I haven’t watched the vid yet cos I’m at work. I do understand people saying that Nintendo have been quite for a while and that should have given them time to have a stronger launch line up. People are forgetting how amazing Zelda is, but because it has so little supporting software around it again I can see your complaint. On the bright side the first year is going to have big name games released every few months, that’s great news and is going to make 2017 a great year for any Nintendo fan. I don’t think they are going to make too many new customers with the switch but if you like Nintendo games you’re going to love it  . No console or launch line up is ever perfect but they are all fun in their own right. Don’t get snotty any throwaway an opportunity to play some great games just cos Nintendo haven’t done everything the way you would have. Our job is not to tell them how to do their job. Our job is to enjoy the games that come our way for however long they keep coming.

that's great news for me, I like to download games but I had pre-ordered Zelda in a box out of concern. now I can cancel that order and start looking for a good size sd card.

Zelda is going to be epic and makes the switch day one purchase for me, I have a wii u but want the version that will be able to hold a frame rate. the switch will have good games throughout its life. im not buying the switch for the launch games, im buying it for all the cool games that will come over the next few years. while I wait I will be playing Zelda.

yep it will just mean wifi off. the 12th was the hardware reveal, they would have said if mobile net connection was an option.

yes I do think the system will be worth buying for Zelda alone. not sure how many other people feel that way though.

Zelda on launch. A couple of month’s later Mario cart. A couple of month’s later splatoon. A couple of months later Mario. I excited about switches first year. I just think it was a mistake to make us piece this list together ourselves, it made a lot of people including myself freak out. Nintendo should have given us an expected 2017 release schedule.

Ok so using you phone is going to seam odd, but it means devs don't have to build chat into their games, and it won't take up system resources. If the app works well you won't even have to be on your console to keep up with what friends are playing and what's going on in the Nintendo community.

While no one likes paying a subscription service This is a necessary step for Nintendo. If Sony and Microsoft cant manage to give their players free online then why should Nintendo be able to?

It would have helped a heap if they gave a list of launch games and a list of games and there excepted release windows for the year. They really have to go all in on this, and if this is all in then we have a major problem. I will love the switch to death but how many do they have to sell to stay a viable company? Half the people that were going to by a switch watched the presentation and were put off because Zelda was the only game they wanted. I have no doubt that a year from now it will have a good library of games and for a new console that's normal but To many people are going around right now saying "well Nintendos last chance just went out the window due to not enough games" we just have to hang in there and the games will come but I just hope enough people are willing to see this through.

I love Nintendo but was disappointed with the presentation. Don't get me wrong I love the joy cons and have preordered but they needed to show of lots of almost finished games and they just didn't. To be honest I'm a bit worried about it all. I want to see them do well.

I like the idea of VR. I think it could be a nice addition to an already great concept of the switch, some people would like it others would hate it but it would only be a small part of what Nintendo will be offering with the switch, if they offer it at all.

i don't think vr will be the future of nintendo but i would love to see there take on it. it would be really exciting for me if they showed it off a bit at the presentation.

In Australia eb games has been taking preorders for a while, they don't know how many they are getting but it puts you in line for whatever stock they get

I like trying out new controllers so will pick one up if it gets an Aus release. Very unethical turbo button though, hope it doesn't work for splatoon.

Personally I find more detail in graphics gives me more immersion which I like. But I understand that price is going to be important for the switch

My kids are growing up streaming everything except games. Rebuilding the internet to get people the type of connection required to really make games streaming work well would be a massive task

Just putting it out there: the first thing I ever did with splatoon was turn off motion controls. It’s now my favourite gave of all time.

Chill bro, the article clearly stated that Nintendo are still very much about making their type of games. They are just getting help from nivdia on the hardware side of things. if they really only wanted 3rd Parties they sure as hell would not have made a hand held and called it a home console

I imagine Nintendo’s quality assurance department will have a problem with the floating rocks. I would give it ago just to be supportive but from the trailer it’s hard to get excited. But hay it could surprise us all with an in-depth story and great game play. (Read: unrealistic optimism)

a low price would help it sell well. I just hope they don't mix the price up with the number of units they need to make for launch.

OK so what I want is to be able to run around in botw as an inkling and throw ink everywhere. That or just a solid list of new Nintendo quality games and lots of them. New shiny HD goodness.
