I own the original. I've probably played it through most of the way but I never completed it. It failed to suck me in, although I really liked the "unique experiences" that the game had. A better looking game on the Wii U might be very good though.

Oooh, this is a tough one. I thought the original was awesome but I don't know if I would have paid to play it again anyways. That was a game that I enjoyed but not enough to replay it....so I'm only disappointed for those who would have purchased this if it would have landed on the Wii U.

@Sean_Aaron What's not to get? This is his rule that he created for himself. He knows what his budget is and has obviously put thought into it. You are correct that in his system, movies would not represent good entertainment value. However, this system of his only applies to video games......and again, it's his system.

@Yorumi A TV commercial for Bayonneta 2 does exist and I remember seeing it during sporting events on TV back in October. Was it shown a lot? No. But it was supported. I've seen a lot of 3DS commercials, Mario Party 10 commercials, Smash Bros commercials, and Amiibo commercials in the last couple months. Nintendo does advertise their games.

I do see your point that the directs do not reach the general public, but let's be honest, how many casual gamers were going to buy Bayonneta 2?

Again, Bayonetta 2 had a Nintendo Direct on September 4, 2014 that was around 30 minutes long, followed by a treehouse session that lasted around 30 minutes. Is this support? I also remember seeing commercials on TV. Are commercials support?

There was a Nintendo Direct on September 4, 2014 for Bayonetta 2. It was around 30 minutes long and was followed by a 30 minute treehouse session as well. I bought Bayonetta 2 after seeing the details presented on the direct.

I buy games that I want to play. Whether or not they are 1st party or 3rd party does not effect my decisions. I bought Rayman for the Wii U because we love platformers. I also recently picked MH4U over Code Name Steam & Xenoblade. On the other end of the spectrum, I chose Fire Emblem over Bravely Default. Did I do something wrong when I purchased Fire Emblem over Bravely Default? I can't support every single game. Like most people, I have a budget that drives how much money I can spend on video games. I also have limited time set aside for gaming in general. Is it wrong to buy what I know I'm going to play & like? Is it wrong to buy games on sale? I've bought many many Xbox Arcade games after they went on sale.

It's more than I thought it would be, but I would be okay with paying that price if Splatoon wasn't coming out the following week. I'm probably going to buy Splatoon and at $60, that's as much as I could spend on gaming for May/June. I bought Mario Party 10 (unfortunately), MH4U, a few amiibos, and the 2 new Mii plaza games for each of our 3DS systems (3 total) in the last couple months. I can't play games as fast as I once did, so it will wait for now.

dkxcalibur commented on Nintendo Announces Best Buy Locations and Deta...:

Well, I guess they at least picked strategic locations to try and accommodate as many gamers as possible. There really isn't one near where I live so I won't be going. The New York location is possible but not for something like this at a Best Buy. I feel bad for the obvious left out locations like Hawaii & Alaska and the other states that are located 8+ hours from the nearest location. Oh well, I hope the actual E3 event is still a success.

@skywake That sucks. No one should have to spend that much; not Australia, Canada, or any one!

But just to clarify, It's not NA gamers complaining about higher prices, it's a Canadian gamer complaining about prices. He has every right to complain though. The point is that what he's used to paying for a game and/or system is now going up. I would be angry/disappointed too. Now is it Nintendo's fault or his government? I have no clue....

I usually prefer to play games as the "good guys" but I also appreciate a challenge. I kind of wish it were the other way around the tougher challenge coming with being the "good guys". Oh well, I guess I'll have to play through both!

I love Mega64....I watch every Podcast and every video they release. I believe they have also started a 24 hours TV thing on their website..

If you like the Luigi's Mansion you need to check out their video for that. My all-time favorite videos by them is the Parrappa the Rapper video and the Punch Out! Doc Louis video.

If I were Nintendo/Microsoft/Sony/Steam....or any other video game developer., I would contact Konami now about the possibility of "leasing" and developing their IPs. Maybe Nintendo/Microsoft/Sony could do what Nintendo did for Bayonetta 2?

@Quorthon I never said that just because I supported his work in the past that it would be enough to start his own business???? I meant that I have supported his past games directly in the past and that I would support him again if he decided to design games for systems that I own. It is not my responsibility to provide him with funds to start his new business just because I play video games or played his games in the past. It is his and his newly formed company's responsibility to generate revenue. Your McDonald's comment was one of the dumbest comments I have read on Nintendolife. Let me try to make sense of this. Yes, if I were to buy a meal at McDonald's I would be supporting that restaurant, the McDonald's company, and the worker who sold the meal to me + many others indirectly. Now if that worker decided to go out on his own and start a new restaurant, I would only support his new venture if I wanted to eat the food that his newly found restaurant is serving. Would I walk into the restaurant and hand money over just because it's a new business and because he served me food before? Um no! Now if what he was serving/cooking looked appetizing, then yes I would support his new businesses by buying food from him. I would not expect anyone to support a new business just because someone started a new business. If they wanted to, that's on them, but most people don't just hand their money over to new businesses when it does not benefit them. As I clearly stated before, it's not a Nintendo thing with me. I'm not against his company being successful only because he chose not to develop a game for a Nintendo system. I have owned many many non Nintendo systems in the past. But I'm not going to give my hard earned money to a business that does not proved me with some sort of product or service.

It is you and your sense of entitlement that has you confused. But that's what you do. You twist what others say so that you can argue with them. Just so you know, this will be my last response on the matter. What I posted earlier is MY OPINION! Just like the other people posting stuff, it is their opinions. Maybe you would like to support my new company I'm starting? My new company will not do or provide you with anything but you don't care about that! Just send me $60!

@Quorthon I was unaware of the game being developed in Unreal 4. My bad! Thanks for the update professor!

I'll also admit that I am unfamiliar with the "video game industry" as I do not work in the video game industry. However, I am familiar with how employees in general are compensated for the work they do for the company that employs them. He WAS compensated for his work in designing games in the past for Konami. I purchased some of those games. He was given a paycheck from Konami in some form was he not? Did my money go directly into his bank account? No. But he did benefit from people buying his games from Konami. I understand that he is no longer employed there, but it's not my responsibility that he has now decided to go a different way. I am not going to give my money to someone just because of their past work. Now if they came out and confirmed that a game is being worked on for either the 3DS or Wii U, then maybe I would support this game. But to the best of my knowledge, this has not happened yet. This would be like me leaving my company, and then later asking my former clients to fund my new business even though it does not provide a benefit to them????? I hope it works out for him though.

Just to add, my reason for not supporting this game isn't a Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo thing.

Wow! Shots fired!

I'm not going to bash the other systems. That seems useless as it's not Sony & Microsoft's fault that this isn't coming to the Nintendo systems. But I won't support something that may or may not come to the systems I own. I'm also not going to support a developer just because he/she designed a game I loved in the past. That developer already received money from me when I purchased those games.

The reasoning for it not coming to a Nintendo system immediately seems dumb. The Wii U can handle large-beautiful 2.5 side scrolling games just fine, and as others have already pointed out, other developers had no problems getting their awesome games onto more then 2 systems.

Are those games that Miyamoto is working on going to be a compilation/party game? The two shown @ last year's E3 did not look like they had too much depth. Maybe one of the unannounced games is going to be NintendoLand 2 or something like that.

We all knew that Nintendo had more cards up it's sleeves for E3.....and it makes for awesome-fun speculation!

@Quorthon I couldn't get into Eternal Darkness but I tried. I could at least appreciate a lot of the unique stuff (shenanigans) they had in that game though. Retro is probably one of my favorite developers because they're responsible for some of my favorite games in the past 3 Nintendo consoles. I would actually love a new Metroid from them but I think that they would work on something different.

Everyone seems to have loved the TG16 but I don't remember a single friend owning one back in the day. I would have friends come over, and I would suggest playing the TG16 and they would be like, "what's that?" My favorite game was this weird puzzle game called Tricky Kick. The system and all my games are lost somewhere in my parent's basement. I also owned the 3DO & Dreamcast, two more systems that I loved but were considered failures. I loved Star Control II for 3DO and Soul Calibur for the Dreamcast.

There are definitely new unannounced games that Nintendo is going to announce @ this E3.

They've said no Zelda in 2015, but does that mean that it won't come in the first part of 2016?

I would love F-Zero, and they've really been pushing the series with the Kart content. Could this be the next Retro game? Retro has a perfect reputation for resurrecting dormant Nintendo classics and making them relevant again.

I think Mario Maker will take center stage and it will be a deep game that was made to compete with the other "creator games". I'm thinking it will have full Amiibo support and every amiibo will be playable in game. I also would love to see a 3DS "Mario Player" game that would allow 3DS owners to play the fan created levels.

We'll hear about Yoshi, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, & Xenoblade for sure.

...and we'll hear about at least one new 3DS game that will be heading to the system in time for the holiday season. It will need to be "big" too. Not that Fire Emblem isn't, but the unannounced game will have to appeal to the masses.

@joemama93 StarFox sucks??? This is only one person's opinion. As for my opinion, I kind of agree that the original StarFox isn't the best, but StarFox 64 is a game that I will play over and over again. I've owned the same game on multiple systems now and I still love this game. I don't usually replay games but this one I do, almost monthly ....and I have very high hopes for the new StarFox game.
