I think the hate has died out. When they announced this game was going to be "free to play" with transactions....even though they clearly said that your lives would regenerate over time, I think people were confused.

I'll admit it, I enjoy Candy Crush; so when Nintendo announced this game I was all over it!

Really fun game. I'll be applying the update/patch when I get home from work. Does the patch come with any Jewels? How about the daily pokemon-have they been updated? It's always the same Rotoms every week so far.

On a side note, I've been collecting every Pokemon before moving on, I'm currently stuck on the mega stone for Slowbro.

People would have paid for this! (Although I think it was part of the kickstarter goals) Yacht Club Games is AWESOME!

I picked this up right after Christmas with my Digital Deluxe credits and I played it up to right after Plague Knight before being sidetracked. I'm looking forward to jumping back in to Shovel Knight before this gets released.

I can't wait. I wish it was out sooner but maybe this is better because by the time I'm getting bored with Kart, this will come out and spark interest again.

I purchased the combo so the day it comes out I believe it will automatically download.

Don't blame Ebay, blame Nintendo. Nintendo has purposely created a market for these by under-producing. They love all the attention they get from the consumer's horror stories as it produces buzz and "want" for their products. Ebay is not at fault at all. It's Nintendo mainly, followed by the scalpers and people who are willing to go onto Ebay and overpay for the Amiibos.

I love it and I can't wait for my lives to regenerate. However, I have no intentions of spending a cent on this game.

I will say that the capture percentages after a completed level are usually backwards for me. I'll capture a pokemon with a 10% chance but fail on a pokemon around 85%?

I actually wonder how Nintendo is doing on this game? There are no advertisements and so far it seems that the majority of people are intent on not spending money in this game.

Are we positive that Walmart sold their entire stock in the Gold Mario Amiibo? Maybe the offered a limited amount for online preorders and kept the rest for in store sales.....not that I'm going to get one of my local store's 3 Gold Mario Amiibos anyways!

@CB85

Great point. They should have fixed the current problem first, but I fear that this is exactly what Nintendo wants. They want these figures to be sold on ebay for triple the price. They want fights to break out in lines so it's on the news. They want these crazy stories of people's orders being canceled. It seems like the rarer these are, the hotter they are. I think this is why Nintendo has failed to address the matter when it's brought up in an interview.

I think the funniest reason to buy a $350+ system is for the Blu-ray player!!!

My list would be:
1. Exclusives
2. Fun factor
3. Game library
4. Better for kids
5. Price/Value

My bottom 2 would be:
1. Brand???
2. Blu-ray player - who doesn't already own one?

We rented a Donkey Kong DVD about a year ago.....it was almost not watchable. The animation is horrible (although I'm sure it was considered great back when it was first released) and the stories are outdated. This did not age well.

I'm really enjoying the game. I'm happy firing up Mii Plaza and running through my streetpasses and then following that up with some Shuffle before jumping into a full game. It's been a long time since the days when I was able to buy a game and dedicate hours & hours in the first week of ownership to beating a game.

I'm not against Nintendo doing something on ios/android. It's not like they would take the entire Mario series and move it over there and then everyone would stop buying Nintendo Systems. I think too many people are looking at this as a replacement and not as a support or an opportunity to advertise their products. I always thought the COD app was kind of cool. I would be at work and think of a new setup that I wanted to try later, and I would fire the app up and make changes that would be synced up when I fired the game up later that night. It was nothing special, but I enjoyed using it.

@midnafanboy

They do sound fake. I thought the most fake sounding one is the Gamestop one where the manager left the kid in the back to play Smash Bros. Come on, it's only the manager working yet he can go in the back and play Smash with some kid while the store runs its self.

All the store line rushing, employee shenanigans, and customer hogging stories sound legit though.

1. This is Nintendo's fault. I don't blame them for trying to better their company's recent "temporary" decline, but there's got to be a better way of doing this.

2. I refuse to purchase any Amiibo for higher the MSRP. I do not support "scalping". I personally view the practice of buying stock in rare products and selling them on ebay at a higher price as being very wrong, but I also see that these people are breaking absolutely no laws. Reading the story of the bike rider scalper made me really angry. The store formed lines, this guy does not wait in line and rides his bike in their store! They should have escorted him off the premise.

3. Little Mac was #1 on my son's Christmas list. He didn't get it. I felt really bad about it. However, my son is very good and was grateful for what he did get. I couldn't deny a kid of something like this. Even if I were selling these online, I couldn't go into a store and buy the entire stock up....just seems wrong.

Those covers are some of the best I've seen.

NoA should pack in small stickers/decals in every game to make up for not selling the New 3DS systems with exchangeable face plates in NA. That way, you could if you choose, to decorate your system with characters from you favorite games.

I prefer the normal Mario over the "Gold Amiibo Edition". I always thought that the crystal Disney Infinity characters looked bad compared to their normal versions.

Off the subject, does anyone in NYC know if Nintendo World is stocked with Amiibos or are their shelves full of Mario, Yoshi, Peach, Luigi, & Donkey Kong?

We got this for Christmas but we haven't played it much. Sometimes the controls get on my nerves. I wish you could turn the gyro controls off! I like using a combination of both control styles but the gyro controls have caused me die more times then I should have. So turning them off would be a great option. Other then that, I like the game.

Give Sonic a much needed vacation. His recent game/cartoon is horrible. What happened to all the great Sega series? Streets of Rage, Shinning Force, Panzer Dragoon, Phantasy Star, Shenmue, Comix Zone, Ecco, Jet Set Radio, Virtual Fighter, Sega Rally, House of the Dead, Shinobi, Toejam & Earl, Columns? They have or had a catalog to work with, more so then a lot of other companies and yet they can't figure it out.

I would love for Sega to put out a quality Shinning Force game but it will never happen.

I got on yesterday and got my two codes after a few failed attempts. I put it on both of our 3DS systems and tried it. For a free app, I really like it. My only gripe would be that I wish it had a larger color palette and of course online sharing.

I wouldn't buy a code for a free game but if others are willing to do so, it supports people selling them. The people that shell out the extra money for this and other things (Amiibos, game systems, games) support this practice. If no one bought the Villager Amiibo for 3 times the retail cost, then people would stop selling them on ebay for 3 times the cost.

I love the Xbox achievements. When I first played Super Mario 3D World, I thought that Nintendo came up with a better achievement system until I found out that you could only use the stamps collected in-game, in post created through 3D World into Miiverse. Nintendo should allow you to use any stamps collected in every Miiverse post. This way, if I created a Miiverse post in NES Remix with a Mario Kart 8 Time Trial stamp, people would see that I earned the stamp; and think about all the cool post you could create by mixing all the stamps that you collect.

dkxcalibur commented on Ubisoft's Unreleased and Finished Wii U Game H...:

I've always felt that another meaning for the word Ubisoft should be "mediocre". I'll admit that I have had fun playing some of their games in the past, but when I finished those games, I always had feelings that they could have been better. Red Steel was fun but had tons of flaws and it never worked the way they hyped it to work. Assassin's Creed was fun, but got repetitive really quickly. I bought the second one after finishing the first but only played it for like an hour. Their Just Dance series is fun until you realize that you don't actually have to dance to play it. Far Cry and Splinter Cell were not special for me. The Rabbid games are fun for like 20 minutes. When they rebooted Prince of Persia I thought they had a hit, but then they killed that series. They couldn't create a good TMNT game?????? I'll be honest though, the Rayman games, especially the last two are awesome.
Other then that, Ubisoft makes mediocre games IMO. If they made quality games, people would buy them.
