I have 8 badges but haven't become the champion yet, and I started the dlc last night and the pokemon were all level 15!!

I never played the first one, so what can I expect from this?

Is it just walk round an island and take pictures of pokemon? If so then the game will get stale once you've done a lap of the island

Was hoping for a black and white remake tbh, the mechanics in the let's go games arent very appealing

So when you purchase from the eshop you are presented with two options,

Option 1, to buy the expansion pass for pokemon sword

Option 2, to buy the expansion pass for pokemon shield

So how are people still buying the wrong version?

Blame nintendo all you like but this is down to lack of intelligence and observation

Just want them to include magearna, victini and diancie into these games, it's strange that they gave me a pokemon colour shiny magearna but I can't even use it in the game

@gameboy1975 I wasn't bashing Mario kart 8 in particular its a great game I have it on my switch lite, I just meant the top 10 in general as we're are going through a quiet few weeks. Though switch sales are going up meaning more people want to buy switch games.

What I said about Mario kart not being number 1 next week was meant in a jokey way as the last of us part 2 cones out Friday so obviously that would be top

Also, wow where is xenoblade chronicles definitive edition? That dropped hard and fast for Nintendo's main rpg franchise other than fire emblem

Starting to annoy me seeing gta 5 still there, along as its there they won't need to make gta 6

Infact wouldn't surprise me if they release a switch version just to milk it a little bit more

Helps that there's hardly any new games out from playstation, xbox or the big third parties

Though I suppose next weeks number one will be totally different

I honestly don't see the problem. My mate used to sell the best weapons and armor in war craft, if your spending your time grinding for something so yih can sell it then I don't see the problem

Looks quite interesting, will deffo be picking this up at some point, maybe on release day depending on the price

@TheFullAndy yeah but I think the same happened to god of war and horizon zero dawn, they aren't too keen on western made games

@TheFullAndy Japanese are more into their handheld games and more cartoon looking games tbh, the graphically intense "blockbuster" games cater to the west

Good game but wouldn't give it a game of the decade accolade

Would love this on the switch, best jrpg series to date and should be on all platforms to boost its already stellar sales

World of final fantasy and digimon tried and came really close, but this looks like crap, stick to being a free phone game

@Heavyarms55 that will never happen, have you seen the colossal sales figures vs those of xenoblade? Final fantasy 7 remake sold more than the whole of the xenoblade games together, plus final fantasy games are multi platform

Better graphics please and if you do sides quests then atleast make them interesting this time round, or just remake xenoblade chronicles X

I just want MAGEARNA confirmed, I spent hours upon hours getting my original colour shiny magearna in pokemon home yet I can't use him....

Iv ede uses to give up xenoblade chronicles definitive edition as the graphics and facial animations have put me off, when I played it on the wii I could stand the graphics as thats was was normal at the time and is still an amazing rpg but sadly not for me a second time round.
I will instead focus on completing trials of mana and Tokyo mirage sessions

Not much of a sale in terms of sale prices compared to Sony's sales but may have to grab Mario and rabbids for that price

Xenoblade chronicles definitive edition for sure, some more persona 5 Royal and some doom eternal

@antdickens @mesome713 I think that warning was harsh tbh he obviously isn't a troll, he is praising Nintendo related games/content on a Nintendo dedicated site, he is obviously a huge Nintendo fan boy and can see he's really into his games.

PS, I get what you mean about tree in certain games but that depends on the graphics to me, animal crossing and witcher 3 have different graphic styles so can't really be compared, for example a tree in zelda with zeldas art style would look great and pop but if that Same tree was in the last of us part 2 for example then I'm pretty sure it would look crap due the art style.

Anyway moving on from TREES...

@Anri02 yeah, for £30 a month I get 4 games at a time and priority to new games, apart from a couple of games I've had all new releases straight away over the last 4 years

I think the cult following was mainly becuase of its exclusives, I dunno how Sony do it but there exclusives are always out of this world and its now what people expect from Sony, I literally can't see any exclusives from Microsoft that could go toe to toe with games the last of us, God of war, spiderman, horizon zero dawn, beyond two souls, days gone, ghost of tushima, Dreams, persona 5 Royal.

I can't see any other reason why people would obsess over sony, but lately I've been playing the switch more and more as it's now getting more jrpg support and a steady amount of exclusives. I really only go back to the ps4 for exclusives or the occasional game of hunt showdown.

Infact I'd go as far as saying that the switch is the new console people are becoming obsessed with, helped by the animal crossing phenomenal

@mesome713 and I don't mind anime games getting censored as I don't play them for animated boobs lol BUT at the same time I disapprove of sony censoring things that the creators intended to be in the game

Don't Nintendo do the same? Don't they have different studios working on the different games, such as xenoblade is made by monolith and astral chain is made by platinum

Much rather them do hd remasters of some wii games instead, these wii u games are still fresh in my mind

@shani Zombi U is on the ps4 and plays ok single screen

@jaronimoe I think it was because at the time Nintendo never had a jrpg of this scale and size. If this released on the ps3 (current console at the time) then I'm pretty sure it wouldnt of got a lot of hype and probably scored lower

@JayJ mostly all reviews on HD remasters or ports or remakes are biased, the only way to get an honest review is to have someone who's never played the game before review it.

@DennisNOR your in for a looooong wait, Nintendo games don't go cheap second hand lol just check the price of super mario oddysey and that's two years old

@NEStalgia there is no blind worship of sony, the fact that it has a 4k blu Ray player is a huge reason its sold the amount it has.
If nintendo had a console with the same blu Ray player and third party support that the ps4 has then I'm pretty sure it would sell like crazy too.
Also don't forget when the ps4 was announced there was no Nintendo competitor and the wiiU was awful and xbox lost trust with its consumers, Sony was the place to go

@BlackKnight93 who sees Nintendo with prejudice? Ive been a playstation fan all my life but I still love Nintendo and love the games they bring out, infact the amazing variety that both Nintendo and Sony bring out every year keeps me busy and my wallet empty.

And this game is one im super looking forward to playing and will enjoy this and the last of us part 2 equally

Sony could survive just on third party games alone but Nintendo need to keep bringing out first party games as that's why people buy Nintendo's consoles as the third party support is poor.

Counting all of sonys other exclusives like persona 5 royal, final fantasy 7 remake and dreams (full version) then that's quite a few exclusives already this year

Can't wait to play this on Friday, my third favourite rpg of all time, only persona 5 Royal and witcher 3 can beat this

Just in time for the new silent Hills on ps5 maybe

@mesome713 The app is OK but offers very little, it's compatible with like 3 games? It needs to be compatible with way more games and offer more features for those games, a friends list and messenger and maybe even add the eshop on there so you can buy games whilst on mobile, the voice chat is awful aswell, Nintendo are way behind Sony and Microsoft in terms of voice chat and friend management

@Yas on a handheld which we knew didn't have great graphics so we didn't moan and knew what to expect, but for a console game of 2020 to only be 720p is quite poor, the handheld resolution is understandable though

Wow surely we live in a generation where consoles games on tv should all be 1080p by now? This is poor

BUT I will be playing this handheld anyway on my switch lite so hopefully it still looks good, still a vast improvement from the wii visuals I suppose

This is by no means the best rpg of all time but definitely the best rpg on the wii, if not the beat rpg on a Nintendo console other than the witcher 3 maybe

I will definitely pick this up at some point but not at the asking price, this is worth £20 maximum for me

Still annoyed they killed support after a year! Yet other online games get support for many years, I mean look at warframe, rocket league, overwatch etc

This was Nintendo's exclusive online hit and yet they couldn't support it
