Re: Super Mario Bros. 3 Is Warping To North American Virtual Consoles On April 17th

Zodiak13

My GBA sits next to me with many other handhelds. My collection is fully in tact, so I just can't see buying any of these on the WiiU. I have SMB3 on Wii VC I think so I will get that on the cheap. Feel these game are better suited on the 3DS eshop, but oh well. Complaining gets me nowhere though so I guess its good they released them on something at least. Oh, and thank the lord SMB3 is coming, the DL update on Thursday is a haven for "WHERE IS SMB3???" comments. Wont miss those.

Re: Hardware Classics: SNK Neo Geo Pocket Color

Zodiak13

Love this handheld. I am happy to say I still own mine but wish I never got rid of any games. Still have around 10 but I had a lot more if I remember correctly. If anyone see's the system on the cheap snatch it up and give it a try.

Re: Review: Chibi-Robo! Photo Finder (3DS eShop)

Zodiak13

I've always thought that a 6 is representitive of certain gamer types. If a game is in a genre I like, I tend to still enjoy them. If they are in a genre I'm not as into, I rarely like them at all. Seems to me if you enjoy relaxing quirky fun games you will probably get your $10 worth. I can tell by the review that I will not like it, but I have a feeling my son will. So, Nintendo will get my $$$$ regardless...

Re: First Impressions: Kirby: Triple Deluxe Is Three Times More Fun Than Most Other 3DS Games

Zodiak13

I have sadly never really got into the Kirby games, but its not because they're bad games by any means. Guess its just not my thing. My son does enjoy the Kirby series, so I will likely get this at some point and give it a try. From what the preview states, all you Kirby fanatics should have a great time, and that makes me look forward to the US/Europe relase for you folks alone.

Re: Talking Point: An Unplanned Flash Sale Looked Like Retail Download Genius from Nintendo

Zodiak13

@element187 Due to losing my wife for 3 years before I got her back because of online gaming addiction, my computer is a $300 Black Friday special to ensure I can't play online PC games. Although all the new systems have online, I have yet to try the online multiplayer aspects of any of them for obvious reasons. Fortunately for me most 3rd party games don't appeal to me so I'm not missing out on too many games that may be better served on a great gaming PC.

Re: Talking Point: An Unplanned Flash Sale Looked Like Retail Download Genius from Nintendo

Zodiak13

@Rafie My general rule of thumb is that I will buy a system when there are 5 games for it that I REALLY want. Nintendo console (not handhelds) are different because the new systems always release on my Birthday Nov 18th, so have always bought them day 1. I waited on the 3DS almost a year. I still don't have 5 games for the PS3 but at $89 I had to go for it. Back when I was into dudebro games (roughly 2 years) when the 360 released it took only 3 months after launch for me to get it.

Re: Talking Point: An Unplanned Flash Sale Looked Like Retail Download Genius from Nintendo

Zodiak13

@Rafie Because sadly they have 4 games I wanted to play. Ni No Kuni, Tales of Graces F, Tales of Xillia, and Demon souls. Exclusives. Plus the free games from PS+ give me a chance to try games I would be unwilling to buy and see if I am missing out on something good. Same reason I have a Vita. Games I can't get from Nintendo or MS (not that I'm a big MS guy). Oh and the PS3 was mis priced at Fred Meyer for $89 w/ 250G.

Re: Talking Point: An Unplanned Flash Sale Looked Like Retail Download Genius from Nintendo

Zodiak13

@PinkSpider If Nintendo has survived by not discounting games very often and has remained profitable, I say stay the course. I just want them to keep being able to make great games until I die or can't play games anymore. I would rather support Nintendo w/ $60 at launch rather than even wait 3 months and get it for $20. I only like free or dirt cheap if I don't care about the company, i.e. Sony. With the PS3 I have 4 games bought used only and lots of free PS+ games, but have never supported them w/ new product. Why?? Because I don't care about Sony or if their company comes crashing down. I run a repair shop that I would consider charges premium $. I have 5 shops in my area that charge considerably less per hour, yet I am by far the busiest because of the quality of our product and service.

Re: 3DS Region-Free Hack is Hacked by Hackers

Zodiak13

@Hyperstar96 For a site that is of course about Nintendo, NL does a good job of trying to be balanced. I don't think any of the writers on this site are silly enough to think the Big N has no flaws, nor disregards what the rest of the industry is doing. I'm a huge Nintendo fan, but I have come to love the fact that some of the articles on here say "things are not as rosey as they appear". In fact they had an article about how we should be worried about the 3rd party issue just in the last week. The only real bias I believe is that the folks that write for the site want Nintendo to suceed and make great games, and why wouldn't they?? I generally loathe Sony, so why on earth would I write for Push Square?? Sorry about the rant, I love the site and the commentor community even if we don't always agree.

Re: News: Nintendo Dominates Japanese Charts At Christmas

Zodiak13

... Unacceptable, I demand all top games to be Nintendo systems. Due to the Japan's inability to make this happen, I will be boycotting buying any anime for the rest of the month. This should cause some concern, because I personally own the "Gundam Wing" anime on DVD, and I have considered purchasing another anime title in the last decade. That will teach them...

Re: Competition Winners: Prima Zelda Game Guides Box Set

Zodiak13

No congratualtions for you so called winners. It is inexplicable how I, Zodiak13, did not win. I am very sure that I read the rules clearly and they stated that I would win if I entered. Also, I have a patent on winning this contest, and I am going to sue NL and the winners in a Texas court. So congratulations to me, as I will be the "winner" in the next 5-7 years.

Re: Review: Girls' Fashion Shoot (3DS)

Zodiak13

Glad to see some quality games out their for anyone who wants to focus on their feminine side. I love fashion, but can you be a male in this game, and if so is their male clothing lines. I personally have quiet the suit collection, and would enjoy a sim focused on males.

Edit: Nevermind the names says "Girls" specifically. Oh well.

Re: Video: This Dr. Luigi Trailer May Be The Perfect Remedy

Zodiak13

@SahashraLA Haha, I so agree with the "mindless sheep" sentiment. I know so many dudebro gamer's that just follow the herd, whatever someone else in my shop gets, they get. Unless it is me, cause I am not a "real" gamer by their standards, aka: an FPS or GTA style of game player. That's OK, they work FOR me at a 1/3 of my pay, because they choose to not advance their skills. Always better to be a leader rather than a follower.

Re: Feature: The Biggest Wii U Games of 2014

Zodiak13

@dumedum almost the same top 3. 1. X 2. Bayonetta 2 3. MK8. I 'm the weird Nintendo fan that doesn't play SSB games. Not cause it's a bad game, but I don't enjoy playing with other people, and that game is really best enjoyed multiplayer from what I understand. I will probably get everything on the list except SSB and Scram Kitty, looks like a good year ahead.

Re: Site News: How was 2013 for Nintendo Life?

Zodiak13

I only check 2 sites daily, NL, and a Notre Dame Football site called One Foot down. The reason for both, I love Nintendo and Notre Dame Football, and they both have a great group of people writing articles as well as great commentors. I love the comment section, even if I don't post as much as some folks, I read almost all articles comment section, even if the story presented is "meh" to me.

Also, the moderators do a great job here, even if I have been on the wrong end of a deleted post. The rules have been followed very consistantly, which is how it should be. Hope 2014 is a great year for everyone, even people who like Sony and Dudebro games . Long Live Nintendo Life!!!!

Re: This Video Brings Back Festive Sega Memories of the '90s

Zodiak13

Well, other than displaying a very spoiled kid, it was kind of cool to watch how excited this kid got. Glad to say I will stick with Nintendo, and wherever they go I will follow. PS4 and XB1 is just more of the same, and I'm no dudebro gamer. There is a very small chance I will get a PS4, but only if 5 RPG's that I really want come out for it. It would be cool if something new came out that got me excited as well, but I doubt that will happen. One good thing of the current state of gaming, is I spend way less money these days because there is very little I want to play on the market, and almost all of it is on a Nintendo system. At least Tales of Xillia and Dragon's Crown gave me something non-Nintendo to buy.

Re: Soapbox: Even With The Arrival Of PS4 And Xbox One, I'd Still Pick The Wii U

Zodiak13

@Excep7ional No his points instantly become invalid when they don't take into account this is an editorial. When you start a rant on the wrong premise, it can generally be disregarded out of hand. I disagree with many people on this site, often frequently, but don't feel the need to comment since it is their opinion. I don't care one iota about his opinions one way or the other, it irritates me that he acts like this is an article, not an editorial, which it is. We were laughing so much much because his rant is based on a false premise, that this is a normal article. Heck it says Soapbox at the top.

Re: Review: LEGO Marvel Super Heroes (Wii U)

Zodiak13

Love the Lego series games. Its one of the few games me and my son both enjoy playing, which makes them even more special to me. Yes it's more of the same per say, but yet I've enjoyed every version except the Indiana Jones games.

Re: Soapbox: Even With The Arrival Of PS4 And Xbox One, I'd Still Pick The Wii U

Zodiak13

Wow lots of posts. Honestly I try to look at it this way. If I want the system with the most 3rd party support, XbBONE and PS4 will definately be where it is at. If I want just great 1st person games that I just always seem to love, I'd go with Nintendo. I understand the draw of the PS4/XBONE, but those great 3rd party games just and their exclusives just don't really entice me.I'm sure I will get both systems eventually, but for now I am good with the WiiU and the 3DS that never leaves my side. Good article, and more importantly, good conversation/comment topic. Whatever you all play, I hope everyone has fun.

Re: Review: 3D Space Harrier (3DS eShop)

Zodiak13

Enjoying Hang-On more, but still enjoyable. I just remembered I played this on a neighbors PC growing up, like late 80's maybe. Have a feeling I will barely play it ever again, but glad to support Sega releasing more games on the 3DS.

Re: Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth Announced For 3DS

Zodiak13

@CanisWolfred PS1 Persona 1 and 2, Persona 3, and I have friends w/ P4 Golden. Just none of them interest me, the PS1 titles were at least ok, I can't stand 3 or 4, just ain't my thing. Not saying they are bad games, just not my thing. I love Atlus and their unique RPG styles they try, so I give them credit for that always.

Re: Target To Offer 3DS XL Consoles For Only $149.99 On Black Friday

Zodiak13

@LDXD My home 3DS XL is for long stategy/RPG's, The on the go 3DS XL is for AC:NL and all my downloaded E-shop games. My regular 3DS is mainly for platformers, plus I like all the streetpasses I get so I can get far in the Mii Plaza games since no one seems to pass me much, and I don't live near a street pass hotzone or whatever it is called.
