Re: Review: Mutant Mudds (3DSWare)

I'm actually really happy there aren't any boss fights! I hate 'em. Sometimes in a platformer you can feel when a boss challenge feel like it's shoe-horned in, and I definitely didn't want that for this. I will buy this as soon as I can!

So the RE demo was okay. The graphics are absolutely amazing! Gorgeous, even. I also liked the fact that you could change the dialog to it's native Japanese. I got really scared while playing, and the music was totally complimentary to the atmosphere. However, I'm glad the demo came out because it has reassured my notion that I won't be picking this up. RE games just aren't for me. I appreciate the game though!

Re: North America Gets 3DS eShop Demo Tomorrow

It's easy for you guys in Europe to call out the Americans for whining (and I totally admit I have been doing so incessantly) because you guys have been getting everything early AND coupled with announcements so you know when things actually happen! I feel like America's the new Europe of the '90s... wouldn't be surprised if the American Wii U only ran in 50HZ. Regardless, I'm happy we're getting this tomorrow, awesome.

I've been complaining a lot about NOAmerica lately. And for anyone that's doubted me, you know you've got it bad when NOAustralia, infamous for the poopery, get something awesome before you do, with no announcement for your country in sight. Ace!

Re: Nintendo Has No Plans to Fix Mario Kart 7's Maka Wuhu Glitch

bahooney

I think it's really dumb. Everybody picking Maka Wahu just completely ruins the fun. What's the point? Yes, you will win; what does THAT lead to afterward? The point of playing MK7 online is to have fun, but if the outcome is predetermined, or you're only racing on one course, well... it stinks. But if you can't beat 'em...

Re: Nintendo Download: 12th January 2012 (North America)

Guys, stop whining! Isn't it good to have the releases be limited so they don't run out titles right away? I feel like it's much more fun to have releases slow to a trickle, it makes each week fun to wait for, rather than having every game they intend on releasing already there. It means if there's a game you want, there's still a chance it could be there. It doesn't mean Nintendo is abandoning these services if they don't get attention. First you guys were complaining about the lack of 3DSWare. And we get some, and nobody's happy! I don't understand...

I hate NOA so much. Soooo much. They're really letting me down as of late. Like that rad contest Europe is getting on Club Nintendo? And the lack of Kid Icarus? Even if it is coming out next week, NOE has been filling in their fans about the 3D Classic Kid Icarus for weeks now, even going so far as to let them know when it will be released. Whereas I get a little sad we didn't get Swapnote, it's not included on the Thursday DL update, and then out of nowhere, it's just there. Super dumb.

Re: Win a Metallic Red 3DS!

@James, I know, but there are instances where a European 3DSware is released weeks if not months before NOA gets it. There are also instances where Europe will get a game that North America will not. Though the original DS is region-free, I was fortunate that Tingle's Freshly Picked Rosy Rupee Land was released in Europe. I also had to import a European Wii for Xenoblade. I enjoy having consoles from every region to get the most gameplay imaginable!

Re: Win a Metallic Red 3DS!

May I ask why it's only for European residents? I personally would've loved to enter, seeing as how Nintendo of Europe has been on a winning streak of gold compared to NOA.

Re: Nintendo and Namco Team Up to Bring One Piece to Europe

bahooney

This is so stupid. I mean, congrats, Europe, but seriously. Where's the love for America lately? Getting Xenoblade was awesome, but we've heard nothing else about the OpRa titles, and we get no announcements or updates for /anything./ NOA is really slacking. Big time. Pick up the pace, Reggie.

Re: Nintendo Download: 17th November 2011 (Europe)

It's pretty lame that Nintendo didn't REALLY remake it in 3D, ala Excitebike and that fighting game who's name escapes me. A touch of depth is pretty cool, but it would be great if they tried a little harder with this one. Kirby deserves it.

Re: Talking Point: The Role of the N64 on the 3DS

This is a fantastic article, and brings up some interesting points. I'm really fond of repackaging the remastered games as a series, and selling them for maybe $20. I didn't even think of that possibility, which seems like it would be a great idea.

That was the main qualm many of my friends had; They couldn't justify paying $40 for Star Fox and Ocarina because they could get it for $30 less on the virtual console, and many could argue that there isn't enough value in the remasters to warrant the extra $30.

Personally, I would love more remakes done by Grezzo, they've done a great job!

To everyone whining about the Virtual Console service:

Seriously, what is your beef? Yes, there aren't new Wii VC games, but that was because when the service started, we'd be getting 2/3 a week! Eventually, Nintendo is going to run out of their back catalog, and the VC will be rendered obsolete after that. Personally, I'm glad that Nintendo is taking their time releasing Game Boy games, that way in a few years, everyone won't be complaining about how Nintendo has to pick up the pace.

Just be grateful that we have such an excellent service. And to those arguing, "Oh, people could emulate this stuff for cheaps," not everyone wants to break the law. /rant
