I missed out on the morning collector's edition but I was able to snag one in the afternoon. I kick started the game and it turned out about as good as I expected. I always wanted this physical and was super bummed that they never had a tier for physical. Thankfully Limited Run picked it up and they made a pretty sweet collector's edition. I wasn't going to splurge but the fake N64 cart really got me.
I have both and loved both. I put about 25 hours into Totes the Goat but it's simply because I found it extremely addictive and an excellent game to start my evening with or if I just wanted something that was truly a drop in and out. People have compared it to Qbert which I haven't played. There are different characters to unlock and I enjoyed trying them all out since they have different themes and so on.
Soccer Slammers is a fun little arcade title, though I only put about 5 hours into it. Another simple to pick up and play game but still very enjoyable though there is nothing to unlock which keeps it from doing too much. There is supposed to be an update though that might add some stuff. Don't know the details yet.
I picked up Mutant Mudds but the other games I couldn't pull the trigger on. It's great to see them show up but I cannot justify the cost unless it's a game I truly might replay (hence Mutant Mudds). Limited Run games has released a few more I'm interested in but it's the same problem for me. The other side of it is that I'm a collector so it's real tempting to buy all of these outright. If I had unlimited funds I would do it.
I bought this on PC but haven't played it so I need to decide whether to double dip or just play the copy I have and save the money for something I don't own yet.
It's on my radar but there have been so many rpgs released along with games like Hollow Knight that eat up a lot of time. I think he's jumping the gun a little bit though and should wait a full month or so before he complains. I hate to say it but this isn't being pro active.
I have this on my radar but I've been feeling overwhelmed almost every week with games. I haven't even touched Octopath as I using what little free time I had with Hollow Knight.
I downloaded this and didn't even try it since it requires internet. At my old job I had very little signal so I couldn't even mess with the game on my lunch break. When I get home I have a console to play so this has no interest then. I do like the pay up front model though which most of the games I have on my phone are that.
I own the Sega CD version though I've never played it so I'm looking forward to the physical release from Limited Run. I'm not expecting a good game but the game has it's place in history.
I'll probably pick this up at some point but it's never been a must have for me. Sounds like a great effort though that does deserve my attention at some point.
I had my eye on this since it was unveiled and picked it up this week since it was on sale. I'm about 13 levels in so far and it's a solid experience. It reminds me of one those SNES games that was just a random platformer with a quirky hook like Boogerman or Bubsy that's really solid. It's also a nice change of pace after beating Hollow Knight.
Finally beat the final boss last night with 87% completion with the worse ending. I'll probably jump back in after a bit since I dropped 45 hours into Hollow Knight. I really enjoyed the game and for all of those that couldn't get into it, I understand. I would recommend using a guide a bit which is what I did to keep from getting off the rails. I only used it to point me in the right direction which kept me from going made after wandering around for a couple of hours. Also some of the charm load outs make the bosses a lot easier. I failed at the final boss several times until I got Quick Slash and learned about the Tank Load out. Pretty much walked right through him without a problem.
I'm going through Bomb Chicken right now which is a nice palette cleanser.
Glad to hear the game got the sales it deserved. I still have yet to play much of it as I'm trudging along in Hollow Knight and I haven't had much time to play games the past few weeks. Hopefully that improves over the next couple of weeks.
Well on this on pre-order for the physical version but I might drop down to just digital as this maybe a game I play for a bit and get frustrated. Hollow Knight is fun and hard enough and it has a map. This is hard and not much direction but doesn't have a map. Sounds more frustrating than it should be.
That actually would be a good take on the franchise to update it. I would like something like this but keep it small and make it a Eshop exclusive game.
I'm still plugging away at Hollow Knight and have about 38 hours in it as of now so I have be getting close to the end. I'm hoping to finish it within the week so I can get started on Octopath finally.
Reminds me of Slayaway Camp but with the spoof being action heroes instead. I'll watch out for it and probably pick it up on the cheap as I liked Slayaway Camp.
Mega Man Collection X is the only one I'm seriously considering as I have too many games right now. Of course there is always the games on sale that get me too.
I ordered 10 empty cases from Nintendo so that I can print these off. Don't worry though, I'm not buying the game 8 more times. These will look great on my shelf though as I really like the art style.
I mean it's great that it's number one and sold well in 3 days but it's also embarrassing that Square severely underestimated this game. They had large demo downloads, large feedback from the demo (meaning fans were engaged), and it was in the top 10 of most wanted games in Japan for months. That's not to mention it was in the reveal trailer for the Switch. Really poor job on their part.
I went ahead and picked this up during the Steam sale but would prefer it on the Switch. Can't blame them for not porting this as they are a small studio and I'm sure they are getting a little burnt out on the same game for 3-4 years or however long it's been.
I have the standard edition and and deluxe edition on order. I'm hoping the deluxe edition drops in price like the deluxe edition did on the last book.
Sounds amazing and I cannot wait to get my hands on it. Now I have to decide whether I'll drop hollow knight or finish it then start this? Decisions, decisions.
I wouldn't be surprised if the switch pulled it off but I am surprised about the top 10 software games. I think Pokemon especially has a chance of being in the top 10 since it's going to have almost 2 months to sale and it's being released before Black Friday. I guess the multi platform aspect of it hurts Nintendo but it's Pokemon.
Loved this game on the WiiU and already double dipped on it (bought it digitally first and went back and got a physical copy for collection). I however will not be double dipping. For those that missed out on this during the WiiU, pick it up!
I skipped the 2nd demo but it's almost time to download it so I can get a jump on the game. This was one of the games that convinced me on the Switch so I'm beyond excited to get to play it. I hope it does really well too because I would love this to be a series that Square makes for Nintendo instead of giving up Final Fantasy Chronicles or some other stupid spin off. I also prefer the more traditional jrpg so this is right up my alley.
I'm going to wait until a day or two before the games release then play the demo. That way I can get a head start on the game since the save data from the demo will transfer over. 3 hour head start sounds pretty good to me!
I have the special edition on order but haven't decided whether to keep it or just download the game. I grew up in the era but have no affinity towards this game so I probably should save the money and just get the download version. The steel book looks pretty sweet though.

From the review:
