Re: Analysts Wonder If Super Mario Can Save Nintendo

Well Pachter is right even if he is stating the blindly obvious. As for Mario being a generator of mobile revenue... Well he likely could be, but I doubt we'll see a Mario game that requires the precision that requires tactile controls on a touch only device, as that is one of things Nintendo prides itself on.

@NbaJunkie Defending? No I'm simply stating an opinion. There's no need to shove gamepad controls into a game that doesn't need them like TF. Pikmin 3 used it more than just a map. It would have been much more difficult to complete challenge mode without the multitasking opportunities it provides. Frankly while Watch Dogs may be using it more than some of Nintendos titles I don't believe it should have taken them all of that time it was delayed for to implement them.

@NbaJunkie Consider how many of Nintendos flagship franchises are on the Wii U. Apart from a couple of Mario games not much. Wind Waker made good use of it, but since it was a remaster they couldn't use it too much. Pikmin 3 used it well, though I wouldn't call it a flagship franchise. Xenoblade X seems to use it quite extensively and Zelda U will as well.
