Exactly, I don't think many people questioned his skill and thought he was a fraud it was more him lying and being exposed. I feel like if he just came out and said it was M.A.M.E and then did this his image would look a lot better because it still doesn't make us not believe his original scores we're done on real arcade hardware.

The N64 one looks weird due to the weird layout the 64 controller had. I think it would have looked better with all yellow face buttons and the start and select buttons colored like the A and B buttons, or the thumbsticks colored like the A and B buttons.

The plushes we're already available by fangamer and the digital code is sent by the retailer itself. TC did say they we're going to continue looking for a way to get a physical release out there but it will be in smaller quantities.

How is the weight distribution? I feel like it would be more comfortable if the joy cons we're raised a little higher.

Bought it even though I own both things already mainly to support TC in hopes they'll release a physical edition later down the line.

Yeah I'm sooo behind, I just finished Xenoblade 2(I cried during the end) and I want to replay the entire Kingdom Hearts series to get ready for 3 cause I haven't played them in forever. From what I've heard from people that played it so far they said it's fun which is really all I care about so hopefully early 2019 I'll make time, I'm not into competitive battling or anything I play to catch pokemon and the story.

I was in 6th grade when red and blue came out, I'm 31 years old now and still love the series I won't be buying Pokemon Go mainly because I have too many other games in my backlog but it's a shame to see consumer tactics like this employed that hurts the company and won't lead to better pokemon games.

Nintendo knows it's nostalgia sells, I just don't think hiding it behind their online sub is the best way in the long run and hope they change their mind. The VC was a way to purchase great retro games and I feel like this will also increase piracy if they don't release enough content since you can download almost any emulator on a hacked switch.

This stinks but it's not unexpected. I hope they keep the online guides for a bit since those are the ones I actually use but I'm going to miss collecting strategy guides.

I don't think waiting a year to release this was the best decision since it is underwhelming but we all knew Nintendo was behind in the online game so anyone who was expecting the service to rival PS or MS weren't being realistic. I really hate the phone app though that thing friggin sucks.

Honestly the NES games doesn't do anything for me since I have the classic, I mainly got it for Splatoon and the cloud saves for peace of mind and save scumming with Smash in mind as well. I do hope the service gets better over time offering more than NES games and discounts since mynintendo only has wii u and 3ds discounts but I'm glad they finally started taking online seriously since Nintendo is seriously behind in that regard.

Hori actually made a fight pad which had 6 face buttons and shoulder buttons but no rolling d-pad. The 6 button controller really only shines in fighting games and sports games though which is why it's still used for fighting controllers.

They gut games and try to sell them as new so they can have display copies even though Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Target do not do this. Yet if you open the game in front of an associate in the store and try to return it they will tell you it is used. They also allow their employees take home games and play them even if it's the only used copy left in the store.

This gave me a good laugh although this article is probably doing more harm than good because we all know they just made the statement to get free publicity and people will buy this stupid thing because they now know it exists.

I definitely don't think an n64 mini is coming this yes. I remember preordering my NES classic for toys r us in July the year it came out and the release date was like November and it was announced before toys r us had them for preorder. The snes classic I believe took preorders in July last year and released late september so yeah I highly doubt they'll release it this year plus they probably still want to sell more nesc and snesc which are still on the shelves.

Also while I don't believe that an n64 mini will be releasing soon I still don't know if the pictures are actually fake. They could be real for an early prototype since it does take a long time to develop these things if they plan on releasing this sometime next year. Also if it was a prototype it would explain the font and things since prototypes usually don't add a lot of details.

We all know piracy will never go away and to some it's a looked at as a deadly sin but I don't think the entire emulation community is a bad thing. I think it is a good thing we have people that care enough to dump all these games for preservation purposes when a lot of these games are missing it's original source code being able to play powerfest 94 is awesome.

Also the emulation community growing shows companies like nintendo and sony that people still care about retro games and gives them an incentive to makes things like nesc and snesc.. Also sometimes emulation is by far the best way to play some of these retro games when companies just don't care about the porting with a lot of emulation developers spending countless hours developing an emulator for free.

Let's not also forget some of these games are just downright impossible to get and the only person you'd be supporting is a scalper/collector. I'm not saying piracy is good in anyway and if there'es a readily available way to get your retro fix and support developers and companies then I'm all for it but let's not lump every single downloadable rom as a downright sin.

It's a shame Nintendo has taken so long to delve into online gaming but I'm glad they're finally taking the initiative and although it's a bummer we finally have to pay, if we ever want to see an online service that can rival sony's or microsofts it has to start somewhere and it needs support.

I really wish this game had a post game or some dlc. Just got my 2 GALF NES games(one white, one green) and the CE from LRG.

I feel like the NES classic maybe was aimed at that type of person but I feel like it hit a chord with people that still game but prefer retro games. We wouldn't have virtual console libraries or ps1 classic libraries if these didn't cater to a large demographic. Also I've seen many new gamers fall in love with 2d platformers/2d metroidvania with games like shovel knight, dead cells, hollow knight etc.

I for one hope this sells well because maybe this will get the ip going again kind of like what the mega man legacy collection did for mega man and finally gettting 11 after almost a decade.

If you said this 2 years ago I would have agreed but after the NES Classic hype I don't know anymore. Sony obviously thinks it's history can still sell otherwise I don't think they would have jumped on the classic mini train in the first place but only time will tell.

We've also seen the opposite, Bayonetta 2 and SFV which still hold exclusivity to their platforms. We can all agree konami hasn't been doing the castlevania ip any favors besides the netflix series so I can totally see Sony going to Konami for this.

For some it's people who like collecting for others it's for people that don't like purchasing digital games and prefer buying physical. I don't expect you to understand the reasoning just know there are many reasons otherwise it wouldn't be so popular with more and more titles getting physical releases and similar companies popping up.

Pretty sure you need to purchase both games within 3 days of eachother so if you wanted to do the regular copies you could do Yooka and Furi or Furi and Golf Story but not all 3 and CE usually sell out too fast to combine them unless you do it with a regular edition.

Glad I cancelled my preorder 3 weeks ago which stinks because anyone allured to this game especially for the fan service(ie me) probably grew up or is really into fighting games but the simplicity really turned me off in more than one way. I also think this was SNK being lazy which is usually the case with fan service games and not really them coming up with a beginner friendly fighting game but thats just me. Good thing Neo Geo international preorders go on sale soon.

@redd214 I have the clear turquoise shells. If you like clicky d-pads it's fine, it feels a lot like the 3ds d-pad which I like for 2d platformers but I actually like rolling d-pads for fighters. Also I had to sand down parts on the right joy con shell otherwise the "+" button would stick, apparently the molding is a little off for the right one but you can fine tutorials/pics on which parts to sand down in a google search.

@BitLounger I think basstop makes transparent plates for the official pro controllers and I'm pretty sure you just need to unscrew a few screws to switch the faceplates.

I really hope we get more fight sticks for the switch, the hori isn't bad but it's more mid market and I personally don't really like their proprietary hardware but it's all we really have unless you want to get like a brooks converter.

I don't mind them changing a storefront picture as long as they leave gameplay alone but you gotta wonder if this is kinda misleading I can definitely see some people buying this and not getting what they we're expecting hopefully they look at the screenshots.

@EmberTune I agree that we are not there yet as a society but I don't think we're doing ourselves any favors by censoring everything and don't think we'll actually start to change the way of thinking until then but I do believe we both want for the same thing in the end despite the difference in opinion so to each his own and let's just hope for a better tomorrow.

@EmberTune I agree things taken out of context even with best of intentions can be offensive but the idea is to be able to tell the difference between then thats when true progress is made. Saying anything that has any white character/person wearing black face paint should not be viewed doesn't seem like progress. How about we just teach our kids better and the ability to distinguish between racism and a character dressing up like a pokemon because I feel like thats an actual way to beat racism as an idea and not just hide behind anything that can be mistaken for it because that just seems like misinformed.

@EmberTune Blackface was a horrible practice done but how do we ever get away from it and that way of thinking by banning this. If we're saying that a pokemon episode that we all can agree wasn't practicing blackface nor trying to display racism is dangerous then I think we're heading backwards and banning this shows that racism is obviously a big hurdle that still lurks in the back of people's mind if this is dangerous enough to ban.
@Fath It's not blackface, one is a cartoon character dressing up as a pokemon. Blackface was a horrible theatre act to make black people often times look dumb and was wholly racist. The first is only racist when people's mind gravitate to that and make that connection.

It's crazy the censoring that is done in the west and how no child's mind would even go there but now that is what this episode will be remembered for. It's up to parent's to teach their kids about morals and how to think not the fcc.

Both batches of the collector's edition sold out in around a minute, I was online as soon as it went live and put one in my cart but I also added the trading cards and pin which took around a minute and it was sold out when I went to finally checkout but luckily I got one from the 6pm batch but that sold out just as quickly and was sold out a little after I finished my checkout, and this was done as soon as it went live.

And this is why Sega is no longer is the console business, just a horrible decision. Theres a reason why you find dollar general and walgreens littered with atgames products.

It's nice but I'd rather shell out the money for a Super NT. Still not as bad as charging $70 for cardboard(looking at you Nintendo)

I think it's using the same cadence of chords just in different keys and the rhythm is similar but I rarely ever believe plagiarism in music especially based on her past work. Also writing a song isn't the same as writing a term paper especially for composers and changing a few words to plagiarize either if you did hear a song you like and you we're going to plagiarize it there's so many more ways to mask it so people couldn't easy identify it.

Preordered this along with Pokemon Crystal VC from GAME but I hope Nintendo brings this to NA as well

One can only hope I mean they sell individual right and left ones why not just make a left one with a d-pad! I'd even take a third party one from a good peripheral company like Hori but I don't think we'll be seeing third party joy-cons anytime soon. Speaking of the 30th anniversary edition I got my iam8bit street fighter 2 30th anniversary edition last week!

I don't know if this will sync with the bluetooth adapter for the NES/SNES mini but it has upgradeable firm so i'm sure if it doesn't then it will eventually but they're also making a SNES Mini one but it's not bluetooth it's 2.4 so there might be a little lag and also theres no analog sticks but you can access the home menu from the controller with down and select

I don't know if the reviewer got a special copy or what but it's almost impossible to pull off diagonals and since this controller was made for fighting games hence the name fighting commander it's practically useless for me. I only bought this for street fighter and you can't dodge or pull off combos without diagonal controls so I don't know if the reviewer got paid to just hype this up with fluff, got some reviewer copy that didn't have this defect, or just didn't test it out on street fighter which would be crazy but do NOT buy if you wan't 8 way directional controls. And if you see an 4 or 5 star review on a retailer site chances are that the person didn't use it for street fighter or doesn't care but all the 1 and 2 star reviews out there are deserved, HORI which produces great gaming accessories and excellent peripherals really dropped the ball on this one, seems like they rushed it out of the factory and into the stores too soon.

I was tempted to pick this up since I've been tired of downloading roster hacks for the original R.B.I on the NES but these reviews are scaring me away, I'll prob wait til a price drop cause this really does scream smartphone version.

I love my A40's especially the mixamp pro so I'll prob start messing around with a rig next week when I pick up Splatoon but will probably have to use Team Speak though I really hope Nintendo integrates a voice chat app into the system in the future because I prefer voice chat and game audio together. I've been looking for a new wireless headset after my A50's gen2 broke so I might look into the 800s like you suggested because I'm not to sure about the new A50's. It was nice talking with you as well and I totally agree about the toxicity of posts I feel a lot of people don't think they need to respect other people since they're protected by the anonymity the internet provides.

This can be done with the Nintendo app too? I know you can set things up with Team Speak and Dischord I have my Astro A40 split with my PS4 and my computer or phone so I can hear the game audio and have voice chat through team speak all out of my headset for FFXIV, so I know about splitting channels but there most likely won't be a true wireless system with voice chat especially in portable mode unless we get some hardware changes on the switch or the in the joy cons and to have to go through an app is ridiculous it's up there with no Netflix and no save manager.

Hori couldn't do a wireless headset because the system doesn't allow for it hence why you have to use a smartphone app for chat. And I'm pretty sure you can't get chat hooked up with the Katana HD's with only 1 wire since it needs to hook up to the phone with the adapter that comes with the Splatoon one or the one pictured above and even then I don't know it it would be compatible with the drivers for chat.

Seriously Nintendo it's 2017! I know Nintendo is relatively new to online gaming services and the like but it's not like it hasn't been done before they have models to go by. I hope they add BT in the next Switch revision(like the GBA SP backlit screens) or add it to the Joy-Con's with a FW update that could allow BT compatible headsets kind of like how they added the motion plus to the wiimotes.

love the gameplay and really lost myself at times with the gun customization, wish a little bit more went into the story you know something to give you a reason to care about but this is a collaboration game where gameplay was the main focus, that being said I actually really liked the story in azure gunvolt on the 3ds.

Theres paying homage(i.e. Shovel Knight) and theres ripping off(i.e. The Great Giana Sisters) and this seems more like the latter. It looks like all the puzzles were taken straight from Zelda games (torches, arrow targets, even a beamos lol) and this was just from the trailer.
