I play around an hour a day and tbh it is starting to become a boring and tedious grind, I wish they added some kind of online minigames or a farming mechanic to keep me invested, rune factory 4 though is the game for me at the moment

@MrBlacky But isn't there a shortage of switch lites? If you loveded handhelds but also had the option for your handheld to play on tv aswell if you ever feel like it, what would you choose?

Doesn't surprise me considering Japan are an handheld nation, in the west you hardly see anyone out with a 3ds, vita or switch in the streets or on buses or trains or in school, infact when I was at school you'd get bullied for playing pokemon yet in Japan it's normal

I really enjoyed threes houses gameplay wise but preferred the character designs from awakening and fates

Giving animal crossing a break as its now starting to get tedious and repetitive, I've got trials of mana to start, need to finish up snackworld and get back into splatoon 2 ready for the splatfest. Then back onto persona 5 royale and suppose il give fallout 76 a try

@mesome713 yeah it's usually shooters and fast paced games that do that, I like the music from games like dragon quest and original final fantasies, games that use orchestra music

People are forgetting animal crossing is aimed and kids, families and casual gamers so their target audience is waaay bigger than a JRPG, so yes of course its going to sell like crazy plus the virus forced people to stay in doors meaning more people wanted games to play which also boosted its sales not to mention its a relaxing game which is what people want during these times, and to top it off people have been waiting 7 years for a new animal crossing (me included) so the initial sales were always going to be sky high and it helps that this game deserves it all

If the graphics don't put you off then I'd suggest getting rune factory 4 instead

I see no problem with this, they will obviously add some extras or some currency for the in game store.

Also collectors like physical games so this is primarily for them, where the majority of people will just downlaod it

17 million in 6 months is phenomenal! what is wrong with people? How can anyone say this game has under performed or flopped? It's already the 4th best selling pokemon game in such as short time and nearly sold more than diamond and pearl which have been out over 10 years

Tbh Nintendo need to be careful there next console don't flop like the wiiu, they have found the perfect console in the nintendo switch being both handheld and console is attracting two different user bases. They need to keep this hybrid theme going forward into future consoles

@johnvboy I suppose it depends on the gamer, people who like calmer, relaxing and casual games would prefer Nintendo whilst others who like action, drama, and a good story with amazing graphics would prefer Sony or Microsoft.

I prefer a both that's why I have both a ps4 and a switch and tbh it's quite refreshing switching between different sets of games/styles

@Monkeido I agree that the previous zelda games were action adventure games but breath of the wild played more like an Rpg, only thing missing was a level up system

I hope they have more games planned as after May its looking rather grim in terms of games

If its Sega then it's not exciting...
Unless it's a valkyria chronicles game

@mesome713 and I play animal crossing for an hour every day and yeah it's a nice chill game that's different from everything else I play but it's not game of the year to me, for one reason alone is that after I have my house looking the way I want it and ive got my island looking the way I want then what is there left for me to do?

Atleast on the 3ds animal crossing I had online minigames I could jump in a play when I wanted to

@mesome713 I agree that breath of the wild is an Amazing game and xenoblade 2 was also amazing and I'm playing through the dlc now, but Nintendo aren't the only ones who make great Rpg's, persona and final fantasy are also amazing games, just because they aren't on Nintendo doesn't mean they aren't great

@Monkeido I thought it was an Rpg it certainly played like one, open world map, side quests, loot, changeable weapons and armor
