As a platformer, the gameplay and level design are some of the best around 9/10. But I was really hoping for more QOL improvements. Seeing as this game has a lot of collectible items, something like a “Retry Level” or “Restart from Checkpoint” option could have gone a long way. Having to exit back out to the map, wait for a loading screen, re-enter the stage, then wait again for a loading screen can get a little frustrating for players who like to find everything. I guess losing a life intentionally is the closest thing, but at the cost of losing Diddy. Great game otherwise.

My last 3DS online moments were spent hunting a a Rathalos on MH4. I almost forgot how great that game looked on 3DS.

I can walk into a library and find books written over 100 years ago. I can download an ebook app and have access to old books and movies 40+ years old. No one is asking for old games to be a focus. People are just asking for a means of accessibility.

Don’t get me wrong I think New Horizons is great. But here’s why I choose New Leaf;
-More upgradable shops
-Kapp’n Multiplayer Island
-Fortune Cookies for Rare Nintendo Items
-Club ‘lol’
-No waiting for town visits for shops
-Items didn’t break
-Brewster out the box
-Complete Game from launch

Yes New Horizons has the QOL improvements, but New Leaf has the content and personality imo.

I know this won't happen but I'd love to see a Xenoblade Chronicles X port.

Port WWHD, TPHD, Xenoblade Chronicles X & Super Mario Galaxy 2 and I'll be good on switch ports.

I want so bad to be wrong about this game. It seems really rushed, and the open world aspect doesn’t seem to be handled well. I worry the game will feel empty, objects randomly placed, story forced etc. But we’ll see.

I was a little late honestly. I actually didn’t know about Samus until Smash 64. Same for Ness. Though I had a SNES early on, my library was limited & I actually played Sega Genesis mainly until N64.

I really hope this is an implication of a revised service for future hardware. It’ll be a shame if this turns out to be just a “we’re moving on” from Nintendo.

The rewind feature on NSO made the difficult parts less of a headache. It allowed me do things like; Try different decisions, scan enemies without costing a turn, and get free hints. I didn’t over use it, but it came in handy if you didn’t want to start all the way over after wiping out.

It will definitely be Mobile.

I agree 100%. There’s no reason they can’t provide a consistent release schedule, especially when people are paying. We’re talking about retro systems with libraries of 1000+ games

Mario & Luigi Super Star Saga 3DS. Game’s amazing

I hear this, but my issue (specifically with Nintendo) is they have already shown on Numerous occasions what they’re capable of doing. You could feel the ambition put into their games, you could see the bold attempts for innovation. It seems like when they got to the switch, the perfect system to handle everything they’ve wanted to do years prior, they backed off. Yes they have some cool features, but you can see they’ve clearly chosen the “safe” route this time around.

Fire Emblem was my favorite game for 3D. But 3D land was a blast

As much as I appreciate 3D Pokemon games. I've come to realize there's still beauty in the 2D style, and 3D doesn't always mean "Upgrade." I'd love to play another 2D Pokemon game.

It’s been 4 years. Don’t count on it

Though I respect the X series, Battle Network and Legends will always be my favorite. I felt more involved with the story in those entries.
