@MarcelPerez24 If you were to come to my house, you will find not one single illegally burnt cd or downloaded song, or movie, or game. I did this when I was younger, early in the days of Hi-speed internet, but realised I was just a thief, no different than those walking out a retail store and not paying. Everything I DL'd I took out to my friends house who has a range, and destroyed them w/ my .45. All my co-workers who illegally DL stuff, I make sure to remind them they are common thieves. Some people won't like what I'm saying, but it is a true statement. 95% seems rather high since only about 1 in 5 of even my coworkers pirate stuff. Not a single one of my close friends do either. I always notice that most people who do things illegally seem to want to say "everyone does it" to justify what they do and not have to consider the fact that what they did is wrong.
I love the gamepad, hated the wiimote/nunchuck. Enjoy off screen play and yes, new gaming possibilies. I just have this nagging feeling the WiiU will never take off, but I think it will at least survive for a few years. Who knows, the Wii went all crazy with sales, and that is my least favorite console of all time, at least that I owned. Only my son played it, and even then barely. We will see if anyone takes adavantage of these possibilities.
Glad to see this. Keeping bringing RPG goodness to Nintendo consoles Atlus. All ready Pre-ordered/paid day one purchase and play. Will be the 1st game since Nocturne that I devote lots of time into. Looking forward to it.
Hmm, NoA is based in Redmond, Washington. Yet there is only one place in the state that get's this. I was stoked to go check it out, but I'll pass now. Lot's of Best Buy's in Washington...
@Mahe FYI this is a full retail version which I have played 60+ hours and still have stuff to do. There are QR code quests and tons of exploration. This is no digital only game, and yes you are entitled to your opinion, but calling game with this much content a ripoff seems highly uninformed.
@CanisWolfred Yes, now all of my plans are coming together. If only I could find a way to ruin all those RPG's as well... J/K. But the game will suck to you because you have already decided that it will. Now there really is no chance for this game, at least with you.
I will be playing this for the 1st time (I own them all and just fire them up to make sure they work) when X/Y are released. Gonna play it with my son and hope to have a blast. Never looked fun to me when I was younger.
@sinalefa If that happened a lot of $$ would leave my account instantly. DC is my favorite system ever, and I own almost every game for it. At least the US released ones. I would love to not leave the the room to play my DC games. Oh I wish a Skies of Arcadia 2 would come out.
As an owner of almost every system that a decent amount of games, I have found that I have played more hours on my DS/3DS than any gaming system, with a possible excepetion being the SNES. Even than I still think the DS/3DS wins out. Favorite system ever?? No, that will always be the DC for me. but my 3DS comes closer than I would have though a year or 2 ago.
I am always jealous of the fact that I can't get excited about Mega Man games. Zero appeal to me, and I own way to many and tried way to many times to like them but I can't. That being said I hope all your Mega Man retro wishes come true, and everyone one of them comes to the VC. Far be it from me to hope only games I want to come to the VC. That would be selfish .
Although I echo these sentiments, I also understand developers not making games at the moment. Where I work, no one will consider a WiiU. They all play COD and Battlefield. I don't play FPS (at least on a console) so to them I am not a real gamer. Real gamers play Big budget GTA type games, FPS, and Madden. I play mainly my 3DS and WiiU, enjoy RPG's and challenging games of any variety (except Mega Man, never liked). They all think very lowly of Nintendo Fanboys.
The majority of people playing games thinks like them, and developers are focused on where they think they'll make the most $$. The masses want more processing speed, faster ram, better graphics and more social media stuff. Nintendo does it's own thing, and I love them for it, but a developer will see a company diverging from most of their customers wants. I do not expect the WiiU to ever gain major 3rd party support. Thankfully I hate most of the "popular" garbage that most people find amazing on 360/PS3, so those games will not appeal to me. I only wish more would develop games for the WiiU to make it more viable to continue into the future full steam ahead.
Losing my Nintendo fan cred here, but I have never played the Donkey Konk Country series. Only the arcade versions from way back in the day. I am considering this game because a bunch of the commentors says its very difficult, and I enjoy the anger that fuels my determination to get further.
@HeatBombastic Lego City: Undercover, I know the loads are long, but its my 1st 40+ hour game on a home console in years. I just usually don't choose to play that long, unless it's my 3DS.
@P-Gamer-C 7 months? Lego City Undercover is great, and MH3U are both a lot of fun and those were out a few months ago at the latest. I agree not ALOT of games are around, but you exagerate a bit much.
I don't use BC a lot but I do occasionally. My son on the other hand is all over my old game collection, plays a ton of GC on the Wii and gba on DS and DS on 3ds.
Although I didn't particularly enjoy Gunman Clive, it looked good and great music. Just not my style of game, nothing against it's quality. Zelda style games are more up my alley so I'm kinda stoked
Altered beast is not a good game, even when I was kid and it was new. Just because it was a pack in title doesn't make it good. Unsure why this game has such a following, but to each their own.
I got Super Metroid last night, SMB2 is a for sure get. Starship and S&S depend on what I read on the reviews. I may get other games down the road. All in all a good week.
@Funny_Moblin I have lots of both. I like physical media, I am a collector as well as a gamer, but only RPG's make me feel like I must own physical media these days. I will be gettin AC:NL digital, since that will be perfect for quick plays at lunch and such. Nintendo worked with me when I traded up w/ my XL, but I also only had a few E-shop games at the time. It is a conundrum, losing save date would really irk me, thankfully the game I care the most about my saved data on are owned with physical copies. If the game means a lot to you, go physical if not which ever catches your fancy. In the end only physical will stay forever, cause any online service may disappear in the future, which in the business world is very unpredictable.
@Funny_Moblin I prefer the XL because the bigger screen is important to me. However the sound seems worse then the 3ds, which my son now has. Some people say the resolution is not as good, but I haven't noticed that. As for the system, it is my favorite at the moment. Lots of great 3ds games, and I can play my massive library of DS games on it as well. E-shop has some fun games, and the future looks oh so bright.
Sweet. I will no longer end up buying copies of this series just because I had extra $$ at the gamestore. I own a few of these but never had in real desire to play them. Digital only means that temptation will be gone, since the collection aspect of owning the game will be nixed.
Well, it is my favorite system that currently, ever maybe not so much. However, it is with me every single day, gaining coins and street/spot passin people. I even take it hiking and enjoy a quick play when I'm taking a breather or having lunch.
I will be getting this, because for some reason I am very fond of this entry in the series. I know it's not really a Mario game (Doki Doki Panic?), but I spent a lot of time playing it and remember it being one of the few games that I couldn't seem to be beat no matter how many times I played it. Sadly that means I will be even worse now, since the newer games these days are very easy in comparison (Most).
Glad to read this article, it makes me happy I'm supporting a company with at least some integrity. After all the problems I've had w/ Sony (PS3), and there unwillingness to even achieve basic customer service, it makes my decision to be mainly a Nintendo guy easier. I'm sure I will own a PS4/720, but I will only buy a few games ever, like I did w/ the PS3/360.
I do hope that info like this encourages people to consider Nintendo products in the future. I have bought a few of my friends WiiU''s in hopes that the fun they are having will rub off on other people they know. All my friends have been suprised by how much fun they are having with the WiiU, and have bought a few games of their own (I supllied NSMBU, LC: Undercover). If you own a WiiU show it off to friends, you may be suprised by their reaction. Only my FPS gamer only friends have not shown any interest when shown the console.
@Ballordie01 I just researched this and Pokemon is owned by Nintendo. They could VC it even if it wasn't. Capcom does VC games so does Sega, possibly others.
I bought Black/White 1&2, and they are the 1st Pokemon games I have ever owned. Thought maybe my son and I would really enjoy them. We both started games, but neither of us seems to mesmorized by them. Have to try again when I have a new game drought.

Very fun game. Unusual style of game, but I found myself playing this a lot more than I thought I would when I first started playing. Worth a go if you can spare the $$.
@Five-seveN Congrats. You do off campus/homeschooling? Because I've been homeschooling my son, and I like it. Get to use my teaching degree for something useful now.
Well I won't be joining in, I refuse to even have a cell phone. I may be a zombie at home for 2hours a day playing one of my game systems, but I am unwilling to become a smart phone zombie. Everone has there face in their phone's all day long. I see people sitting at lunch together, never say a word to eachother but instead mess with their phone. That seems to be the norm these days too, not an exception.
I have a 32GB SanDisk seems to work well have 210,000 blocks left (21GB??) 52 games but only Unchained Blades is a full retail release (per say). Although in fairness I impulse bought way too many game once I got the 32GB card. Lots of games I didn't really need.

@theblackdragon Thanks for backin me up, per se. I couldn't get my browser to let me comment. My feelings, toward Disney actually are philisophical, and create a lot of animosity w/ people I'm finding. I think I will choose to not bring it up anymore. It's not the $$ thing, cause he doesn't get anything he wants. I should have changed what I said to "I've told him of the vile business practices and character of Walt Disney himself, and he has learned that it is a bad company to support."
