@Stu13 It annoyed the crap out of me when the Dark Souls stress test demo came out and was half the reason I didn't buy it (the other half was the difficulty, ha). My colleagues didn't understand my problem with it because they didn't know it's pretty standard that A is OK and B is cancel for Nintendo and didn't believe me when I told them it was so, even though they have Switches themselves.
This was the 1 thing that genuinely made me gasp out loud in excitement. Hoping for full online and a remaster would be awesome. Someone has done a bit of a remake in UE4 and it looks brilliant https://youtu.be/TfgC89vX0hA
@SwitchForce have you ever heard of the phrase "won the battle but lost the war"? We are referring to the request to dismiss the joycon case being denied in the opposite sense of that phrase. They lost that battle (the request for dismissal) but the war isn't over yet (the court case as a whole).
@Yorumi they may not be making a big statement but then sites like this and comments are. The alphabet gang want to be accepted yet things like this are always made in to a big deal which is what grinds a lot of people's gears more than the actual subject.
@codyf I'm not a game dev but I am a dev and he is pretty fair in his comments. It does my head in when I see lazily done code because guess what, lazy code leads to problems with bugs, performance, crunch time and missed features because of lack of time...and I have to boyscout it all because I'm not a lazy dev. So damn you lazy developers! That being said I don't see the point in motion controls for Doom 1/2.
Someone remind me to get 1 and 2 when I get home. Finished 3 already (could do with motion controls but it was certainly playable after 5 minutes adjustment) but I have gold coins to spend and this is perfect.
@Syndrome I was about to comment on how ridiculous the valuation of the company is based on effectively 1 game, but owning GoG makes it a bit more realistic (valuations are always massively overinflated IMO)...and also explains why the top 2 quick links grouped with the main site result when Googling GoG are Witcher and Cyberpunk.
Not worried about Amazon. Their apps are horrendous and having to wait a good 60 seconds before a film starts when streamed to Chromecast doesn't fill me with confidence about the performance of their cloud services.
@frabbit I'd say it's a lot more than that. He recovered his costs a long time ago (does he even have anyone help with the game he needs to pay?) and he could be living off the interest if he hasn't squandered it all so new development costs won't be eating in to it that much. Even if it were a £1.99 mobile game, with the typical 70:30 split with the platform provider he'd be making more than £1. It's selling for £8 or more, depending on platform, and he's now self publishing so he's raking it in.
@Hagemaru I found it difficult at first in 3, perhaps because I had been used to Overwatch which does have gyro aiming, but then quickly got used to it and after an hour or so I stopped missing it.
@nessisonett wholeheartedly agree. The course map was a step backwards but it's only a small detail considering the actual game is when you're in a world. I love the SMG games and I'm glad they had enough ideas to do a second, I bet there's plenty of room for a third.
@KingBowser they're always running and are sometimes themed related to another game being released and the like. It's just a fun alternative to normal play with a specific ruleset/set character list to choose from. You get spirits out of it but they're not necessarily new, so you might get something you already have - I have them all so I don't care too much for the spirit side of it. Tournaments don't affect your character's GSP so it's a good way to try out characters against real people online.
@TheAwesomeBowser Nooooooo, both Galaxy games were better than Odyssey. The many creative ideas in Galaxy's numerous worlds vastly outshine the repetitiveness of Odysseys few worlds.
If it were just an advert for the UK and a new idea then maybe it could have a political twist. Today over social media I have seen plenty of 'f it, I'm going to X' posts/memes, where X is something like Narnia, in response to the result.
@rex_rex I had to double check the developers to make sure it wasn't a sequel to Hollow Knight and couldn't believe when I found out it was somebody different and unrelated. It's one thing making a game that looks OR plays similarly but both the gameplay and the art style are near enough identical.
@Onion And what a good job the Ash voice actor does. While I haven't watched Pokemon since the first series or 2, I only found out about a week ago that he was voiced by a woman. Do I think there should be an apology to all the male voice actors for that? No, in fact it makes me appreciate it more that I couldn't tell the difference.
I still don't get why people buy this kind of crap. I don't notice what anybody's car looks like and don't give a rat's arse about their goal animation, just play the game for the game.
I remember wanting this game back in 2002 after reading about it in PC Gamer, but for some reason I never got it. I don't get how they can seriously think about charging that much for a 17 year old game.
I'm hoping for another Tetris crossover. Alexey Pajitnov using tetrinos as weapons like Pacman and his pills/fruit would be awesome. Then his final smash would be putting everybody on a Tetris board and have to dodge falling tetrinos.
Can't believe it's been 20 years, find memories of the N64 days and Smash was certainly among them. I only found out it came out on Wii VC when they were shutting it down and it was too late to buy points
Not only does he look a ton better, but the trailer itself is better. I'm not sure I would have wanted to see it if it was the new sonic in the original trailer but now I kinda do want to see it.
Feck off. Content "creators" (a funny name for people who create absolutely nothing of worth) should be dealt with more stringently. If you consider yourself to be an "influencer" then you should be more responsible and set an example and by that example you should consider and take the consequences.
Good grief this chump has such a punchable face. Pretty much everything I despise about today's youth wrapped up in 1 video, obsesses over a crap game, is an "influencer" on YouTube, makes a tidy sum while contributing 0 to society and then cries about getting caught cheating and losing that revenue...and he has a mop on his head.
Suing him for maximum damages because he put people out of their misery...can the sad people who thought their whole world had ended because they couldn't play this crap game sue Epic for maximum mental health damages?
@EasyDaRon I would and do because of the gameplay which has barely changed. If people come back just because of some extra wheels or paint job then that's pretty sad.
@sanya_exe I really couldn't give a rat's arse about the DLC, loot boxes or customisability, I just picked a car and started playing the game for the gameplay and the gameplay alone.

@Heavyarms55 Everything except Rogue One. Much better than all the prequels, sequels and Solo.

@Xiovanni Shame, only local multiplayer too.

@SwitchForce or perhaps he's aware of the bigger picture outside of the article. I suggest you read this post from yesterday about Nintendo's legal department losing https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2020/03/nintendos_request_to_dismiss_joy-con_drift_lawsuit_gets_rejected
