I guess if I had to pick one it would be Oregon Trail on the 3DS, ugly graphics, iffy controls, and some ridiculousness that happens. But somehow it has a place in my collection.
What probably happened was that Nintendo realizes that by the time a Switch Pro becomes “economically feasible” it would be time for a Switch 2 so they might be focusing on that.
Didn’t we roughly have the same discussion when Castlevania Symphony of the Night vs Castlevania 64?
Now granted I don’t think this one is worth the full $60 since I don’t really care for MercurySteam and how they develop games. If this were being developed by Wayforward or Yacht Club then I would be all over it.
The developers fill me with no confidence. We will see more in the coming months and hopefully they pull a turn around and not become complacent like Arzest.
How long before a certain analyst comes out and demands that “Nintendo should go third party” and “Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 could sell 1,000,000,000 copies if it were on mobile phones.”

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Business Remains Strong, But Is The Bloom Off Switch Lite?
$150 for the Lite by itself or $200 but have either Mario Kart or New Super Mario Bros bundled with it.
We are getting to the point where Nintendo had the 2DS come out as a budget device.
More colors would be a welcome touch as well.
Re: Switch Hardware Sales Reach 89 Million Despite Facing A Year-On-Year Slump
There’s going to be on analyst who will say “because they didn’t sell the 89 million on launch day it can be considered a failure.”
Re: Soapbox: Playdate Sold Out In 20 Minutes - Is It Time For A New Nintendo Handheld?
It still stings that the Switch is not backwards compatible with the massive DS/3DS catalog.
Re: Former Nintendo Of America President Reveals His New Book
He said “ass” one time in 2004…
Other than that, under his “direction” Nintendo of America went from 2nd to 4th in the Nintendo Hierarchy.
Re: EB Games Canada To Rebrand To GameStop By The End Of This Year
EB Games before the (2005ish) merger with GameStop was a much better company.
Re: Nintendo Gigaleak Reveals Scrapped DS Projects, Including A New Pokémon Pinball Game
The Pokémon Pinball one stings.
Re: Random: Ed Boon Responds To Mortal Kombat X Street Fighter Requests
We sat through Street Fighter x Tekken, so something to redeem that would be welcomed.
Re: Collection Of Mint Condition NES Games Fetches $30,000 For Goodwill
I would like to say that I used to find neat things at Goodwills until about 5 years ago. I found a Bentley Compuvision for $3.50 back in 2000.
Re: Early Wii Remote Concepts Have Been Uncovered In The Nintendo Gigaleak
To read that Pokemon Pinball DS was in the works at one point and was cancelled.
Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Switch OLED, Worth The Upgrade? Team NL Has A Chat
I think I would be full on board if the Switch Lite got an OLED upgrade. I like the actual D-Pad on the left side.
Re: Metroid Dread Producer Hopes Fans Look Forward To "Future Episodes" Once The Current Story Arc Concludes
It’s the same argument made when it was Castlevania Symphony of the Night vs Castlevania 64.
Re: Gabe Newell: Pricing Valve's Switch-Like Steam Deck Was "Painful"
These are the same arguments made when it was the Game Boy vs Game Gear and the DS vs PSP.
To be fair, if something was going to disrupt the market it would of been the Nividia Shield.
Re: Valve's Steam Deck Might Be The Closest We'll Get To A Switch Pro In 2021
I mean this is neat but I don’t think it has too much appeal for me.
Re: Scalpers Set Their Sights On The Switch OLED As Pre-Orders Go Live In The US
Part of me was kinda hoping that Nintendo would replace the LCD Switch with the OLED Switch at $299 and not tell anyone.
It’s how the GBASP-AGS101 was handled.
Re: Nintendo's Record On Conflict Minerals Is Praised, But With An Important Catch
Does it really matter?
Re: Talking Point: Everyone Has A Bad Game They Love, So What's Yours?
I guess if I had to pick one it would be Oregon Trail on the 3DS, ugly graphics, iffy controls, and some ridiculousness that happens. But somehow it has a place in my collection.
Re: EA Is Bringing Another Legacy Edition Of FIFA To Nintendo Switch
It makes me miss the GBA/DS days when a specific team would work on the handheld versions.
Re: Round Up: Here Are The First "Hands-On" Impressions Of The Nintendo Switch OLED
That color scheme and comparing it to the GBASP revision is pushing me into upgrading to the OLED Switch.
Re: Talking Point: Where Does The Switch OLED Announcement Leave The Rumoured Switch Pro?
What probably happened was that Nintendo realizes that by the time a Switch Pro becomes “economically feasible” it would be time for a Switch 2 so they might be focusing on that.
Re: After Months Of 'Switch Pro' Rumours, Nintendo Officially Unveils The Nintendo Switch OLED Model
Like I did on the Vita, I am going to go blind playing Lumines on this thing.
Re: Feature: 30 Hours Into The Game With A Higher Metascore Than Zelda: Breath Of The Wild
It’s not this type of game that annoys me, but the fan base.
Re: Lil Nas X Is Coming To Fuser
I thought Lil Nas was the tattoo guy but it seems that his name is Lil Xan.
Re: Dispatch Games To Send Digital Codes As Customers Await Delayed Physical Orders
These guys are crooked shysters.
Re: Video: Are 2D Games Worth $60?
Didn’t we roughly have the same discussion when Castlevania Symphony of the Night vs Castlevania 64?
Now granted I don’t think this one is worth the full $60 since I don’t really care for MercurySteam and how they develop games. If this were being developed by Wayforward or Yacht Club then I would be all over it.
Re: Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Will Have "Various Quality-Of-Life Enhancements", Nintendo Says
It’s a Zelda game, how many ******* tutorials does it ******* need?
Re: Yes, Cruis'n Blast Is Getting A Physical Release On Switch
The arcade machine is all kinds of fun. I am in on this one.
Re: 'Castlevania Advance Collection' Possibly Revealed By Rating In Australia
I am ready to ditch my Castlevania Double Pack. I paid $10 for it so it should fetch a nice return.
Re: Nintendo Reassures Us That Bayonetta 3 "Still Exists" Despite E3 No-Show
To be fair, if this franchise were to be multi platform it would be on entry #10 and people would be asking that it “take a break.”
Re: Yes, The Samus Returns Team Helped Nintendo Develop Metroid Dread
Samus Returns was a below average game that people were blind to its faults because we were desperate for a real Metroid game.
This team is the Arzest of Europe.
Re: Metroid 5 Is Coming To Switch As Metroid Dread, And It's 2D
The developers fill me with no confidence. We will see more in the coming months and hopefully they pull a turn around and not become complacent like Arzest.
Re: Talking Point: E3 Leaks Are Inevitable, But Do You Actually Want To Know?
If things are out there I may take a peek but I don’t really care enough to actively seek them out.
Re: Feature: What's Your Most Treasured Club Nintendo Possession?
The only thing I kept was the Playing Cards.
Re: Exclusive: Super Rare Shorts On Skipping Switch eShop With Physical-Only Games
Honestly, I’ve lost track of all of these niche publishers and what they have published.
Re: Every Dragon Quest Game Ranked
IX is my top pick.
Re: Poll: Will You Be Using Motion Controls In Mario Golf: Super Rush?
Motion control should of stayed dead in 2010.
Re: Random: Yes, Someone's Made A Handheld Virtual Boy With Light Up Buttons
I would pay $300ish for something like this.
Re: Switch Was Outsold By PS5 And Xbox Series X|S In The UK Last Month
How long before a certain analyst comes out and demands that “Nintendo should go third party” and “Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 could sell 1,000,000,000 copies if it were on mobile phones.”
Re: Yuji Naka Parted Ways With Square Enix Following Balan Wonderworld's Release
It would be hilarious if Naka ends up at Nintendo.
Re: Nintendo's E3 Direct To Air 15th June
I will wait until after the video for the news since it will be a whole lot of the same stuff.
Re: Nintendo Wins $2.1 Million In Lawsuit Against ROM Website
It’s good but at the same time I would gladly pay $10 each for GBA roms on the Switch. Yet Nintendo continues to ignore my offer…
Re: Feature: More Than Just Pokémon - Japan’s Secret World Of Game Boy Color
Dragon Quest 3 might be the best GBC game out there. Another “lost” classic is Project S-11.
Re: Switch Pro Rumours Intensify As New Retailer Listing Appears Online
It’s happening but due to bots you won’t be able to buy one until late 2023.
Re: Feature: Nintendo Hardware Refreshes Through The Ages
There was something “unnintendo” like when the GBASP was announced, foldable, rechargeable, sleek, and a lit up screen.
Re: Switch Frame Rate And Resolution For House Of The Dead: Remake Seemingly Revealed
@BloodNinja I did the same thing for this one and Part 2. Nothing like dual wielding the light guns.
Re: Dragon Quest XII: The Flames Of Fate Is Running On Unreal Engine 5
That means it will play floaty like XI.
Re: Dragon Quest Creator Teases Possible HD-2D Remakes Of The First Two Games
They kinda skipped over IX, I mean even X has a “remake” now too with Dragon Quest X Offline.
Re: Poll: What's Your Favourite Game Boy Color... Colour?
Teal, I miss that GBC color.
Re: Sonic Origins Spin Dashes To "The Latest Platforms" Next Year
Since I technically do not own a copy of 3 I guess I am in.
Re: Rumour: Nintendo Switch 'Pro' Reveal Expected Before E3, Out This Year
Considering that Dragon Quest XII platform cannot be mentioned yet is intriguing.
Secondly, I heard that bots have already purchased the Switch Pro’s from now until June 2023 so goodluck finding one.
Re: SEGA To Reveal 'Projects' For Sonic's 30th Anniversary This Week
I would love to have the Saturn version of 3D Blast.
