Re: Hi-Fi Rush Has Been Rated For The Switch... Again

axelhander

People saying they've no love for Krafton as if Nintendo's own evil practices prevented them from purchasing a Switch 2. Stop playing at being a puritan and just get the things you like if indeed you like them. Here's hoping Hi-Fi Rush comes out on Switch 2 so more people can play it, as it's a good game. Chai for Smash.

Re: "I Don't See AI Taking Over" - Split Fiction Director Josef Fares On The Rise Of AI

@Polvasti I like how you cherry-picked the part where the author discusses energy use as an issue but completely ignore, like, most of the article, including everywhere else energy use is discussed.

Data centers use the same energy everything else uses, so not sure where this "most of the energy data centers use isn't sustainable" nonsense comes from. The negative environmental impact of energy production is a byproduct of class society and capitalism, where the choices are made by the tiny few who own everything. It's a much, much more complex issue than just AI or data centers.

Re: Talking Point: Does It Bother You That Big Games Companies Are Using GenAI?

@Swiggity_Swanky This would be a fantastic analogy if it wasn't terrible in every conceivable way.

The strawman you set up about me creating art with AI when I specifically talked about AI as one tool in the whole process is chef's kiss, as is the notion that someone who never used it will automatically find success BECAUSE of that alone.

Please don't respond if you don't understand what's being discussed, with thanks.

Re: Mega Man Returns In 2027 With A "Brand-New Entry" For Switch And Switch 2

axelhander

@B3RTAY I don't find it lackluster, I find it deliberate. I like the run cycle I've seen in Dual Override way more, mind you, and my favorite of the classic series is MM7, which is the first time a classic Mega Man title felt super premium. But anytime I play 11, which is fairly often actually, I don't feel like I'm looking at something that animates poorly.

Re: Talking Point: Six Months Since Launch, How Would You Rate Switch 2?

axelhander

4/10.

For the price point, it should've had: a proper glass screen and not this wafer-thin glass with a scratch-prone plastic layer; handheld ergonomics at least a quarter as good as the Steam Deck's; games that aren't as egregiously expensive as they are.

I don't regret the purchase, but I still wish Nintendo was a third party dev, so I could've enjoyed games like Bananza and Metroid Prime 4 on my PC.
