Risk of Rain 2 made a surprise splash on the Switch eShop not long ago. If you would prefer a hard copy of the game, though, you're in luck. According to a listing on Amazon, this version expected to arrive on 15th November for $39.99 USD.
To top it off, the game will also include the original Risk of Rain, which was released last year on the Nintendo Switch. So you're essentially getting two games in one. At this point in time, it's unknown if the first game will be included on the card or if it will be an added download code. One other factor worth considering is the future content coming to the game:
Risk of Rain 2 is still in Early Access over on Steam, and as you can see above, there are additional updates planned right up until Summer 2020. If the game card does release in November, it means you'll still have to download all of the above DLC.

Very cool that it comes with the first one
That's cool. The game's a bit on the pricey side for an eShop release so this physical version definitely makes it more tempting. Got a lot to buy and play between now and then though so I'll decide whether to get it closer to launch.
Got this and the first one on my eshop list.... mate get this physical though
That probably means Bulletstorm:DOS will come out physically as well
@PBandSmelly As a Floridian... bravo. I laughed.
Well im just gonna save some money for a change aaaaaaaaaand its gone.
I imagine that they will release an updated version this time next year with all of the DLC on the cartridge as well.
I have both games but will buy the physical as well.
@mrmememan I was thinking the same thing. Here’s to hoping.
If it’s still early access then it seems a bit soon to have a complete physical version
It seems to me Gearbox maybe scrambling for funds with releasing this and bulletstorm on the same day without warning. Seems there’s a lot of interesting news swirling around Borderlands development, could be to fund that
What about Europe?
Day one buy for the physical! I wasn't interested in the first one because it looked too much like another metroidvania. But this is a great deal on both games.
@Dakotastomp But it’s not a Metroidvania..? It takes all of 2 seconds to google something and find out.
This has solved my dilemma of which to get first then! Will definitely import this as soon as it's out if they don't do a European release.
@nessisonett I said it LOOKS like it. Not that it is, but With the whole 2D Rougelike formula, it's pretty much the same thing. Even then, I just didn't like the style of the first game. That's just my hot take on it, bruh.
