Button controls for taiko are pretty great especially w/ detached joycons. Touchscreen is ok too. The Hori drum is problematic and creates many problems for its owners. Check on google for the many, many forum conversations between people with Hori drumcon problems. If you want the truest available experience you have to order the taiko force lv 5 from that one guy on taobao for $400+. and even that handmade peripheral has a problems which are it doesn’t support “big” notes and also doesn’t have the best base.
