@Xylnox I can understand what you mean, but then again if companies want to make an handheld with attachable Controllers then theres not much design choice, it has to be a small tablet screen with two attachable Controllers on either side. I won't be buying the UFO as I'm happy with my switch and ps4 but I'm glad theres now different ways to play pc games instead of just keyboard and mouse.
Nintendo must of known this would happen, they have have started a new trend in gaming and I think the UFO won't be the last
@Xylnox wasn't the original xbox a rip off of the ps2? Psp a rip off of the gameboy? Kinsect a rip off of the PlayStation eye toy and wii together? Is evry tv company ripping off the first manufacturer of a TV?
this could go on for ever but its just innovation and companies see that innovation and use it to inspire there own work? The UFO is a proper piece of kit that will have over a 1000 games at launch and hundreds of AAA games as well, a Real rip off is those Chinese devices that just play retro games
@Enigminator misogynist means despises women doesn't it? From what I can see this game is solely about two women, no men at all, I don't see why this game would be misogynist
No point reading a review for this as we already know what the main topic of the review will be...
NL need a die hard anime gamer to review these kind of games but until then I'd rather watch 30 minutes of youtube Walkthroughs to make up mind to buy these kinds of games or not
Lmao apart from the art style (genshin has better graphics) these two games are completely different. BOTW has a better story and feels more like an AAA game but I like the look of genshin plus it's more hack and slash with skills and anime styled.
Xenoblade chronicles 2 had an expansion pass that was the prologue to the main game which was pretty essential to fully understanding the story, but no one said that was crappy
@StephenYap3 To me it's the best Atelier I've played so far, so much to do and much quicker battles so feels less grindy, the new graphics are great too, this time round there are several gathering tools which depending on which tool you use on certain gathering spots changes what item you get, with added farming elements and fishing and base building, plus there's a mini area creating tool which you pick an item you have and a map will be created which all contain different enemies and items to gather depending on what item you chose, so yeah lots to do in this one
@StephenYap3 unfortunately atelier lulua was never going to make this list due to the kind of game it is and its niche, but I agree it is easily the best Atelier game I've ever played and top 3 rpg I've played this year
Edit: sorry scrap that I wasn't thinking properly I was thinking about atelier ryza lol
@Ludovsky totally agree I've spent over 25 hours and only have 3 gym badges lol I'm trying to raise literally every pokemon I find and use serebii to make sure I get every pokemon from every route and zone
@Ludovsky plus I suspect they will patch in special events for the raid battles such as previous gen legendaries, hence why their data is still in the game
@Ludovsky exactly this is what people don't understand, if they did this for over 1100 pokemon then this game would of took another 2 years atleast whereas they tend to bring out a new game every two years
Wow this article is just bait for people to moan about the game and whinge that pokemon have been cut, over 1100 pokemon that is just a crazy amount to catch, what do you want? 30+ in each route, 500 pokemon in the wild area? Lol
If your that upset then just don't buy the game it's your loss, as this to me is one of the best pokemon games I've played so far and a great first entry on the Nintendo switch
@TYRANACLES gyms in pokemon games have always been easy because they are one type gyms so you can easily plan type match ups before battling them, do you expect a fire gym to easily beat a team of water types? No, of course you're going to breeze through gyms
I've breezed through every single gym in every single game, it's just basic knowledge of type match ups
Most fun I've had playing a pokemon game in ages and I've played them all, let's be honest if all the pokemon were in the game then no one would be complaining and the fact the models are similar to the 3ds ones wouldn't of even been an issue but just because they decided over 1000 pokemon would be too much (which it is) people are picking at things just to bash this game
Some of those winners lol especially smash as it was released last year and basically got more sales so obviously more votes, tbh fire emblem or luigis mansion 3 should of been this years winners in that category
I really don't get why there's so many haters, the game is fun much better than Sun and moon, the wild area alone gives you hours upon hours to work through.
The fact that it's divided into many zones, each zone has different weather every day (real life) and which pokemon are in each zone vary depending on the weather, and there's 7-8 different weather types all bringing different pokemon.
Then there's the Raid battles which there are 1-2 in each zone which reset every day. Depending on how many gym badges you have changes the star rating of the raid battles increasing the difficulty and fighting against better pokemon, at the start you will be doing 1 star raids which are mostly first evolution pokemon ranging from level 15-19.
Also each raid battle rewards you with a one use TM called a TR, of usually a strong move. For example I just did a ghastly raid and got a Shadow Ball TR, so this gives people reason to farm raids every day.
Also depending on how many badges you have, there's some pokemon you can't catch in the wild area at first, at first you can't catch pokemon over level 20 until you have the first badge, then over 30 after the second badge etc
So there's really already a tonne to do just in the wild area that makes the games worth it alone
Got my copy today from shopto and have to say I'm impressed so far, yeah so what if it hasn't got all the pokemon, it still has hundreds more than I can possibly do with, and the graphics are nice, this is what I expect for the first main pokemon game on the switch as it will only get better from here
@RupeeClock I can see why you're annoyed with the removal of certain moves but surely they have also added new ones? I'm not asking you to tell me exact new move names or what they do but just a clarification that they also have new moves in these games
Am I the only one looking forward to this still, I dont really care about them cutting pokemon as it will make it easier to complete the national dex and easier for me to pick a team and concentrate on those 6, this is the first new pokemon game on teh switch so obviously they are playing around with graphics and mechanics and testing what the switch can handle, so expect future pokemon games to be better in terms of graphically, content and mechanics, but for now the 15th can't come quick enough
Co soles these days have updates and patches, who says they won't bring out updates for sword and shield that add new pokemon to the game or special events etc
@tendonerd I can understand what you mean but it could work against them aswell as some people would be put off the price and may decide to buy it second hand off ebay or game etc it's mainly why GTA, FIFA and call of duty sare always in the charts because of those sales, and mainly why I rent all my Nintendo switch games apart from 1
@tendonerd most of these games amaze me that they are still £45-£50 in the UK, especially after two years on the shelves, they would sell more surely if they lowered the cost after half a year like other platforms do
Got this for the ps4. Hands down the best Atelier I've played so far, graphics are beautifully, love the upgraded synthesis and the battles are more interesting and more strategy
The switch needs more/better 3rd party support, the witcher 3, the outer worlds, vampyr, and elder scrolls etc are going to help people decide to get this game but it needs more... Borderlands 3, kingdom hearts, latest assassins creed, call of duty, a proper fifa, grand theft auto, red dead redemption, these are the big hitter 3rd party games which would help the switch push those sales through the roof, but at the moment it's relying too much on first party games which isn't a big problem as they are all great and pokemon will help a LOT but I do think it's missing that support for 3rd party devs
@LUIGITORNADO what about days gone? Infamous? Knack? Horizon zero dawn? The last of us? And a whole tonne of 3rd party games, 102 million sales can't mean it's overrated
@Thundertron55 as good as the switch is I can't see it overtaking the ps4 sales, don't forget the ps4 is also an entertainment system so has multiple reasons to be in peoples homes whikst the switch is purely a gaming device. It's nearly been 3 years since the switch and its sales are around 30-40 million

Lol every anime rpg and games like dragon quest 11 and ni no kuni that uses similar graphics, is that like zelda aswell?
Could of sworn the zelda creator said they used different ideas from other modern Rpg's when making BOTW.

Re: Guide: Pokémon Sword And Shield Expansion Passes - All You Need To Know, Including New Pokémon
Galarian forms of articuno, moltres and zapdos look amazing, also I'm really hoping they put dragonite in the game

DLC is always an "option" that gives the player additional content if they want it, if not then move along.

Lol some people make me laugh, they clearly said there will be a free update that allows you to get the new added pokemon
Re: Alienware Reveals Switch-Like Device Capable Of Playing PC Games
It's a good idea especially with the vast library of pc games but il stick with the ps4 and switch as I alrwady have too many games to deal with

@Friendly no but it will have 3rd party games the switch won't have such as call of duty, a proper fifa and red dead redemption 2 etc.

For me it's
1. Luigis mansion 3
2. Fire emblem three houses
3. Pokemon sword and shield
4. Zelda Links awakening
5. Astral chain
I'm sure dragon quest 11 S would of fitted in there somewhere but it's yet to leave its box for me

Re: Nintendo Wants To Sell Switch "For As Long As Possible", Has "No Plans" To Cut Pricing
The switch will keep on selling aslong as it has a regular stream of good first party games, but as soon as they slow down then its time to worry
