JRPG is my favorite genre, cant wait!!!!! Ps: I like to game hop. You know, play a bit of one game then change to an other game for a while. Here is what I played so far today: splatoon 2, Mario odyssey, arms, Mario cart 8, Zelda botw. I can’t put into words how good the switch has turned out to be. It is far and away my favorite console of all time and it has not even been out a year. I said games would make or break the system; I just can’t believe how amazing the game line up is already.
I have been using motion controls since release cos it was the ‘right thing to do’ i couldn’t get out of b rank, yesterday i switched back to stick controls and went straight to s rank. WTF.
Dear Nintendo. Congrats on your 128th birthday! Can you please make me a switch that runs splatoon2 at 1080p consistently with some AA thrown in for good measure? I promise to buy lots of them. Thanks so much.
Can't believe the number of people posting that they have decided not to buy one yet. I respect your decision however as someone that loves video games I believe all current gen systems are worth buying. Your just missing out on some great games.
10/10 yay!!! i know a review is just someone else's view and different people are going to like different games. but when you like a game as much as i like splatoon its nice to see it get a great score from others as well
@Dpullam personally i think the pro controller is an absolute must have. the sticks have about twice the movement in them compared to the joy cons, i feel like thats an advantage in multiplayer as it just feels more accurate. but even in games like breath of the wild the pro controller feels heaps better. i couldn't recommend it enough.
This was the first time a got to use a pro controller for splatoon2. I don’t use motion controls but was super impressed with how high quality the sticks felt. As expected the game is silky smooth and plays great. Can’t wait for Friday
@Grudgebearer
I will admit it is hard to recommend the switch if someone could only get one of the consoles on the market right now. Most people would probably prefer other consoles because of the game library that is already there. (I feel that horizon zero dawn is one of the best games ever made) Personally though I would happily pick the switch over any other console purely for splatoon 2. Everything else on switch is just a bonus, and I’m getting tones of fun out of arms
It is true Nintendo has become isolated. And yes the Switch is definitely another step in that direction, but the company is not short of money and I like to think that Nintendo can nowadays survive quite well doing its own thing in its own way. The last two years we have got two great new IPs. It is a shame you can't play the latest AAA on Nintendo, but it is a price worth paying if you like Nintendo games.
think I will skip this one ...NOT!
interested to see if they put a clan management system into the game. this would help to build the e-sports side of things
they have a few months to work hard at meting demand. then x-mas hits $$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Nintendo is set for life at this stage. which means I am set for life as a gamer. all is well
at worst, maybe sony funned Capcom to make a monster hunter game like they did with blood bourne......so then ... Nintendo should fund Capcom to make monster hunter switch
hold on people...... show me prof they are paying to have monster hunter worlds not on switch! its not on switch for the same reason destiny2 is not on switch..... switch cant run that...... that's not the devs fault
PLEASE READ: Totally agree! Sony and Microsoft (or whatever they are called) are very similar so Nintendo adds flavour to the gaming scene. Also, I can’t watch the new god of war trailer with my 4 year old son, cos i am a responsible parent (also my wife would kill me) (which is ironic if you think about it) but you should see how totally loving life he is when we got arms (forever not just a test) he loves gaming as much as I did before the world crushed my soul and it is so nice to see that again. I could not have given him that experience on any other device. Nintendo gave my son something I thought had been lost to the ages... a good clean video game! He tells me he is a gamer and will never change his mind. So thank you Nintendo!
@ShadJV I have really tried over the years to use and like motion controls but I just cant do it. arms is yet another game that I have turned motion controls off for and it will stay that way
Nintendo's ips are very different than the traditional e-sports games, but Nintendo could still set up their own e-sports system, and it would get a good group of supporters.
The Stirling squid was my highlight, what a trophy! I feel they did not show much new stuff but they covered that well with esports events and extended treehouse.
Surprised and disappointed. Visually it looked like a game the switch would struggle to render at over 5 fps. Still hoping to see switch version of xx make it outside Japan
we thought that if the switch sold well we would start to see devs support it. and that is what we are seeing here. its another step in a great direction

honestly this game really doesn't look like my sort of thing.
Re: Weirdness: Mobile App 'Final Clash' Confuses All With Zelda: Breath of the Wild Footage in Trailer
the actual game looked quite good. the zelda trailer was a good laugh. might not be worth their while though if nintendo come down on them too hard.
