I work a job that AI was "supposed to replace" but all AI has been is an incredible tool.

I've also talked to artists who love AI for conceptualizing, for smoothing out brainstorming, and in one case, for helping them learn how to draw.

Bad actors will abuse AI the way they abuse everything. Bad actors are also the ones trying to stuff AI back in Pandora's box, because it gives power to the masses that was exclusively the domain of the rich and influential in the past.

This game's combat system is just okay and its story is clearly inspired by Masato Kato. The latter is not a compliment.

I did have my fun with it, but I wish it was so much more than what it is.

a) It isn't just the person in 1st who gets messed up, and if they haven't made other mistakes they should maintain their lead since the people behind them also got wrecked; and

2) It actually helps the launcher of the blue shell.

I suspect Switch 2 news will be a part of this.

I'm enjoying it way more than the regular Grand Prix though, mostly because Knockout Tour makes much better use of the big open world than just driving between courses.

No excuse for the soft plastic screen film atop a super thin glass screen that is prone to firing out glass shards when cracked. Gorilla Glass is the minimum standard here.

I initially gave a pass to the no hall effect sticks on the joy-cons because I thought the system magnets would interfere, but since hall-effect mods are already being made, it's clear Nintendo could've figured something out here.

The dock feels super flimsy despite being a more powerful and more important component.

But what can you do? Nintendo knows they can get away with sub-par quality for premium pricing.

@Ramouz Yup. I wish Nintendo was not in the hardware business so I could play Mario Kart World on superior hardware with superior controllers.

Nintendo need not be worried. That said, I'm actually eyeing the Xbox Ally. I love my Steam Deck but I also like the grips, d-pad, specs, and store-switching capabilities of the Xbox Ally; I might just get one to replace my Deck.

Congo's Caper is on SNES online, and is IMO the best of these games, but all are fun. I'll see what the Kickstarter tiers are on Tuesday.

A run through Tetris 99 did NOT net me any accidental hard drops, so I'm cautiously optimistic the d-pad is way better.

Put that $10 in an old cookie tin and save it for something that's actually worth it.

I have one as part of my pre-order. I hope it has a better d-pad than its predecessor, though other than that d-pad I like the first one.
