Persona is one of the few RPG franchises that interests me less than 0%. Glad its coming to the 3ds for people that enjoy the series, I however hope it is a way different style of game from the core Persona series
I have had a great time plaing this game. It may not be the best platformer ever, but I've enjoyed playing it way more than I expected. Worth a buy for platformer fan's, or anyone who wants to support Shinen to keep them making other great games for Nintendo systems.
Hmm, I get 40% off at Fred's on Black Friday and this may go into my cart as a stocking stuffer for my son. I love having a 9 year old son to buy games for. I can get some of them for him, even though I secretly want to play them myself. Buying them for him keeps my wife less irritated at me for buying yet another game.
Well, the bedroom is missing a Wii U, so I will get one last one, and this game will be in that system at all times. Will pick this up, along with Pikmin 3, Splinter Cell, ACIV, and Rayman on Black Friday. They all look like a blast, but I am addicted to Zen Pinball...
@linktothepichu Because I hate free to play because it creates a bad gaming culture in which everyone expects everything to be free or $0.99. Developers and studios who make money allow themselves to invest more time and money to create even better product. I was gonna get this on my XL but i bought it on all 4 of my 3DS's just to support this company more.
Wow, blatant rip-off. I do expect this garbage from IOS, so I am not suprised. Hope the developer gets sued or the game does poorly in sales. Yeah its bitter sounding, but I hate this kind of crap. I would feel the same way if it was a Little Big Planet clone, and I hate Sony.
Although I hate Sony as a company, I must say that this was nice to hear. Bashing your compition seems infantile and serves no purpose. I will probably get the PS4 years down the road like I did with the PS3, but only for the few exclusive titles I actually want to play. Yoshida has however given some reputation points back to Sony, and maybe one day my anger with their crappy customer service will subside.
I use to play fps back when Counter Strike was in beta and up to the first couple of years of source. I actually enjoyed the games and playing online, but the fact is I can't stand all these "dudebros" who play and think they are gamers and that I am not one because I like games that require pixel perfect control and actual skill. So I will be skipping this, unless I come across it super cheap. These controls look interesting enough to at least try them in that case.
@MadAussieBloke Exact opposte here. I play all 3 of my 3DS' daily and my WiiU only rarely. 28 retail boxed games, 4 retail DL games, and 50+ e-shop/VC games for my 3DS.Best current system I own.
@element187 I love AC:NL and consider myself a veteran gamer. Although I love difficult platformers and long tedious RPG's, there is something relaxing about playing AC games. I play it every morning before work, and right before I go to bed usually. I can see how many people wouldn't get into it, heck, I thought it was a silly concept until I played it and got hooked. This is definately my favorite version to date.
I love the 2DS because it feels like an old school handheld when I play it. Also it is my always plugged in to the wall cartridge only handheld now. I play a lot of ds/3ds games just chillin in my chair in the office. Way more than my 360/ps3/WiiU. Guess I think of it as just a gaming system, not just a portable one.
@SirGreatNose Good to hear. My son really wants this game, and I am trying to get past my "I won't buy anything Disney has its fingers in" stance. On another note, I am a huge DC fan, I only like Ghost Rider, Moon Knight and Captain America from Marvel. Everyone in the USA have a fun and safe Halloween.
@Bliquid I am a fool then because GTA series is garbage that makes me feel like I went into a slum and and crawled on my hands and knees the whole time.
I wonder how much money it cost to make and promote GTAV, my guess, waaaaay more. So although it will sell more copies the actual profit may not be as far off. I can't imagine that Pokemon games are huge budget by any means. Although not of the "main" series, spinoff games and merchandise also make a lot of money for Pokemon as well.
Shock... people like Pokemon??? All kidding aside, I like hearing good news about Nintendo. I will eventually pick up a copy of both titles and actually play one for the 1st time ever. I have fired up all the Pokemon games I own just to make sure everything is kosher, but I have never sat and actually played them. I should write a review, subject heading "Old Nintendo fanboy finally plays a Pokemon game he's bought". Very curious if I will like this series, I am trying to go in it open minded.
Maybe some Escape from Zombie City when I know more about it. Getting my son Pokemon for Christmas and since I have never played them before, it will be my inaguaral outing when I play one of his copies. Assuming he lets me .
If only I knew how to play, and of course wanted to learn. Only board game per se that I liked was Axis and Allies. I thought that by my current age I would have wanted to play things like chess, checkers, scrabble and the like, but my apathy toward them has only increased. Oh well.
All I have to say is being PC is garbage. Everyone takes everything to seriously. I work with a black, an asian, massively obese, extremely old, hawaiin, and a lesbian in my shop, and I'm the OCD dude with a gambling problem. All we do all day is make fun of eachother, and we have a blast. Best workplace environment I've ever worked. Everything in life can be construed to be anti-something. The fact we can't laugh at our quirks and fitting a stereotype is what makes this world untolerable for the most part. The more you go looking for this kind of stuff, the less you can fully enjoy life.
I will get my son one, since he always wants the 3D on when playing mine, yet he never feels good after he plays with it on. This will be perfect for him to play at home, since that is the only place he can earn the time to play video games. Yes, I make my son earn video game time, either through physichal activity or chores. I am excited to check this out when I give it to him, although I am unsure if I will wait for Christmas or just buy one and hand it to him randomly.
It will of course join my collection of Nintedo handhelds. Not sure how much I will use it. I plan to play some of my longer play time games that I own physically on it. Maybe a dedicated RPG/Strategy handheld. I do know it will not leave the house.
As with all EO games, this will be a day 1 purchase. This has become my favorite RPG series of the last 10 years. Anyone that has never played this before should give it a whirl. You may be amazed at how fun this game can be.
As a non Sonic fan, I must say I am actually interested in this game, at least the WiiU version. However I will read reviews for it very carefully before I commit. I have wasted $ too many times in the past on other Sonic games, highly acclaimed and average, so it is just possible that Sonic games just are not my thing.
Agree, agree. I love pinball games more than I should and I can barely take this port. I hope they can patch this or whatever to make the crashing stop.
@Rafie You mean if they make Persona good, then you'll be good right?? , just giving you a hard time, one of the few RPG's Atlus has made that I so don't like. I will say it would be nice if they came to a Nintendo system for once so thers could try it, since so many are passionate about that franchise.
All deaths are sad, but they hit home more when a person dies that has had an effect on our lives. Nintendo games have been a part of my life since I was 6, when the NES first came out, and my life would have a hole w/out them in it. R.I.P. and thanks for everything you helped Nintendo do.
I remember being rather irritated that my sister beat the game before I was able to, even though I was just 6 years ld and she was 13. She beat it like the 2nd week we owned it, and it took me 3 months or so to finally get that monkey off my back. Great game, but it is not one I've ever felt the need to revisit. I feel the urge to play SMB 2 & 3 but never this title.
Wow always thought i was in like a 1% minority on this subject. Hate GTA and everything it stands for. Then again almost everything that is cool in pop culture is absolute rubbish to me. Hate facebook, smart phones, reality tv and mma. Boy I'm a man out of his era. Wish I was older in the 80's, I would have fit in better then .
I was in my too cool for Mario and Zelda title when the Gamecube was out. I picked up Windwaker well into the Wii life cycle and barely played it. Look forward to actually putting some real play time into this version. I have not been this excited to play a Zelda title in a while, but something about this rerelease has me stoked.
Just some AC:NL as I wake up and Zen Pinball on WiiU since I'm on day 8 of 28 days straight at work. Wanna play Pikmin 3, W101, Rayman, and Splinter Cell but no time atm. They are cruelly sittting in front of me unopened, taunting me, lol.
My household has a strict no smart phone/tablet rule. I have noticed that society as a whole has become even sadder as whole socially. I have disassociated with many long time friends because the "phone" has become their life. Hanging out with them is frustrating becuse they are on the "phone" all night and conversation is very weak. I don't play my 3DS's when I am out with friends, which are always with me, because that would be rude. I hope this phone crap fades from being life enveloping, and I hope Nintendo stays away from it. Sorry bout the soapbox. More to point, Nintendo I think will be ok w/out ios. Although I would not follow them to an ios format. All the younger kids I know know of Nintendo. Alot of them play Mature content at a very young age because the parents don't care. I have raised my son to be a responsible gamer, limiting time/having to earn playing time, and to explain why at 9 years old he shouldn't be playing certain games. My son who has played some games that are not for his age group has told me that Nintendo games are just more fun to play. That is why Nintendo will stick around. Young or old, many people just enjoy playing their games.
@IxnayontheCK I agree. I own nonw of these games. I own just the RPG's that came out for the Wii and I bought Galaxy for $5 at a retro game shop down the street. Motion controls really irritated me, hence why my 360 collection is bigger than my Wii collection. Never anytime before have I owned more non Nintendo console games in a current gen than when Wii was around. Heck, I hate Sony and I own 8 games on PS3 which is 1 less than my Wii. I will pick up Galaxy 2 probably now, but on the fence on NSMBW.

Picked it up and its actually quite fun. Not a big puzzle guy, but I do like these games periodically. Plus the price is awesome.
