Re: Bloodstained Is Officially Kickstarter's Most Successful Video Game Campaign

@Kirk 90% is still a ridiculously large amount that is completely unnecessary. Games reflect the style of the developers and if they want a gritty realistic game, so what? You don't have to like or buy it. But to call it trash for its looks is ridiculous. If the majority of the games were what you wanted, it would be boring, redundant and monotonous. Games are still pretty diverse in artisitc styles. Splatoon doesn't look like Call of Duty. Smash Bros doesn't look like street fighter. Games are still pretty different in terms of looks. Just because the more popular games look similar doesn't mean that all games are aspiring to follow their example.

@Kirk Wow. Someone needs to get off their high horse. If all games look like what YOU want, they'd be redundant and boring. Game creation is like an art and you think you.know what is right and wrong based on what? Graphics don't make a game. People have different views. Just because you think you know what is good and what you think is best, doesn't mean there are others that agree. Such is the way with art. People interpret things differently.

I personally didn't care for the castlevania franchise but I am interested enough in this game to want to buy it. I like it for what it is just like there are obviously plenty others seeing as this campaign is so successful.

Just wow this post just still feels like a joke.

I'm glad to see all this change. Hopefully the easier modes will bring in more fans who may have had bad experiences with previous games because they aren't that good at tactical games but wanted to enjoy the story. Anything to bring in a bigger fan base and hopefully have more FE games down the line

Re: Don't Hold Your Breath On Those Marth amiibo Restocks

@Kami2Kami what does it matter with how much of a product we receive when it still is gone in a matter of minutes? So no we don't have enough ammibos. 60% of what looks like is not a lot doesn't make it enough. And I'm not complaining about anything. I have all the amiibo I wanted by getting them through other countries if I have to. I'm siding with the UK fan base. I don't believe they should be paying more for amiibo, especially on ones that aren't even rare/ sold out. Raising all prices across the board is unfair for an amiibo with a lot of stock vs amiibo that you can't even get because preorders sold out. I attacking the UK market just as much as the UK buyers are. Not because I'm from the US, like lol what does that have to do with anything? Like " you guys are paying too much for amiibo ahahahahah" like no. I'm angry for you guys. It sucks ass like there seems to be no price regulations. Just retailers raising to different prices from each other for whatever reasons.

Learn to read and sit down.

Re: Don't Hold Your Breath On Those Marth amiibo Restocks

@Kami2Kami lol you don't know economics, sit down and stop trying to pick a fight.

Besides the fact that @Sir_JBizzle and I are just guessing, you were the one with faulty economic reasoning front he start and tried to correct yourself by going "I was talking about economy as a whole" lol.

But here some facts for you. I decided to actually look it up instead of making up false info and pretending to know economics and business practices like you are doing:

https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2014/12/uk_retailer_game_cashes_in_on_intense_amiibo_demand_by_hiking_price

http://attackofthefanboy.com/news/online-uk-retailer-raises-amiibo-prices/

http://m.digitalspy.com/gaming/news/a614763/amiibo-stock-shortages-result-in-increased-prices.html#~pczKtdiTskxppj

Basically, I doubt it's importers who are the real issue when it comes to pricing but just the issue of all when it comes to amiibo. Not enough stock to meet demand, but it ain't effecting America in terms of cost so yeah... UK being greedy.

Re: Don't Hold Your Breath On Those Marth amiibo Restocks

tsukipon

@Sir_JBizzle I'm one of those people, sorry. I just can't pay eBay scalpers for being jerks so I buy retail from the UK/Japan on the ones I missed. But yup, looks like good ol' fashioned greed on some retailers. I wonder if it's even possible to fix the amiibo situation...

Re: Don't Hold Your Breath On Those Marth amiibo Restocks

tsukipon

@Mush123 like I had stated before, I was going by what others were saying. Amiibos that are all gone over here seem to be in stock in the UK/Europe, such as Marth and Ike. I never claimed to know the stock situation. I was merely providing conjecture and example economics based on what I had perceived from other comments, even going on to say things like "stock appears to be". Don't get me wrong, I was waiting for someone to tell me what was up over there cuz I didn't know for sure, so I do thank you for correcting that.

At least you have the slight option of finding it in a store. The amiibo never even make it to stores nowadays. Not even in our Nintendo Store... Also, I thought that Robin & co came out later this month... I already .missed the preorder so I don't even bother following the dates anymore. I was lucky enough to get my hands on the Splatoon ones. From my own experiences and seeing comments from other people, it seemed like you guys had an abundance because I was easily able to get amiibos from the UK that sold out over here.

Re: Don't Hold Your Breath On Those Marth amiibo Restocks

tsukipon

@Kami2Kami that's what I was wondering. Why raise prices of all amiibo instead of the rarer ones? Its not basic economics, it looks like basic capitalism and if there is one thing I can say I'm an expert on just by living in the US, it's capitalism.... The "best" economy ever >_>

Re: Don't Hold Your Breath On Those Marth amiibo Restocks

tsukipon

@Kami2Kami according to @outburst, all amiibo prices are being raised some retailers, going on to state that regular price was £10 but rose to like £12.99 etc.

While browsing GAME, I see normal prices are £14.99, including Lucina so I don't know what you are talking about.

And roices would be raised from the get go for US amiibo prices because past sales would affect RRP for future stock.

Re: Don't Hold Your Breath On Those Marth amiibo Restocks

tsukipon

@Kami2Kami something that apparently you don't understand.

How would recommended retail price raise in a country that isn't selling as well and not raise in a country that sells out in a few hours?

Basic supply and demand: in the UK supply appears to be high, demand appears to be low, prices would drop because there is a surplus of stock and product needs to be moved. Why are prices rising instead? Is what I'm curious about.

In the US, supply is low and demand and high so prices should increase but haven't.instead they stay the same and even drop for the select amiibo that don't sell as well (although this part makes sense)

Neither scenario makes sense so it should be the other way around. Amiibo prices should be rising in the US instead, at least for the new waves.

Re: Don't Hold Your Breath On Those Marth amiibo Restocks

tsukipon

@Kami2Kami but I was talking about the amiibo situation, not economy as a whole. I know about economics, supply and demand and all that smooth jazz. The idea of RRP pricing would make sense if it was affecting the amiibo prices as a whole and not just Europe. Amiibo prices are still $12.99 here and only drop to get rid of surplus common ammibi stock like Zelda and Pikachu. In Jaoan, the amiibo don't sell that well either. It was such an issue that Nintendo made a statement to their investors about ways they can increase sales in the homeland. The fact that amiibo waves sell out just during preorder in America and the RRP hasn't rose doesn't seem to fit in when Japan and Europe aren't selling as well, based on what others are saying.

Its different when a country sells items through another. I doubt the retail stores in the UK are paying the same kind of price and import that a single consumer would pay. They aren't paying the same import rate per amiibo they get from Nintendo like if I was to buy something from Japan. But I don't know how bad he prices could be for a single person. I paid only $20 for my Marth amiibo from Japan with shipping and taxes and normally import rates make the products a lot higger, like when I buy music from Japan. I think Japan sellers just don't give a hoot anymore which how many amiibo they appear to have.

Re: Don't Hold Your Breath On Those Marth amiibo Restocks

tsukipon

@Kami2Kami that doesn't make sense in this case. When there are lots of stock, prices drop because of a surplus and the need to clear product from the shelves. There doesn't seem to be that much demand when there is that much stock, according to what other people are saying amiibo stock in the UK looks like right now.

Yeah, I took economics too. I don't live in the UK so I don't know the amiibo situation so I can only go by what others are saying. Many commentsz not just here, talk about amiibo surplus and I even bought some from the UK cheaper than what I would've pad for here by a scalper because "why the heck not" was the description.

Thus. I'm confused why prices would go up when there seemingly is plenty of stock and in the US prices stay the same even though we rarely have anything. The only ones whose price drops are the "common ones" to get rid of the surplus like I explained above.

Re: Don't Hold Your Breath On Those Marth amiibo Restocks

tsukipon

Thank goodness I bought mine from Japan for just $5 more than it was over here including shipping. I normally don't bother but the amiibi scalpers in the US are our of control, camping oline with friends to buy out stock like the guy who hated Rosalina and bought her so others couldnt have it like what????

Do they pull that kind of stunts in the UK? Or is it just my crappy country >_>

Re: Parent Trap: Splatoon Is The Perfect Family Firepower-Fest

tsukipon

@Kirk I thibk thay the issue with multiple gamepads comes down to was cost. Since the WiiU continues to do not so good, and the fact that Nintendo canceled a lot of bundles because they couldn't afford to stock then anymore shows why they wouldn't sell gamepads separately, thus having multiple ones per system wasn't an option. I doubt that if they stocked it like a controller that people would have bought it because I assume the price would be higher than what people want. I don't think they could afford to stock gamepads separately alongside a system that wasn't selling that good to begin with.

Re: Review: Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains (3DS)

tsukipon

The biggest curiosity to me was controls and the plot of the game. I like the story so I still want to try it.. on bargain. I am the type of person who can't play a game with shorty gameplay, no matter the story, but of course it depends of the level of issues. I'll wait to see it on sale, or maybe if a friend buys it - I can borrow it.

Re: Parent Trap: Splatoon Is The Perfect Family Firepower-Fest

tsukipon

@arojilla the lack of the 4 player local gameplay is probably to stop screen-hacking. I understand why. I don't know about 2 local vs 2 online or 2 player local playing online in general as in MK8 but it has been confirmed to have a 2 player local mode where one uses the gamepad and the other uses the controller.

Re: Iwata: 3DS Has Plenty Of Room For Growth, Female Gamers Key To Console's Continued Success In Japan

tsukipon

"Target the female market" is a step in the right direction, what with other companies continuing to treat the female demographic poorly with creating unrelatabke female characters or not having them at all (Assassin's Creed Unity, Final Fantasy XV, Metal Gear Solid V). I've never had an issue like that with Nintendo. They continue to do a good job when it cones to their games, with almost every one of then having a female character to play as, at least.

I like how they marketed Splatoon with showing mostly the girls and watching responses of men going, "why aren't there any boys?" But whont question why ACU didn't have female avatar customization or why FFXV won't have female party members.

I just hope that when they mean marketing to girls, they don't mean flooding everything with pink and releasing lame titles. More games that offer female and male character creations or selections please.

Also... Since we are on the topic. Girl's Mode 3 to America then?
