Between couch co-op and online multiplayer, we're not lacking for choice when it comes to Switch multiplayer games – though we'd never say no to more. Looking to offer us both, developer Pixel Maniacs has just confirmed that Can't Drive This is coming to Switch on March 19th.
Described as a "co-op racing platformer", the basic premise involves one player driving a truck while the other furiously builds the track. Locally, it supports up to 4 players, and you've also got 2-player online multiplayer.
Detailing this further, Pixel Maniacs offers this outline on the Switch eShop:
One player drives, the other one builds the road. At the same time. Race your monster truck WHILE your friend builds the road. Go too slow, and you'll EXPLODE! And yes, it's as chaotic as it sounds – especially in four player split-screen.
Can't Drive This is a competitive co-op (it's a thing) multiplayer party racing game. Drive your monster truck WHILE your friend builds the road in front of you! Oh, and don't go too slow, OR YOU'LL EXPLODE! Like in that Sandy B movie, in which she kinda does the same thing, but on a bus. Also, she doesn't explode (Spoiler alert).
Can't Drive This currently has a "Mostly Positive" rating on Steam. It will come with a launch discount in the UK and Europe, knocking off 10% until March 28th for £16.19 / €17.99. That isn't available for players in the United States, sadly; instead, it's launching there at $19.99.

As 99.9% of male Americans, my manhood needs me to own huge things to compensate.
I have big guns and a big car. And also I wear a big belt buckle. And a big cowboy hat.
This game featuring giant monster trucks will only make things even better for little Willy.
Sounds interesting- guess it'll all fall down to execution.
If this works, cool. Otherwise i can see building getting very very very boring.
This looks like more stress than my friendships could weather 😆
Looks kind of like a customizable Trackmania. Looks interesting.
So are people working together or against each other?
As in, am I trying to build a track to make sure my friend doesn't fail, or am I trying to have him fail?
@GC-161 you son’t actually spend much time in the county/country/south do you? It isn’t just the menfolk driving oversized vehicles.
And honestly, don’t forget mom’s with 2 kids driving oversized SUVs/Vans. Neither the truck nor the over-breeder brigade buggies are known for being able to stay in their lanes our pull off the difficult “single spot” parking maneuver.

@Quijibo Sorry if my previous post shattered your fragile manhood or your fragile sense of self. Its obvious that you felt personally attacked. Despite the fact that I was talking about myself.
Yes, despite talking about myself, you felt offended. And decided to write an embarrassing post where you try to make me feel bad for offending you. And it's an embarrassing post because again, I was talking about myself. So there was no reason for you to get the vapors.
But you still felt like grabbing your pearls.
To which I have to say... grow a thicker skin, son.
