@Ryu_Niiyama I haven't yet, but am fully planning on it! I've been so busy the last month I haven't gotten to play it nearly as much as I'd like to. I think most of the blame can also be put on getting into Minecraft again recently... haha !
@NeonPizza I'm not going to bother reading all that, but I'm sorry that graphical fidelity is that important to you- you're missing out on a lot of very fun games !
@Ryu_Niiyama right there with you, I think Penny's is one of the best indie games I've played in a while and I couldn't even notice the lower frame rate. It doesn't impact my fun with the title or how much I truly love its visuals.
The constant graphics/4K/framerate elitism within the gaming community is one of my biggest pet peeves. So many gamers blacklist a title as "unplayable" because it doesn't align with their standards of graphical fidelity. I couldn't care less what a game looks like, I just want to have fun.
It's grinding my gears how many people don't understand that this game was, indeed, cancelled.
MOTHER 3 for N64 wasn't released, it transitioned to the GBA and many, many elements were lost in that transition. It's the exact same situation here. By default, the true vision of the original game was cancelled in that transition and there are many aspects that are preserved here for our eyes for the very first time. It is for all intents and purposes a cancelled game. This is not Star Fox Adventures, this is 100% Dinosaur Planet. It's not a hard distinction to grasp.
Fire n Ice deserves more love. Beautifully animated and it plays fantastically. If you're a fan of brain teasers/games with puzzles to solve I can't recommend it enough.
Might wanna revise the screenshots that spoil a certain post-game unlockable character... I remember that was a huge surprise when I beat the game in 2013 and I would've hated to have that spoiled for me. Just a thought.
I remember when the initial article announcing this release went out, there was a boatload of comments from people saying "they better not charge $60!! I'm going to feel ripped off!" or "I bought the DLC already! I would've waited for this release since it will be less expensive!" Now those same people are upset that Nintendo is charging the base cost for the game as well as the base cost of the DLC. You lot are genuinely insatiable. These things take years to develop, and as a business, they need to make their earnings for the product they provide. It's not rocket science. Nintendo fans are never happy. Complain if they charge full price, complain if they sell at a discount.
@Heavyarms55 Definitely. I think the winiest people are often the loudest. Happily downloaded at midnight and I'm loving how nice these games all look!
@bryce951 **** yes brother you bring up a good ****ing point why the **** are any of us even on this website I mean for ****s sake what's the point of even living at this point I don't want to enjoy anything, God is dead, long live the rats that will feed off of the nutrients from my corpse long after I've gone.
@mesome713 Thank you so much for posting this article. Just think of all the money Nintendo would lose if people started making copies of their own GameCube games! It would be one thing if they didn't make it easy to access the vast majority of their award-winning back catalog spanning multiple generations of players and hardware, then I could condone this act. But since they have made all of their heavy-hitters of the last nearly 40 years readily accessible, this is just outrageous!!
@Rpg-lover My friend and I downloaded this a few days ago and have been having a blast. They must have updated the controls because it's never felt better to play, and this is one I've been revisiting for years so I'm quite familiar with hit. Highly recommended!
It will be interesting to see how well this game fairs, but I'm not a fan of any of these designs. They lack that special "oomf" of originality. Probably has something to do with the overarching issue of taking a little too much inspiration from Pokemon.
@BenAV How does 4th not sound impressive when it's only been out for 6 months? I'm sure it will get an extra boost once each DLC pack drops. Considering it was also the fastest selling Switch game before Animal Crossing came out, it sounds like you're being needlessly negative.
@Yosher Seeing as how SwSh had the highest-selling launch of any Pokemon game ever, was met with rave reviews, and continues to have millions of players every day... you are in the loud minority of feeling disappointed. Move on with your life and let people enjoy things.
noun newly received or noteworthy information, especially about recent or important events. "I've got some good news for you" a broadcast or published report of news. plural noun: the news "he was back in the news again"
For the people laughably writing this off as "old news," we knew about Dragon King, but there was previously no knowledge about this second prototype that controlled like Resident Evil. There is much more detail directly from the source, PushDustin's Twitter. These interviews and translations are not only hard work, but important to preserving video game history. Show some respect!
@link3710 It's totally valid for you to feel that way. I understand that as longtime fans age, they may start yearning for an experience from Pokémon that shows the series has grown up as much as the individual has. I hope SwSh offers you something to change your mind, but thank you for trying it out anyway.
I've put in nearly 400 hours over the last year. This game has been food for the soul. I keep coming back to it and it's such an evergreen title. Banjo-Kazooie finally being added certainly helps.
@BenAV Oh look, someone that probably hasn't even touched the games and has solely relied on hearsay on the internet to make a decision about their quality. I get it. I got wrapped up in the negative press and I will humbly admit I was wrong, especially because I actually played them. This is the most fun I've had with a Pokémon game since I was a kid, Dexit notwithstanding.
I know there's literally no way of this happening... but seeing as how Star Fox 2 is getting released, and we never expected that an unreleased game from 20+ years ago would see the light of day... what if they somehow put a build of the N64 Mother 3 game on the Japanese N64 Classic? Stranger things have happened. Again, I sincerely doubt it. This is in no way me even holding my breath about it, but it sure is nice to dream. Honestly I would probably do a canon ball off of a bridge as I would die a happy man.

@Letzg077 go play the old one ?? it's a very easy solution to not liking the remake.
