By the way, James Rolfe (aka Angry Video Game Nerd) has announced that The Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures I & II Deluxe is coming to Steam and Nintendo Switch on 30th October 2020.
@FX102A Bravely Default II is published by Nintendo outside of Japan. Then again, one of these Partner Showcases showed a physical release of Cadence of Hyrule, which was published by Nintendo...
@Oppyz666 They only report using the press releases they get from Nintendo of Europe, which usually doesn't bother to mention the Arcade Archives releases anymore, which is disappointing.
Piko Interactive hold the IP of The Immortal now. So to anyone still expecting the likes of Desert Strike and Jungle Strike to come to the SNES app, they're still owned by EA, so I wouldn't hold your breath.
@pipes Probably never as a) Capcom's games aren't part of the Arcade Archives series and b) UN Squadron/Area 88 was licensed from the manga series of the same name.
@masterLEON That would be the Nintendo European Research and Development team in Paris, formerly known as Actimagine, the company who created the Mobiclip video codec for mobiles and game consoles. Now specialising in middleware and retro system emulation for Nintendo systems.
Let's hope it's not as broken as the last one where the disc versions only contained the training level with the rest of the content released as a massive day one patch. Then again, it's an Activision thing...
@GrailUK Don't you mean Karate Champ rather than International Karate? If so, it's already on Arcade Archives. (IK was a C64 game by Archer Maclean published by System 3)
This is the same Jim Carrey who has only done two sequels of his own films - both of which were critically mauled (Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls and Dumb & Dumber To).
@coderkind A quick look-me-do at the UK eShop confirms that Fantasy Zone and Shinobi will also be released in UK & Europe on 23rd January, priced at £5.99 each.
By the way, in 2017 YouTuber Kim Justice (and I know she has some fans here) did a great video on the history of The Bitmap Brothers, charting their origins, rise to fame and sad-but-inevitable burnout.
@tendonerd Rebellion are a publisher themselves with Sold Out as their distributor for physical releases.
By the way, the picture of the Rebellion CEOs and Mike Montgomery is in keeping with the spirit of the Bitmaps' picture of Montgomery, Steve Kelly and Eric Matthews stood beside Robert Maxwell's helicopter.
It's now the Wednesday after, and Arcade Archives Scramble is not yet available across Europe. It's not listed on any of Nintendo's websites across the UK or mainland Europe (except for their Swiss website, although the title itself is not available to download).
@Pod No, Digital Eclipse are handling the remaster, with Nighthawk Interactive publishing at retail.
Mega Drive & Game Boy versions of Aladdin (as well as the trade show demo of the Mega Drive version), and SNES, Mega Drive & Game Boy versions of The Lion King. Game Boy versions also playable with their Super Game Boy enhancements.
@Edu23XWiiU Free Radical made TimeSplitters, EA only published the third game. THQ Nordic now hold the rights to TimeSplitters.
@flapjack-ashley There's Mutant Football League, but that isn't a pure American Football game like the Madden games. I forgot about all the Popcap IPs as well like Plants vs. Zombies and Peggle!
If I were to get any EA games that could potentially come to the Switch, they would probably be PGA Tour (if they choose to revive the series), Grand Slam Tennis, SSX, NBA Street (or NBA Jam), Need for Speed or Dead Space.
