@Ghostchip I find the main issue is that it IS a good game, it just has a terrible shooting system.

At this point they arent going to change it but its not easy to control

A remaster would be impossible, but amazing.

One of my all time favorite games, I play it every 2 years or so.

@Mr-Fuggles777 hotspot works fine on every online game (overwatch player here) this will work out great.

60 fps HD is nice, but honestly I grew up through 5 generations of game consoles and 30fps SD is fine.

Its more difficult (because lets be fair this is a shooter) and I wouldnt want to try competitive using the switch, but for just playing and enjoying apex its more than enough.

Heck, look at the install base for Fortnite, the graphics and draw distance are a huge disadvantage, but portable is king

@tankymctankus I know exactly what you mean, i think its the flash-era video game feeling in terms of art style.

Lots of visual novels of that era or scenes from games looked like this, always weirded me out.

Had i not see a walkthrough of GriffLands i would have no idea what this is about.

However, storytelling and deckbuilder games (inspired by the foundation of Slay the Spire) seem to go hand in hand and will probably be the next Metroidvania craze.

If this works, cool. Otherwise i can see building getting very very very boring.

Without multiplayer this game has barely any purpose. Obviously buying DOOM (any of them) would be better than this.

@KateGray Word of warning on the joycon shells, THOSE are tough and i would recommend being very careful with that replacement.

The back plate for the switch itself though is very straightforward. Keep track of everything in the process of joycons, or have a local shell swapper do it.

@kategray Amazon has a ton of great options, and honestly the only thing you could break is using the wrong screwdriver (use a 3 pointed one that comes with the swap kit... I made that mistake)

Other than that, follow any quick youtube video tutortials and you should be done in about 20 minutes.

As someone who has owned his won very beat up switch, I highly recommend buying a back casing replacement! With the screwdrivers that come with it I've swapped out the back on my switch 2 times now (once to fix damage once to change the color) and it's given my old switch new life.

Not to mention a lot of the back plates have a lot of personality!

@PhhhCough The main issue would of been content and speed. With limited memory some of the varied designs and monster AI might of taken a hit, but overall it IS doable, but would look and feel very different.

@Trajan Nope, hot swapping can destroy the data, and often does. It also wont boot up the next game.

The studio has an IP too entrenched to allow for change. Whereas games like Stardew Valley (and maybe Rune Factory 5?) dont have to hang on to any previous items.

@Joker13z The art is amazing but the character models are rough, even compared to previous entries. So they mix into a middle of the road art style.
