Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Pokémon Legends: Z-A?

tsukipon

Very excited! Pre-ordered and downloaded. I'm glad they didn't just forget about Kalos and I hope it has a good resolution to the story. Though I love Johto and sad we didn't get the supposed leaked legends Johto but maybe they'll revisit it copium

@Navi proceeds to be overly rude

If people still enjoy playing Pokemon, so be it. There's nothing wrong with that and they shouldn't be shamed for it. If you don't like the games, that's fine, nothing wrong with that, but it's a tired argument that pokemon is a game for kids. Also not everyone cares about the anti-TPC commentary or can still enjoy playing games in spite of valid criticisms. I don't care if a grown man was playing Hello Kitty Island Adventure. Let people enjoy things. We need to normalize just not like something without bashing the fan base.

Re: Miyamoto Views Games As 'Products', Not 'Works Of Art', Says Ex-Nintendo Dev

@BlackenedHalo that isn't even remotely true. A product is an item produced by a comapny meant to be sold. I am not sure where you came to this idea that products are only something to be sold and thrown away without any emotional attachment. Your misunderstanding of what a product is doesn't make games any less of a product, or why that is such a bad thing.

I think a lot of people are getting into a tiff over this statement that not only came from a third party, but didn't exclusively say that he didn't see games as art, but rather they focus on the product itself, implying that he wants it to appeal to a broader audience. Both things can still exist but you have to look at it from a business prospective.

Re: Genshin Impact Zelda "Clone" Accusations Had Dev Team In Tears

@Safhier there is.notning "Boomer" about calling the gacha model parasitic or just plain scummy. It is. That is the point. It is designed to make you spend money. One of the reasons why genshin has so much success is because they amount of work and effort they put into it overall makes it feel like it's worth it. However, this is a game they could have made as a standalone. Less characters, more actual "main story." And I say this as a long time genshin player. Let's not defend this kind of game model. They just managed to do a less scummy gacha.

Re: Did Nintendo Just Spoil Fire Emblem: Three Houses' Killer Twist?

TBH, it is a shame they had to spoil it because so many people "disappointed" with the school mechanic. I thought it was a nice change of pace, keeping the core mechanics while doing something new. Oh well, it is what it is. Would have loved to be bamboozled. Still getting the game regardless.

Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield Gets November Release Date And Special Double Pack Release

I'm generally easy going when it comes to pokemon games but I'm not entirely sold on the giant pokemon gimmick but what is a pokemon game without a gimmick? I'll leave my judgments after playing it. I also think the legends look....bad.

However, for everything else I am really excited. I love all of the new pokemon they showed so far. Especially that evil crow. And even though I'm not feeling the giant pokemon, I do like the little raid mechanic they are introducing. If it goes well, we may get...a pokemon mmo (fingers crossed). Gamefreak pulling out all the stops for their main series console debut. Gonna preorder that double pack for me and my sis.

Re: Natsume Talks About its Future Plans for the 3DS

@Freelance I disliked The Lost Valley because it was bad. I didn't even know it wasn't actually from Marvelous or that Marvelous was actually the dev and not Natsume at the time.

Also, their Hometown Story was awful too but forgetting that, I don't know or care if they are good at making other games, they aren't good at making Harvest Moon games.

Re: Natsume Talks About its Future Plans for the 3DS

I honestly have no hooe for Harvest Moon as a franchise with Natsume running it. They are not good at making games that people have come to associate the title Harvest Moon. I could care less for this new eyesore. It is a good think Bokumono (I believe is the Japanese name) belongs to Marvelous. Because even if the name isn't the same, we can still get Harvest Moon quality games from them.
