Re: Talking Point: Does Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Rollout Of Event Updates Make It Feel 'Incomplete'?

@Sean161 Me instead of completely stopping: I just log in for a few min check prices and sell/buy turninps + some island shaping if I feel like it. That's it. No more grinding for resources etc.

Turnips trading covers money so no need to grind and sell. I will decorate/shape my island so I will need some stuff but I can do it for weeks, months no need to hurry now Like 1 bench a day lol or replant 2 flowers, that's it xD

I have been complaining a lot how this game is overrated boring etc.

Now that I have got everything I wanted I feel like making this place my really 2nd home it feels so nice and I have gone into past and I have hundreds of hours behind me and I know something new still awaits...

Yeah it is kind of poor in comparison to e.g. Stardew Valley but it has it all planned for a year to still feel fresh somehow... and it somehow still works.

It is a unique and amazing game (could it be made more enjoyable and less boring? sure, all this chopping, mining, etc. could be made in some mini game thing or something) lots of stuff to improve gameplay wise but it is really well made and planned.

Logging every single day for a few minutes, now that I have all I wanted I just build up and shape my island like I want it which is super relaxing and chilling, just making it my home. So many hours and still things to improve etc. I enjoy it the way it is. I guess. Hopefully the next game in the series will expand and give players more fun stuff to do.

Overall, I prefer it that way/ Sooner you've seen it all, sooner you will get bored with it. So far it still has my interest since the lunch so it must be working

Stardew Valley > Animal Crossing

  • you don't see FREE DLC UPDATE all over the place rubbing it in like in AC or other "bigger".

If I could I would be more than glad to go back in time NOT buy repetitive/boring/mindlessly time consuming and not fun to play AC pukes and give all the money to Eric instead...

I am literally scared to buy more Nintendo exclusives because nintendolife's rating is just a joke and all those games being good and all they lack something crucial.

  • Zelda botw
  • Mario Kart 8
  • Animal Crossing

all good but still missing something big time...

I literally have much more fun playing Duke Nukem or other "little"/older games (The Flame in the Flood, Rogue Aces, tons of others) than those supposedly 10/10 big hits...

Going back to topic...

SV wipes the floor with ac.

Re: Animal Crossing Director Views New Horizons As The Start Of The Series' "Third Generation"

@Dog yea they are very similar but still I feel like AC really lacks content and gameplay... it feels like a doll house simulator + some interactions with npcs.

It feels like a stripped down/poor version of Stardev Valley, The Sims all rounded in nice and cute factor. That's it. Lacks depth and fun factor.

This is like a few years back phone game.

If all AC games were like that before I can really rest my mind that I have not played them.

This game is just poor. Once you look under the beautiful cover, there's nothing really there. Almost every game in similar genre will give you much more in almost every aspect./

Re: Super Soccer Blast Shoots And Scores On Switch This Month

Looks much more interesting and fun than fifa to me.

The gameplay looks fun and solid. Add an amazing online multiplayer, ranking, leagues, seasonal events, championships etc.

and you have insta hit/classic for years.

It's that simple... yet so hard to achieve...

Re: Random: Not All Animal Crossing Players Are Having Happy Wedding Seasons

tgchan

Totally awesome~!! I have visited them twice so far and I already have enough...

The whole game feels like 20% gameplay 80% wasting your time doing dumb/meaningless/boring stuff...

Really... This game is great and awful at the same time...

It's nice to see people juicing it out creatively though.

It feels like an interactive doll house toy more than a game...

Re: Have You Spotted The Switch eShop's New Sales Filter?

tgchan

@BANJO on ps4 store that rating didn't work at all. Almost all games were 4/5 or 5/5. OR maybe I haven't seen as much crap as on Nintendo store lol/

But yea, some kind of rating wouldn't hurt. But solid filter via rating&discount and other combination of 2-3 filters would get the job done.
