@imageform Hi, sorry it took so long to reply, I checked and it's definitely not there, it only shows the Mario Cat and the Sonic one, which were free, I think.
@FragRed Tricky indeed. The recIpe is: 1) SECURE main third party games for ALL the console lifecycle; 2) AS MANY first party games at launch, even if they have to be ports; and -more importantly- 3) MARKETING, MARKETING, and more MARKETING.
Can't blame the guy, but that brings me to the question: how can NX come out this year if Nintendo hasn't even made devkits available to any willing studio yet? It sounds like a winter-2017 release to me...
@liveswired The limitations you're talking about were gone with WiiU, anyone that was following the stories before launch would knew it, let alone the devs/publishers. And Origin on WiiU? Seriously? I can't imagine anyone thinking that would have been a better outcome, tbh. Having said that, I always said Nintendo should have paid EA to have all the major releases on WiiU (and 3DS, to an extent), and I will keep saying they should absolutely do that for NX. They need it.
@SMW @Tsurii @erv What they said. And ironically, it was one of the best Lego game I played, apart from LCU. That made the promised DLC not coming even worse, in a way.
@Jayvir No sensitiviness, I was just matching the tone of your post, you were the first to "assume". And no, most shoot em up of my times didn't loop, sorry. Even then, restarting is just some sort of "game+", endless kind of games are another thing entirely, they usually rely on online scores leaderboards, that's why some people in this post section was asking if it was present. They're just not my cup of tea, that's all. But again, I haven't played the game, so if someone has played it and confirm it does have some kind of story/progression/ending, I'll happily stand corrected.
@Jayvir I've played and beaten most of them since 1984, my friend, probably before you were born, but the review did not mention the game having an ending, just endless repetitive and faster waves of enemies. Hence my assumption of it being an endless-type of game, since they seem to be quite popular this days. So you played it and can confirm it doesn't belong to that genre, that it does infact have some kind of objective and ending? Or you just like to disagree with people in principle?
They deserve the success, very good game, only things that would need some tweaks are the enemies at night (coming too soon at 8pm, nights too long, and they keep respawning, making best way to pass the night up in your shelter, waste of time).
I suppose new layout just need some getting used to. Only gripes is with the comments, takes forever to load them now, regardless of how many are; and your comments should be available to see as soon as you click on your avatar, or at least should be selectable in the drop down menu, it took me a while to find them. I agree with the ignore list, we need it. I was talking about the mobile site, btw, as it's the only one I use.
I loved episodes IV-VI, should have ended there. VII is just a reskin of those episodes, minus the great acting and with some very questionable decisions on main characters eliminations. I can't see it getting better for VIII, tbh.
@rjejr Eheh, don't mind them kids. I for one, agree with you 100% on the need for advertising and catering. They need to step it up big time for NX, period.
Calling it now, I reckon NX will be made of 2 components:
1) Home Console, basically a much more powerful WiiU, faster/more RAM/etc., which will play WiiU games perfectly, and will connect to 2) Handheld, basically a much more powerful 3DS, which will work as controller when connected to Home Console, or as a portable on his own.
NX games will be flashcards, can only be inserted in Handheld, but when connected to Home Console will output to TV taking advantage of stronger processing power, displaying native code. When used on the Handheld, games will automatically downscale in FPS and definition, to match smaller screen.
Still not sure if WiiU games will be available in flashcards too, or as digital download only.
Bought day one, well deserved success! The only small blemish, imo, is NG+, which is basically just a second run through the game, you only keep the hats. Maybe with the update something will change there...
@zool We have a 2nd, 3rd and even 4th extra screen, but they're all PCs, laptops included. And that's the case for a large percentage of people in UK. You should know the average family-home size, living in uk yourself...
@zool Gamepad works a treat, off tv play alone is worth it for me and whoever has a family who doesn't live in a mansion with multiple TVs. Now, if everyone KNEW about it, that's a different story; and it's mainly Nintendo's fault.
Not bad, but they need more for WiiU in 2016. So far (not counting remakes) there's only Zelda U, Star Fox and GIR#FE. Which would be ok for me, but not to keep the U alive.
