We can't wait for Bayonetta 3 to land on the Switch on 16th February next year. In this climactic sequel to the critically acclaimed Bayonetta action game, players will be on the edge of their seats from start to finish. Brimming with jaw-dropping battles and gorgeous cut scenes, this game never lets up on the action, and has been reborn on Nintendo Switch.
Bayonetta - Special Edition of course includes Bayonetta 2 on a Nintendo Switch game card, along with a download code for the original Bayonetta, a SteelBook and Bayonetta-themed stickers and Verse Cards. This bundle also includes a free Bayonetta A3 poster.
You can pick it up from the Nintendo UK Store today for only £69.99. Better act quickly as the Amazon UK preorder sold out quite fast.

Pretty sure that Bayonetta 3 isn’t dropping in February
Very disappointing that collections like this and Resident Evil are missing physical content or in RE's case all of it in Europe. It puts me right off because I don't need to own them, I have them already physically on Wii U. Plus they've put no major effort into the ports but are still asking for full price.
"That ain't workin' that's the way you do it
Money for nothin' and the gick ain't free"
If this included the physical copy of Bayonetta 1 i would've bought it in a heartbeat but since i have the special edition on Wii U, not so tempting. I'll pass. I would've paid higher price for the physical game included and i can't be bothered to import the special edition from Japan , but I envy.
I echo some other views. I'm fortunate enough to own both Bayo 1 & 2 for the WiiU and unless nearer launch I hear details which elevate the Switch versions dramatically above the WiiU I'll certainly be passing. Still, nice to see both games reaching a new/bigger audience, much, much unappreciated gems.
I've pre-ordered but I'm not sure how bothered I am as I've never really got into these games. I've the first game on the Xbox through GWG so maybe I'll give it a try before the Switch version surfaces.
Really seems stingy they can't put the first game on a cart, even if it was the same cart for both games.
pre-ordered instantly from Game UK, get my reward points!
Bayonetta 3 is NOT coming out in February as the article states.
Also, the bundle does not include a "free" Bayonetta A3 poster, since you are PAYING for the bundle...
kewl
@Pazuzu666 They are both overrated if you ask me. The only reason Bayonetta 2 was highly appreciated is because it was one of the few exclusive mature titles on the Wii U. The gameplay was incredibly monotonous and uninspired.
I'd rather see a Mad World remaster or successor. Now that was an underrated gem.
This was available last night so bagged my special edition, but also the normal edition (With 1&2) is also available on Amazon UK
A couple of old ports and some tat for £70. lol
Does anyone know when payment is taken on pre orders from the Nintendo store uk as its saying pay now don’t have the funds right now but I will have in February. I can’t find any info on the store to say it’s taken now or when it’s sent out
@Gs69 It takes the money out a couple of days before the release date. Or not if you use American Express, they accept the card but when you try and pay there is an error. Talked to them and they say they cannot accept them. What a load of crap.
Absolutely idiotic. A true collector would want physical copies of BOTH games as opposed to all of that useless crap in an inexplicably oversized box.
I get third parties being miserly dirtbags, but Nintendo? I'll only buy the Australian collector's edition if I can get my hands on a Japanese retail copy of Bayonetta 1. I may as well be patient and try to get the Japanese box instead as I strongly doubt that the Western release's steelbook is going to include a slot for a second cartridge.
It's absolutely ridiculous that this "collector's edition" costs AU$120, almost double what I paid for the Wii U retail package (AU$70) and that included BOTH games on disc!
Do I actually need this? I have it ordered on Amazon uk at the moment. I'll hold onto it but, meh, do I need stickers, cards, and a steel case that will all be left in a press, idk.
Thanks for the replies I will go for it now just didn’t want them to take the money at Christmas
@BigKing : we are all entitled to our opinions of course, but “monotonous” and “uninspired” are two of the least likely words I would describe the Bayonetta games. They were a thrill ride for me.
Looks like it worth the money
"We can't wait for Bayonetta 3 to land on the Switch on 16th February next year."
Wait what?!?! B3 is out in less than 2 months? When did that happen? Why are you guys trolling me so early in the morning and why hasn't anybody corrected this yet? ugh, TW hasn't even left yet and the place is falling apart, I'm going back to bed
I've got that large Wii U special edition that has both games plus some massive book or something. To my shame I haven't played either of the games yet and I've had it from launch!
I really need to stop being enticed by special editions. I've managed to miss the Fire Emblem Warriors and Xenoblade 2 special editions for Switch and I haven't come up in a rash or anything, so things are looking up! I'll be missing this one too, especially as I don't have a Switch and won't be getting one anytime soon.
@BigKing huh? Madworld was good, don't get me wrong, but neither Bayonetta 1 or 2 were "overrated" due to their exclusivity and far, far better games than Madworld, if comparisons are required. Madworld was mostly style over substance where as Bayonetta 1 and 2 offer both style AND substance in spades.
Sleek package, though I really think they ought to include the first game as a physical copy as well, when they're making this big a deal of it.
I'm guessing that there is no point in importing the Japanese version as everything would be in Japanese or would it be a setting that can be changed - never imported a game before so I'm curious as I really like the idea of 2 carts
Do Nintendo send stuff out early?
Dat Switch box art tho... SEXY!
Well, that is a disappointing LE.
What a joke to call this nonsense a "Special Edition", cheap and useless fluff in a giant box while one of the 2 games is digital only.
The Xenolblade 2 CE was awesome with a sound selection CD and a really great artbook, but this Bayo CE just annoys me as a cheap scam to milk a little bit more money out of consumers for a fake feeling of owning a "superior" version.
"We can't wait for Bayonetta 3 to land on the Switch on 16th February next year."
This site is getting so lazy. Obviously another rushed 'cash in' affiliated article with absolutely no research done first.
The fact that this hasn't even been corrected yet is beyond sloppy.
For the love of all that is good and holy, please bring this to NA. PLEASE!!!!
@SLIGEACH_EIRE It was somewhat more understandable with Revelations collection, given that RE: R2 never game to Wii U.
I completely agree with you with Bayonetta though. No doubt it has something to do with the notorious "switch tax". Smh.
Preordered this along with Pokemon Crystal VC from GAME but I hope Nintendo brings this to NA as well
Steelbook 😍
Mirroring several complaints; Bayonetta 1 being a digital download killed any chance of me getting this. Will get a standard edition possibly after a price drop as I don’t personally value a digital copy as much.
Poor showing Nintendo; very poor showing.
@FX102A Ditto, I've got motivation of picking up the collector's edition without a physical of both 1 and 2.
Until someone can confirm if the Japanese version contains English I'm just going to give it a miss for now.
Nice package but... Stickers and cards? And NO physical copy of the first game? I'm gonna pass. Even considering to not get the no-so-special edition for the same reason and wait to buy it second hand.
