightly bumped the resolution.. Nintendo updated the 3DS with the New 3DS, that had bumped graphical settings to the point where it had exclusive games that could only run on the New 3DS… Nintendo literally frustrating to be a fan

I’m torn on getting a Switch 2, Nintendo really has changed.
They will probably lock Dreamcast games on NSO behind Swith 2 only even tho Dreamcast games are 100% playable on current Switch..

Honestly the price of the console or games do not bother me but what do bother me is how Nintendo decided to abandon original Switch hardware for backwards compatibility… Switch 2 is just running OG Switch games on a emulation layer….. a lot of original Switch games might not work or have bugs… emulation layer is hit or miss… it’s main reason putting me off to getting a Switch 2

i bought Nier Automata (PS4 game) on PS5 enjoying the game until i got to a section where the game just crashes not allowing you to progress because it’s running emulation backwards compatibility…. Great paid $$$ for a game that does not work currently.. not a fan of emulation backwards compatibility

Years of waiting looking forward to Switch 2 hoping they listen to fans their supporters.. me personally hoping for Themes and new UI design, waiting for Achievements, waiting for a return of Miiverse or Street Pass in some form, waiting for the ability to send messages to others on friends list… waiting for new FZERO
We lost Gold points recently, got $80 games, a paid tech demo, basic paid upgrades for higher resolution and frame rates…
Currently i just got a Switch Lite.. OLED Switch is looking better or i might get a Steam Deck…
