I paid full price for the starter set, but buy what expansions I can find discounted. So far I grabbed Marios house, the pirhana slide, and whomp drop for 24 each, as well as the pokey desert one and thwomp one for 16.
I think both sides could have handled it better. Instead of cancelling the entire tournament, they could have just done an Ultimate tournament for the year. Than again, Nintendo could have offered a patched version of Melee for the organizers to use (which wouldn't be out of the question, considering Nintendo has done this in the past for the NES and SNES Classic editions and even this past week with the SMB Game and Watch). At the end of the day though, Nintendo owns the IP.
I'm kinda hoping for multiple endings. One ending that has the canon we know that sets up Breath of the Wild, and others that has Zelda or the four Heroes succeeding in stopping Ganon. Maybe even one where Link ends up with Mipha (they seemed like a good couple in the flashbacks in BOTW)
Still buying it for sure, just to play Galaxy again and Sunshine for the first time, but man, really wish they would have thrown SOMETHING in the case since this is a limited release. A manual, some stickers, something.
This is just the game that keeps giving. Incredible value, I've bought it on 3 different platforms (Switch, XOne, and PC) just to try to keep supporting the dev, even though I only play on Switch since thats where I originally bought it and where my main game save is.
I'm still buying it, but its a real shame that the PC Port that was made from the leaked source code is actually a better copy, supporting higher res, 16:9, and even supported for updated textures.
Glad to see they have a control method that should work, replicating the old Wii setup would be rough (but I'd love to see a way to connect a Wii controller and Nunchuck to a Switch to play it the old way, lol.
Back when I bought New Super Mario Bros U I was hoping this game would eventually come. Glad it's here now. Honestly it's the last Wii U exclusive I wanted for Switch that Nintendo hadn't done yet, or at least a sequel for Switch (Mario Maker and Splatoon)
I'm prolly gonna order a physical copy of RPG Maker MV. Might be interesting to build an RPG and sample what some other people make. Something like Mario Maker but for 16 bit turn based style RPGs.
Waiting on a pre order link here in the US. Digital preorders are open but I would prefer a physical copy. Shame that there's no Galaxy 2 on there as well, but honestly the 3 games we are getting are all top tier.
I have a starter kit and mess with it and the other labo kits from time to time. Once Nintendo starts shipping physical orders again I plan on getting the two expansions for the VR kit.
Didn't see it listed in the article, but a Samsung 512 gig micro USB as is only 65 bucks in the US, a crazy good deal. Grabbed one for my Lite, which has 256 right now. Should hold me over til 1 tb becomes affordable. My main switch will go from 200 to 256. The Lite gets the bigger stick since I play more on it due to work.
@MidnightLaces having owned them on Steam, I can definitely tell you they are overpriced. First of all, the original game runs 5 bucks each on Steam, and the others are frequently on sale for half off or better. Secondly, the games are a one trick pony as far as gameplay goes.
I snagged a turquoise one. Looks nice. My second choice was a grey if they were out of turquoise but so far the Lite has been stocked well on store shelves.
I'll wait til I see it on discount. My Switch backlog is getting huge, plus fees major titles I haven't even gotten around to buying like Hyrule Warriors and Xenoblade 2
There's a decent Capcom sale going on in the US, I snagged the Beat Em Up Collection. I already had physical versions for a lot of the games on sale, but for anyone who hasn't got em yet, Mega Man Legacy, X Legacy, Street Fighter 30th Anniversary, and Mega Man 11 are all on sale as well as a few others. The Phoenix Wright Trilogy set is kinda tempting.
Vice Project Doom is actually an under rated, solid game. Honestly tho, there's still a ton of stuff that could be done. Even light gun games that either use a cursor as a zapper or gyro controls are an option.
Skipped these, I usually go physical when I can and here lately even most first party releases are at Wal-Mart at $50. Snagged Mario Bros. U, Smash Bros, and Mario Maker 2 all for 50 each.
Sweet, this is my first Splatfest where my team one......fitting its the last one. I only managed to get around 10 games in, but shockingly won 9 with my team, usually I am doing good to get 50/50
The main things I even want for my Lite are a screen protector and a carrying case that can also handle carrying a charger. Other than that, not much I would really want.
While I like Marina more than Pearl, I've always been a fan of the more "chaotic" aspects of things, like Joker in Dark Knight, or even just mixing random foods and seeing what happens. Went Chaos for this one.
Remember what happened last time Nintendo lost a class action lawsuits, during the NES era. People in the case were mailed a 5 dollar coupon for any NES game. They lost and got more sales for it.
Pretty cool to have new color options. I'm still going with a solid gray set (I have the red/blue Switch) but part of me wishes they would do a solid black set, or a blue set that isn't neon.
I don't get the hate. These two games are good games for the NES library, if not the ones most talked about. I'm still hoping for some RPGs soon though, we have seen a LOT of quick play stuff (Excitebike, Donkey Kong, etc) but no Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy yet, the closest we have gotten is StarTropics.
This is a little surprising to me, as this would be a feature that could be touted for a "Pro" model. Maybe the pro won't happen, and instead we will get small incremental upgrades like this over the life of the system? Imagine another silent update that upgrades internal storage to 64 gigs. I could see that.
Capcom really needs to stop with not putting the game on the cart. It's impossible to buy these used unless you want a quarter of the game. They've been doing this a while (Mega Man Legacy, Mega Man X Legacy stand out). It sets a bad precedent for anyone who wants to enjoy their Switch a console generation or two later, the only option for many of these games will be piracy.

Re: More Than 20 Million Courses Have Now Been Uploaded In Super Mario Maker 2
I love this game. I kinda miss the multiple characters you could play as that was in the Wii U version using Amiibo, but still a lot of fun.

Re: Super Mario Bros. 35 Brings More Battle Royale Madness To Nintendo Switch Online
Great idea, but being time limited is awful. I'd pay a bit extra to keep it around, hopefully they offer it for 10 bucks or so after March.

Re: Prepare For Scares When The Five Nights At Freddy's Trilogy Creeps Onto The eShop Later This Month
Way overpriced. If it was 7.99 for all three I'd vote, but not per game.

I kinda like it, bit not a fan of the etched Pokemon on the back. Went with the turquoise one.

That's a start. The audio needs fixed as well though, the slowdown on the playback is hard on the ears for Doom vets.
Re: Feature: Super Nintendo Games We’d Like To See On Nintendo Switch Online
I still have a massive wishlist for NES Online, and hope that when we get SNES that they will continue with NES releases as well.
That being said, other than the obvious choices for SNES, I'd like to see some stuff like Illusion of Gaia and Soul Blazer.
