Why is this even an article? You stress several times this is a perfectly legal and legitimate practice but then go on and on and on and on about giving the indication that there's something shady about it.
@ejamer isn't that what all the articles on this site are like? completely noncommittal and lacking any actual viewpoint? "blah blah blah, some people say this, some people say that, either way it's up for you to decide."
I want to know how they decided the criteria of games that they have listed as "must buy" or "not for me" etc in my profile also. seems odd. especially since they're mostly right.
front page layout is a mess and unintuitive. I already quit reading most of the articles because there was too much blah blah blah preamble to get to the meat of the information. now everything is just splattered all over the front page, making it not even worth bothering to try to hope to find something interesting that wasn't already reported 6 hour earlier somewhere else.
Why would NoE being doing QA on anything other than their own localization work? Do they even employ any developers to do such work? Between Miyamoto and Platinum, I doubt it's even getting anywhere near NoE until any bugs are worked out.
Top priority and working as fast as possible? The what was all that time wasted dressing up like Link and playing Tri-Force Heroes on YouTube for hours at a time?
"multiple sources within the video game retail sector".... uh, the character DLC won't be going to retail, and the video game retail sector can't pull their heads out of their collective *ss*s to order/stock enough amiibo. "the video game retail sector" will be the absolute LAST group of people to trust regarding this type of rumor.
Developer pitches a concept to Nintendo. Nintendo rejects it or it never comes to fruition. Must hapen dozens of times daily. Not seeing what's so interesting here.
I'm 38. I was there for Sega and Joe Pesci. I had no idea that this article was of no interest to me until I read it and realized it was about a Sega arcade game....in Japan. Hence, my question.
Why do you keep asking us if we agree with your opinions and then to post the answer in the comments? We haven't played it. Unless you assume the majority of your readership are also reviewer from other sites that receive preview copies.
Isn't Monolith Soft a wholly owned subsidiary of Nintendo? This is like saying Nintendo stepped in to help Nintendo with online functionality. Not sure how it's news. Or why it was even a distinction made by the development group to begin with. One would assume Nintendo is deeply involved in the development and functionality of their own games.
I think anyone arguing that voice-chat is crucial for this game is delusional, since they've never actually played it and have no idea if it's crucial or not. If the developers found it unnecessary, then I'll take their word for it over anyone who has yet to lay hands on it.

Re: Feature: The Poor Career Choice of Super Smash Bros. Professionals
I have hobbies that I want to be paid for too. I want to play videogames, make iTunes playlists, listen to Howard Stern, and read comic books
Let's leave this argument here before things get ugly -Lz

Should have asked about the new music.
The new songs, to me, are a bit bland. They don't have the energy of the old ones and are not as memorable.

No
Re: Industry Analysts Speculate On Nintendo's Future And Satoru Iwata's Possible Successor
I think Michael Pachter, somewhere in there, admitted he doesn't know anything (or enough) about Nintendo to comment. But he still did. As always.
Re: Weirdness: Sega's Repackaged Transformers Arcade Game Is An Unexpected Nod To Its Glorious Past
I only skimmed the article, admittedly, but does this have anything to do with Nintendo?

Didn't Miyamoto basically already tell us this last week?
Re: Rumour: Former Rare Composer David Wise Is Working On An Unannounced Nintendo Title
Maybe these Diddy Kong Racing rumors that are circulating are for a Retro-designed MK8 dlc pack. That would make more sense than a full-fledged game.

@Grumblevolcano
Is that really a problem?
Re: Sega Is Focusing On 3DS For Sonic Boom Because It Wasn't Happy With The Wii U Version
Ummmm, yeah it was the Wii U's fault. Whatever. All this means is that they realize they burned their bridge with that particular install base.

Re: Video: What Do You Get When You Combine Mario Kart and Mad Max?
Too much Mad Max, not enough Mario Kart for this to work well. Cutting down the original trailer would have helped.

@mjc0961 totally agree. It's so aggravating and duplicitous
