I've never used the Wii Zapper but I have fond memories of the NES Zapper. My brother who never played it during its time actually really enjoyed it. Because the way the Wii works now, he expected the NES Zapper to work well and it still does. Nintendo tech ftw.
I'm a big Style Savvy fan. Every new feature of this game makes me want it,like the translating Miis into cute girls... I'll be really disappointed if it doesn't get released in America, especially since we got the first two.
I generally dislike people who have to add their two cents on things that don't even matter to them and reply with useless comments. But enough with this rant...
As for me, I've been a die hard Pokemon fan since its creation and I never regret any of the money I put into this franchise. I could honestly go without console games. I would like a newer and shinier stadium, not that Pokemon revolution failure, and that's really it for me. More 3DS versions please!
This is actually a good law, and I think America should have it too. Nothing like kids shelling out their parents money for in-app purchases because its made to look like a quick action just to grab some gems or special dollars. They take away from the feel of a real monetary transaction.
I have been waiting for Donkey Kong 64 forever on the Virtual Console. Probably my fave DK game of all time, but I'm also eagerly waiting for the Mii Plaza DLC as well.
@DBPirate I don't think you have to change it. I'm really bad with telling the difference between sarcasm and serious...ness. Sorry for misinterpreting. ^^;
@DBPirate is that sarcasm or are you serious? There are plenty of adults, including young adults with a 3DS system, considering longtime Nintendo fans who were kids when the GameBoy became a thing.
The adults who play on the Nintendo 3DS are long-time Nintendo fans who play games on the systems. Why would they trade a more dynamic gaming experience for a smartphone? This logic baffles me.
I pulled my vote straight from my activity lost on my 3DS and I was pretty disappointed that some games in my top ten weren't on the list.
On another note, I can't believe LBW is the top most played game. I only have 27hrs clocked in and I 100% the game and its street pass challenges, but I guess people like to play it cuz its fun.
I really though animal crossing would have been higher
The region locks don't bother me. I don't speak or read Japanese so I wouldn't import their games and I don't import their systems cuz why would I? But I do feel bad for those who want the smaller new 3DS. I was happy since I like XL and MAJORA'S MASK!!!! but some people don't like to play on bricks and I respect that. Also, the faceplates are a cool idea and if the UK can get it, I don't see why we can't. I hope they do bring it here.
Also, don't buy a Japanese 3DS for this. It'll probably get patched and you'll be upset.
I completely agree with this review. I made the mistake of purchasing the title and well, I beat it completely within a day despite how repetitive it was. I guess I was hoping for something more to come with time. After a while. I stopped even playing the mini games and just kept growing the plants according to request until the animal shops were maxed out and I had everything shop tickets could buy. Definitely does not belong in the Mama series.
I thought this was incredibly poor taste. There should be a line between marketing, and being an ass and EBay crossed it here.
On another topic, it is not a simple answer to just not buy from.scalpers. Then what? Hope they'll lower the price to something reasonable, but when will that be? For this amiibo, waiting is a good option ,but what about other products, like the new 3DS XL? Scalpers and fans willing to pay to own product is never going to really change. The only thing that can is how Nintendo and other retailers handle situations like this in the future.
@Quorthon the problem is that they can't get the item from anyone else other than the scalpers. The only other option is to never own it and some fans can't live with that
I wasn't sure if I wanted to download it because of the microtransactions. I don't like having a limit to how much I can play since I usually play for long periods of time. I'll probably get Trozei instead
I am glad Nintendo is being slow here. I don't want the fiasco that is the current gaming industry on Xbox and PS4 where games are lacking in so much content and then they charge you an arm and for dlc. I never have a problem with content and value when it comes to Nintendo titles. To.me , the dlc just enhances my experience in their games, not makes up for them. I'm looking at you Destiny...
@WolfyWardark I totally agree. Like I do EV training to do online competitions but it's not really my style to focus on IVs and EVs like I do my best but I know there are people who breathe this stuff. Personally, I don't care about natures just having fun with my team in the regular story.
@seb5049 it doesn't matter what the numbers say when it comes to my preference and opinion. I personally like the ST regimens because it isn't about how much EVs I get because I personally think it's really fun shooting targets and whatnot versus constant battling so that's why I prefer it. I don't play a certain way because it is the most effective or the "best way". I play to have fun and ST regimens are fun for me.
@AlphaAlex I train each Pokemon differently so I don't want the same EV stats on them but it would make sense this way if I was training pokemon similarly.
It's a good idea with the horde but I think super training is a lot better especially when you get certain punching bags to double.your stats in the next training.
@StuOhQ I understand what you mean like people who enjoy movies don't have to know silent film classics but moviebuffs often do and watch them and I know that the C64 was a thing and that's all that should matter because I don't have to play it or know the titles of games you could play on it to validate myself as a gamer, hardcoee or otherwise.
I consider myself a game because I play a broad spectrum of titles for more than 20 hours a week. Some are competitive. Some are casual and I've been playing games literally since I was 2 years old. Including some learning games for the PC my father showed me. I played every major console in the US besides any PC types except for the Sega Saturn. What I'm basically saying is that games hab.be been a Parr of my life forever. I grew up near the start of the console gaming systems like Nintendo and Sega and PlayStation. I wouldn't know what to do without video games. And there are kids like that whose earliest system is probably the PlayStation or the Xbox and theyve played games all their life with probably no access to any other console. At that age, those kids can only know about wbat theur parents buy into the hkuse. My friend has never owned a Nintendo product in her life albeit she knows what one is cuz she is my friend but there are other people who probably never experienced it and would not know what it is.
I think for the most part gaming is more than just knowing the oldest system and I wouldn't call someone a true gamer just for knowing that. Its more of a lifestyle in my opinion and if you have a passion for gaming, you should be considered a true gamer.
Gamephile (like cinephile) is what I'd call that person who knows those things simply to know rather than those that actually experienced it.
@StuOhQ I disagree with this. I know it existed and I know people played games on it but I wouldn't recognize one if I saw it and I don't think that matters. It doesn't make anyone less than a gamer. If you're interested fine, but actually thinking that one is superior because they know about systems they didn't even own or play is foolish. Not everyone has to take interest in gaming bistort to appreciate modern day games.
A gamer is a person who plays games. Plain and simple.
@KromCompany they didn't grow up with it so what. You knowing all that doesn't mean a thing either. They don't have to know or care about the old or original consoles to be able to play games. There aren't people buying CDs going, "oh gee I like this band but you.know records and stuff" or using their phone while knowing how to use or even what a rotary phone is. It doesn't make them stupid they just simply don't know because they weren't really exposed to it.
You can like and appreciate gaming consoles all the way to their start but I don't think other kids should or have to.
But I do agree with you about that girl with the phone case. Its like when kids wear ACDC shirts and don't even know the band and only are wearing it because its trending.
@NintendoFan64 I don't see what the big deal about them not knowing the consoles. They didn't even grow up with them. Some young people might because maybe they seen it and were interested or maybe their parents owned it but I don't think it matters.
@SanderEvers I knew that. My father vividly described it as a piece of junk whose controls were hard as hell to use and was happy wheb Microsoft PCs came through with their gaming. I think he played Doom on it before even buying the SNES and the game. I only played Doom for the SNES and it wasn't until I was 15 that I played my first PC game o.o
In general its like you don't have to know about that or even the NES to like and play games just like you don't need to know a record player to appreciate music. Times change and technology advances and that is life.
@SanderEvers if that's sarcasm, then fine but if that is serious of course i dont really know what it is but with the power and magic of the internet I have a general idea. I doubt you know what it is or ever touched one.
