Re: Random: Finally, You Can Play Dark Souls On Switch The Way Nature Intended

@Stu13 It annoyed the crap out of me when the Dark Souls stress test demo came out and was half the reason I didn't buy it (the other half was the difficulty, ha). My colleagues didn't understand my problem with it because they didn't know it's pretty standard that A is OK and B is cancel for Nintendo and didn't believe me when I told them it was so, even though they have Switches themselves.

Re: All DOOM Games Heavily Reduced On Switch, Some Now As Low As £1.20

@codyf I'm not a game dev but I am a dev and he is pretty fair in his comments. It does my head in when I see lazily done code because guess what, lazy code leads to problems with bugs, performance, crunch time and missed features because of lack of time...and I have to boyscout it all because I'm not a lazy dev. So damn you lazy developers! That being said I don't see the point in motion controls for Doom 1/2.

Re: Watch Out, Ubisoft - Witcher Studio CD Projekt Is After Your Crown

@Syndrome I was about to comment on how ridiculous the valuation of the company is based on effectively 1 game, but owning GoG makes it a bit more realistic (valuations are always massively overinflated IMO)...and also explains why the top 2 quick links grouped with the main site result when Googling GoG are Witcher and Cyberpunk.

Re: Stardew Valley Has Sold Over 10 Million Copies In Just Four Years

@frabbit I'd say it's a lot more than that. He recovered his costs a long time ago (does he even have anyone help with the game he needs to pay?) and he could be living off the interest if he hasn't squandered it all so new development costs won't be eating in to it that much. Even if it were a £1.99 mobile game, with the typical 70:30 split with the platform provider he'd be making more than £1. It's selling for £8 or more, depending on platform, and he's now self publishing so he's raking it in.

Re: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Hosts amiibo Tag Tournament Later This Week

@KingBowser they're always running and are sometimes themed related to another game being released and the like. It's just a fun alternative to normal play with a specific ruleset/set character list to choose from. You get spirits out of it but they're not necessarily new, so you might get something you already have - I have them all so I don't care too much for the spirit side of it. Tournaments don't affect your character's GSP so it's a good way to try out characters against real people online.

Re: Chucklefish Issues Apology For Voice Actor Casting Choices In Wargroove's DLC

@Onion And what a good job the Ash voice actor does. While I haven't watched Pokemon since the first series or 2, I only found out about a week ago that he was voiced by a woman. Do I think there should be an apology to all the male voice actors for that? No, in fact it makes me appreciate it more that I couldn't tell the difference.
