EA Won't Entirely Rule Out Star Wars Battlefront II Coming To Switch

I would love to have Battlefront 2 on Switch. But I would like to know if it's coming so I don't buy it for my X1. But most of all, i'm curious about the Star Wars game that Visceral was working on. I prefer story driven action rpgs before fps shooters.

I haven't honestly liked anything Disney and EA have done with Star Wars. I don't see this game changing that opinion, but a good Star Wars game on the Switch would help...

I am in the apparent minority of people who absolutely loved the Expanded Universe of Star Wars, what Disney now calls Star Wars Legends, and considers non-canon. I grew up playing Star Wars Rogue Squadron 1-3, KOTOR 1 and 2, the original Battlefront games and reading the books by Timothy Zahn, Michael A. Stackpole, and Arron Allston among others. I loved it right up through the Legacy of the Force and the way the books, comics and games interacted. It wasn't perfect, but I loved it, and always dreamed of a SW game set during the Thrawn trilogy or the Yuuzhan Vong War.

If Battlefront 2 came to Switch, I probably would pick it up. But that doesn't mean I expect much from it. I played the first one on PS4 and even buying it used for 20 bucks left me really disappointed. There is hype for the new movies and this new game, but I expect little from EA and Disney owned SW.

After the (entirely predictable) murder of Visceral and the only potential interesting Star Wars game, EA had in development, I cannot in good conscience buy any of their **** anymore.

EA has killed so many great studios over the years, and with it entire beloved franchises, but Visceral (and by extension I assume Dead Space), was the last straw for me.

After the Andromeda fail, and the shift of Bioware to a full-blown open-world-shooter, aka Anthem, they might as well shutter Bioware any day now. Basically, that studio is also gone in all but name.

I understand that none of this happened out of spit or malice, but incompetence and lack of effort is a good enough reason for me to still afford EA a healthy dosage of undiluted hate. After all, they are not just hurting videogames in the abstract, as a culture product, but also the real people behind those games and their families.

EA has proven themselves utterly inept at anything besides wringing blood out of no-brainer licenses like the NFL and Fifa. Hell, they couldn't even make the NBA work, because in that field there is strong competitor available and obviously, that proved to be too much of a challenge right away.

I don't think this will ever happen, well, not when we are talking about EA.

Let's get some examples, Ubisoft already ported their Snowdrop engine and Bathesda already did the same with theirs and 2K ported their most recent sports games to the Switch in full.
They are ahead of the competition and EA (and tbh Capcom) is still with this conversation.

They are clearly waiting for the others to do the "dirty job" (investing money on the platform to drive the sales of it) so that when the Switch is intere$ting, then, only then they (EA) will start to work/port properly.

By the time they think about porting Star Wars II, the 3rd one will be around the corner and nobody will be interested on it anymore.
That is the same with Netherrealm (Injustice 2 and MK XL) and WB games (where is the Arkham series? enough of Lego please).

@Heavyarms55 Yeah well, EA has the Star Wars licence until 2023 if I recall correctly. Unfortunately, that means that all we'll get until then will be more mobile games and more Battlefront games with the occasional announcement and subsequent cancellation of other, potential interesting projects. It's a horrible, horrible shame, absolutely, but as sad as it is, it is also the inevitable truth.

EA has NO clue what to do with the license. At best, expect a Star Wars themed NFS aka Pod-racer game. And even that would be stretching their imagination to the absolute breaking point and beyond. 'Creative bankruptcy' is not even beginning to cover this, and neither is the term 'risk averse'.

Unless EA feels like a new Rogue Squadron or KotoR could sell 10 Mio copies at like $60, plus Season-Pass and some 'optional' MTXs, none of this is going to happen. EA has 0 interest in making even one more videogame. All they want is to be a service provider, that sells you a box ... to get you into their service.

I was looking on the VGchartz site the other day and if I was a developer it'd be a no brainer to bring games to Switch. It's the second best selling console of the year behind PS4 and more than double Xbox's sales. Also when you look at Xbox games sales they are very poor with only one game in the top 20 just above Zelda on the Wii U and some of these are big multiplatform games. Yes some will be downloaded as these aren't included in the charts but every game sells significantly less on that system and Switch has sold 13 million games to Xbox's 19 million with a much smaller market (at the moment at least).

Bethesda have been smart and jumped on board early, this time next year I can see many following suit

EA didn't even think they could get Frostbite running on Switch for FIFA, how are they going to manage it for a 40 player online shooter?

@carlos82 that's a very one-sided way of looking at the situation. The Switch only launched this year - of course it's going to be selling better than X1 month on month. But the fact that, according to your comment, it's still second behind the PS4 is quite worrying indeed.

I would love to see BF2 on Switch, but I'd be very very suprised if it ever actually happened.

All I wanted was a new "Rogue Squadron"... or even the unreleased Wii trilogy. I can't accept a world where Nintendo hardware is without Star Wars games, so whatever EA decides I will probably pick it up.

EA will not want to confuse or overwhelm Nintendo users like with FIFA 16 (sorry 18)
So expect a Battlefront 1 port with less content no campaign but lots of lovely micro tran$actions and loot crates because as with all other devices they are easy to squeeze into the game.

Uh, being a new console doesn't mean anything. First year sales are always less than subsequent years. So month on month, its not a given that it will do more. And the console wasn't released until March, which even the launch can't compensate for that late start.

Basically, new consoles always do worst their first year, then hit their stride in years 2 and 3 with stable performance afterward. The fact it could be above either console is amazing enough, especially since this is PS4's best selling year, yet it's getting outperformed by a new console (Which contrary to fansite gamer belief, new consoles should not be selling more, year one is always the worst)

i do not get the whole reasoning of "if our first crappy game we publish on switch (aka SF2) does not sell well enough, we won't publish interesting games".

As has been mentioned by others the way EA has been behaving and the "features" that they've included in Battlefront 2 I honestly would prefer this didn't come to the Switch.

@carlos82 Unfortunately developing for PS4/XBox together is still easier than including a Switch version. They don't necessarily have to sell more copies on XBox to make more money.

I would love a Star Wars game on Switch, but given that almost all of my Switch playing is done in portable mode and usually without WiFi, I would prefer a game centered around single player.

Weirdly I’m perfectly happy not having all these AAA titles coming to the switch. Especially the newest batch as they seem nothing more than shell games infested with micro transactions and a basic pay2win mentality. I simply won’t buy that kind of game now. I’m fine with season passes as long as I feel a full game has been released first but the way these major studios are going I’m happy to buy indie and Nintendo titles. At least I feel I get my money’s worth

I get the feeling EA chased Star Wars so hard so they could use the Empire music as their theme tune.

I wanted Star Wars on the Wii U but best we got was Lego Star Wars. Now that I own both a Wii U and PS4 and seeing the over priced DLC in the first Battlefront and the Loot Box fiasco with the second, I'm not interested in getting it on the PS4, let alone if they were to make a version for the Switch (when I get that).

EA as they transition to basically pay-to-win loot boxes: "Let the past die. Kill it, if you have to. That’s the only way to become what you were meant to be."

No thanks EA you can keep that piece of crap 'game' and any others with the same business model away. Just carry on shafting the sheep on the other platforms that are too stupid to know otherwise

Since progression is tied to random loot gambling... I mean boxes, I kinda doubt Nintendo will want this game on their system. Yes this is the type of support this system needs, but I don't want this game specifically unless it gets a major overhaul.

I'd buy it over the PS4 or steam version.

Maybe EA are waiting to see what Nintendo online subscription includes re online playing next year.

When all publishers are asked about all their games being published for Switch by every Nintendo website it's hard to say just no, so they say something that sounds good enough but that doesn't really mean anything.

@slaine SF2 was a Capcom game, not EA. And Capcom was apparently pleased with SF2 sales, enough so that they're now working on RE Revelations for Switch.

Considering EA's half-***ed release of FIFA, I wouldn't hold my breath. Honestly, who needs them? They have always treated Nintendo hardware as a rock bottom priority and I'm sure that if Battlefront 2 were to make it to Switch, it'd be a botch job anyway. They proved me right on Wii U, and they're proving me right with Switch.

After the mess that was shutting down Visceral, I don't think I'd want EA (and Activision) to bring games on to Switch anymore

I don't see them making a move ever outside of sports games unless they're shamed by their betters in the third party world with continued profitable releases. EA is and always has been a pack of apex predators and cowards. They dive in and wreck studios gutting the talent and drive, then shuttering/firing the less desirables year after year decade after decade. Then they do these classy tactless games of make comment, do something halfassed, then point fingers as a hollow excuse to pull their stunts. I'm trying to recall the last time I bought one of their games as I don't care about sports titles and it has been years. They hold no appeal to me due to their dumb handling of games in general and equally so for all their franchises pretty much too. EA is no longer the vital necessity to be successful that they were 10-20 years back.

From what I hear, Battlefront II is not worth getting excited for, anyway.

It won't come to Switch. EA haven't bothered porting FrostHYPE yet to the Switch and that would require investment. If EA didn't bother doing it with FIFA, they won't with EAFront 2.

It's a shame for fans of the series but it's not a surprise with EA.

@slaine Gotcha. In that case, I definitely agree. I can see EA blaming low sales of their gimped FIFA game on Switch as a reason for not porting future titles, when there isn't a lot of overlap between fans of FIFA and games like Battlefront...

@roboshort Actually, Monster Hunter XX on Switch bombed in Japan, most likely due to the fact that it was already available on 3DS and since essentially everyone in Japan owns a 3DS, they've already played that game to death.

They tried turning it into an action game, and for some weird reason, the RTS-C&C fans did not go out of their way to throw money at that approach ... who would have thought Oo Like I said, EA is constantly toeing the narrow line between pure greed and utter cluelessness. One thing that bugged me about the Wii U was the lack of Star Wars games that natively ran it (not counting backwards compatibility, all that was available was pinball and Angry Birds), so the possibility of Battlefront II coming to the Switch is interesting.

Take care of the growing fiasco that is the lootboxes and then we'll see. As it is, i'm not inclined to buy it on any system.

@BlueOcean Hardware drawbacks made porting to Wii and DS difficult, but third parties found a way to modify games to make that possible. If there's a user base and potential for sales, game developers will move heaven and earth to cash in on that. And arguably, the Switch is closer in power to other current gen hardware than the Wii was to the PS3 and 360.

But if they put Star Wars Battlefront II on Switch I'll never touch my Xbox again... Seriously, it's the only game left for me to justify owning a Second Console...

@thesilverbrick Yes, they released some AAA games for GBA and DS, e.g. Grand Theft Auto and Assassin's Creed, replacing the game design completely but that has changed through the years. 3DS or Wii U would be better references because they are more recent. 3DS games library is awesome but it took a while and most big games are exclusive and published by Nintendo. Wii U had a nice beginning like Switch and then was abandoned by third parties and Nintendo.

The future of Switch is still uncertain.

@BlueOcean The Wii U wasn't abandoned because of tech specs. Third parties ran screaming because the console sold horrifically, not because they couldn't get their games running on it. Ubisoft proved more than anyone else that relative parity was possible on Wii U.

Bring the story mode, dump the multiplayer and I'll be happy.

@Heavyarms55 Perhaps you are confused. Disney buying Star Wars does not mean Disney are making Star Wars. Lucasfilm are making everything Star Wars like they always have. Story content is done by the story group inside Lucasfilm. You never see anyone saying Disney made The Avengers. They say Marvel Studios made The Avengers. Disney are incredibly "hands off" when it comes to their subsidiaries. Nobody has removed the old EU. The books are still on shelves. They just got rebranded. If thats the continuity you like, it is still there. None of it was ever considered canon to the movies anyway so nothing has changed.

Doubt it'll happen but I'd love to see this. Especially with the single player campaign (which frankly I'm way more excited about than the multiplayer).

@thesilverbrick I didn't say that Wii U was abandoned because of its technology, its technology was fine at least until the release of Xbox One and PS4 one year later. 3DS and Wii U are the best references when talking about third-party support on Nintendo hardware, because Switch is a recently released device and the third-party support it enjoys is scarce this far - indie games aside.

In the AAA sector, only downgraded sports games and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 have been released for Switch this far, if we consider Mario + Rabbids an exceptional collaboration between Ubisoft and Nintendo. Doom is coming this year and so is Sonic Forces but we still don't know how good or bad these ports (versions) are. There are rumours about many Switch ports being delayed because of technical issues (lots of articles about it on Nintendo Life).

I have to disagree about the "relative parity" part... I have the Wii U version of Black Flag and the frame rate is absolutely awful. I never got Watch Dogs for Wii U but they say it's even worse, and we are talking about games that were released for 360 and PS3.

At the end of the day, the third-party support is the result of the combination of how much time and money is needed for making the Switch ports and how well do they sell.

I’d buy it. I just really wish they would support cross play. Why can’t I play on my switch with with my brother on ps4 and Dad on Xbox, and other brother on pc?

If such a thing ever actually happened I would only get it if they gave the option to buy the single player campaign standalone and priced it appropriately.

I love Star Wars, but can't say I have ever been a battlefront fan. I always prefer a meaty single player to online, which I hardly ever play on my PS4, and play less on the Switch.

I would like to have Star Wars on the Swith, but would take story driven action or rpg take. Or give me an all ship battle, I would prefer all of that to a fps

@BlueOcean And I'm saying the Wii U is not the best reference when talking about third party support on Nintendo hardware. In fact, it's the worst possible reference point. You're better off looking at successful Nintendo consoles and what happened there to see what we're likely to see with Switch. The Wii and DS sold incredibly well (and the Switch is poised to be a success, as well). In the Wii era, publishers heavily modified games to make them run on Wii with the goal of cashing in on that massive user base (we're still seeing selected titles released on that 11 year old console). It sure was no easy feat to get PS3 and 360 games working on Wii, but it happened, simply because there was a big audience there. In that way, the Wii mirrors the Switch (the Wii Unis an awful reference point). Sure, I doubt the Switch will move quite as many units as the Wii did, but it's a hot item at the moment and publishers will capitalize on that. Granted, like the Wii, many third party titles will be gimped in features and specs to make that happen, but I can guarantee we'll be seeing much more third party support this time next year.

Ah switch was always going to get off to a good start, thx to its portable side of things, Japan was always going to lap it up. Also Nintendo handhelds always fair better than their crummy home console of late, it's over for Ninty as a dedicated home console manufacturer, if they released another it would flop, best they stick with portability where they will always have sucess

I'd probably buy it for Switch. Otherwise, I'll pass. Kinda went sour for me after I bought the first one with the season pass on PS4, then they announce a bigger better sequel for the following year.

Like FIFA 18, it'll be the best Star Wars game on a Nintendo system to date......and like FIFA 18 it will be missing content.......and like FIFA 18, SW will come out limping!

Wii U sold well in November 2012. In December 2012 it was already losing momentum and by January 2013 it was dead in the water, leading to the infamous January 2013 Direct. The system never really recovered after that.

Switch is continuing to sell super well and is about to have it's first holiday season with four major system sellers to push it.

@Giygas_95 Yeah ... point being this: Star Wars is a compelling property mixing fantasy and scifi elements, from cool light-sabre battles to epic space battles ... turning that into cool vidoegames should be as easy as it gets, as far as source material is concerend.

I agree about Vader, that would be compelling, but there are dozens and dozens of other concepts that would surely entertain. How about a VR+Move light-sabre fighting game in the vein of Wii Sports Resort for example ... I'm not big on VR sofar, but that would make me take notice.

@Trikeboy Lol, no you are the one who is confused if you really think anyone at Lucasfilm has any real creative control left. It's Disney execs who make all the real decisions. Just because they didn't take those books off the shelves doesn't mean they didn't spit on them and everyone who loved them by cancelling any further content related to them. I surprised Capcom didn't have more ports for the Switch ready to roll. Their framework engine was supposed to be incredibly scaleable. There is no excuse

@Ralek85 I tend to put the blame on Disney, nothing good has happened since the LucasArts buy out, be it the movies, TV shows, or video games. The EA deal is only one part of Disney's terrible handling of Star Wars.

If you bothered to do any research into the deal you would know Disney handles marketing and distribution of the Star Wars brand. Multiple sources have confirmed Disney trust Lucasfilm enough to run the franchise. But, continue on your path to the dark side if you choose.

Can't say I'm anticipating Microtransaction Wars: Lootboxfront II if it appeared on Switch.

I don't understand how EA gets these licenses after how they handled the Harry Potter one.

It's always better PR for a game company to say "there's a chance", rather than outright saying "no". This is just another meaningless quote.

I am quite happy with Disney: The Force Awakens and Rogue One were decent movies, beating out what Lucas was doing with the license which went from nothing to crime-against-humanity known as EpI (to the less horrifically bad, but still not even close to good EpIII) straight like a razor back to nothing.

Have the heights of The Empire Strikes Back been achieved under Disney so far? Nope, but it was a one off under Lucas as well. Like I said, anything is better than nothing, that much even goes for EA, and unlike the EA games, I actually feel okay about the movies. It's not the same warm and fuzzy feeling, I get from the original trilogy, but I'd be lying if I said, I had expected that.

This game will be crap on switch. One of its major strengths are the graphics. I am not a fan over graphics emphasized games but with SWBF1 + 2 it is a major plus point why to get this game. A Switch has clear graphics deficiencies when compared to PC and other consoles so playing an otherwise repetitive and linear game with crap graphics included if there are much better versions available elsewhere, would simply ruin the gaming experience for me completely.

@locky-mavo Put the blame on EA's mismanagement of the franchise. They bought the license for 10 years in 2013. They announced three Star Wars games, one by Bioware, even though they are currently working on Anthem, so who knows what happened to that game. Visceral got shut down, but their game wouldn't release until 2019 anyway (remember it was announced in 2014, like what!?). Then there's DICE, they released half a game two years ago and their upcoming Battlefront II is nothing more than a wolf in sheep's clothing; a loot box machine disguised as a game. But hey, at least Respawn gets another chance at a (Star Wars) game after the huge fiasco that was Titanfall 2...

So all in all, I predict EA paid a lot of money for the license, but won't release more than three Star Wars games in the span of 10 years, and I expect the closure of at least two studios as a result of that.

I thought frostbite didn't run on the switch? Battlefront is frostbite isn't it? And it looks amazing too. They couldn't even get FIFA to run on switch as it is frostbite and would need a sizeable downscale.

I dread to think what battlefront would need doing to it to get it to run, plus I've played the beta and didn't enjoy it at all so no thank you EA.

No chance, they'd have to design it again from the ground up and on the basis EA are all about profit margins it just won't happen.

In other words they're not sure whether or not loot crates will go down well with Nintendo users. Makes me think though, people have been asking for third party "AAA" games, yet so far what they've brought to the table hasn't been that special. Hefty file sizes, bugs, microtransactions...curious to see how Doom plays out though as I've heard nothing but good so far.

@Varathius Are you saying the redeeming feature of this game is the graphics? You used the words repetitive and linear to describe it, and that other versions will be superior because of the graphics. Dunno if that sounds like the sort of game I'd really want to play. I know the first one didn't get the best feedback due to all the DLC.

@gamermole That's why it won't happen. They're not going to optimise Frostbyte for the Switch, just to they can port Battlefront 2. This is just PR talk.

Personally I’m not surprised with EA’s logic. THe budget of some of these games is mirroring those of Hollywood blockbusters almost 15-20 years ago.
With budgets that size everything on the game must be marketable. It’s crazy.
Thus, whatever is popular is what is going to be made to justify the investment.... very boring and sterile.

It does sound like it won't come out anywhere near in the future. EA is EA as always but I won't rule out EA either.

If the switch could deliver the same experience I’m expecting on my other two consoles it would definitely be my preferred platform to play Battlefront. It can’t though and after seeing how it looks I’d have a hard time enjoying the experience knowing it’s prettier and faster on the other side of the fence.

@gamermole I somewhat enjoy playing Fifa to be honest. I'm used to the controls and mechanics of the game, as I've played it for a long time, and also, it always had a certain arcade sensibility, I'm just comfortable with.

I tried Pro Evo a couple of times, but it never clicked with me. I blame myself for that though. I never made any substantial effort to really become acquainted with it, and I never will, because I don't care about soccer enough to bother. I've once bought a Fifa 16 during a sale, and when ever I feel like playing soccer, I just play that for a while.

I'm definitely not one of those slave who buys a new every year. Once per generation is normally enough for me, hence it will be a couple of years, before I'll shell out for another one

But yeah, I think you are quite right. If Konami made a proper effort (incl. a proper marketing campagin), and had all the licenses, there is a decent chance that they could be proper thorn in EA's side, just as 2K is in terms of the NBA.

Still, EA has a huge friggin headstart as far as soccer goes, and really, the way the throw money at those licenses and the marketing is insane and probably hard to match for anyone. It's just hard to beat a (quasi) monopoly after all

I'm with ya there. I have shelves of EU books but I haven't engaged in any of the disney content. I won't do so until they revive the expanded universe.

@Aurumonado I would not bet on them ever reviving that content. Beyond possibly making HD remakes of a few older games (which I would honestly love)

They have made it very clear that those stories will not be continued and their focus is on their new canon. And I am bitter enough to hope it crashes and burns.

I'm hopeful enough that they will revive the content once they realize there is a market for it and that it can make them lots of cold hard cash. In the meantime, I'm just not interested in supporting the company that essentially killed off the largest most cohesive science fiction universe.

@Ralek85 Yes, imo TFA and to a lesser extent, Rogue One were terrible, I personally find them worse than Lucas' prequels, and I love taking the pi$$ and picking those movies to pieces, but I still enjoy watching them every time I do, can't say the same for Disney's Star Wars. Even as bad as the prequels were, they have some of the best and most memorable scenes and characters in the franchise, ep7 and Rogue One, do not. I was so excited for TFA, but I've never walked out of a cinema so disappointingly underwhelmed than I was walking out of ep7, and now they're getting back JJ Abrams to direct ep9?! IMO, Disney are controls-fraks that have no idea how to handle Star Wars properly, it's just a cash-grab that they've gone and went PC/SJW stupid on, evident by how they've been handling it so far with the movies, TV shows and games.
For me, the movie series ends with ep6 and the real sequel to them is the Thrawn trilogy.

@Octane While I do agree EA completely suck at handling the game side of things, it was still Disney that decided to go through with giving EA the exclusive rights to the Star Wars games.

Nah, they'll just release a gimped port with 50% of the features missing.

@Aurumonado Trust me, I understand completely about supporting said company. But it just seems unlikely with Disney in Charge. They know the majority of the people who buy their toys and games are parents who don't know or care about what they are buying. And they assume the same of Marvel products and SW products.

I think, at best, we might someday get HD KOTOR 1&2 and or Rogue Squadron VC releases. If we get lucky.

@locky-mavo I agree 100%. The true sequels are the Thrawn Trilogy. I spent years dreaming of seeing Thrawn and C'baoth on the big screen. Of seeing Mara Jade... And Disney spat on that. They are turning Luke in to a washed up coward, they killed wet noodle version of Han Solo. They portrayed the New Republic as corrupt and useless so bad that Fey'lya's New Republic looks outstanding. The First Order makes no sense. Kylo Ren is a baby throwing a temper tantrum every 23 seconds, whining about feeling the pull of the light. Stupid Stupid stupid!

Of all the licenses that EA own, the ONLY one that interest me is Star Wars, but I don't like multiplayer only games and Battlefront is not high on my list unless the single player campaign is good and long.

The game I was really looking forward was the new single player game that Visceral was developing, but they just killed it... So, it's over. No more worthy Star Wars games it seems...

Besides, I don't see EA ever trying to bring Battlefront to the Switch after the (deserved) lukewarm reception of FIFA.

If '...not right now...' can garner 136 posts, imagine how crazy an announcement would be!

@JaxonH I concur. And most of that has to do, typically, with releasing within the year (less than 12 months of sales opportunity) and, mostly, supply issues serving as the constraint to unfettered console sales. Most every system launch is faced with limited supply.

I'm gonna throw something out there to the group from out of left field... For those wanting examples of how a publisher should treat a license like Star Wars, take your games off the screen and onto your table. Table top gaming publisher Fantasy Flight Games has enjoyed a successful licensing releationship for Star Wars for many years. They consistently produce very high quality games with fun and engaging mechanics that embrace the license very well. Even incorporating Legacy themes and characters. Some of my favorite FFG games (that I own and play consistently):
Imperial Assault: tile based miniatures dungeon crawl with campaign mechanics
X-wing: Tactical space combat miniatures
Armada: Strategic space combat miniatures
Rebellion: strategic conquest where Rebels and Imperials have completely different win conditions and play styles
Star Wars LCG: Customizable card game
Destiny (CCG): Collectible Card Game w/ dice

Seriously, I re-discovered table gaming about 5 years ago (since I had stopped playing as a teenager) and it is an incredibly fun companion to video gaming. There is something exhilarating about playing with physical components (dice, tiles, tokens, figures, etc.) and experiencing multiplayer the socially "healthy" way by sitting at the table and playing with your allies and enemies face to face! I strongly encourage any video gamer to go out to their local hobby gaming store and check out all the cool things gaming has to offer thay is off the screen. You may find a really good gaming fix for your Star Wars itch in ways you've never expected!

@Heavyarms55 No matter what system you get it on I don't think you'll be disappointed. I played the beta, and I have to say that it is way better then the first. Sold the first Battlefront only a few weeks after getting it. Can't wait!

It is gamewise a repetitive and linear boring level grind, which I did plenty of in SWBF1, but if I have to do it all over again, at least I want the graphics to be beautiful. Playing this on 4K on my 34" screen vs playing it over the Switch? Would be obvious on what platform I would play such a boring repetitive game, I would obviously pick a platform where graphics would look amazing, but this (as I mentioned before in original post) is not a deciding factor when playing fun video games, which is why I have a Switch and 3DS too. But in this game, I see no reason why getting it on Switch if you can play it on PC and other consoles.

It would be great for the system but i honestly dont think its possible

The first sentence is what would definitely make me leave it on the shelf. No amount of pretty graphics could make me endure dull gameplay especially once EA's money grabbing schemes are thrown into the equation. But yeah I doubt very much that it will head the way of the Switch.

Please leave EA games off of the Nintendo platform. I am disgusted with EA and Disney after recent events
